Top 10 Pop and Rap Songs Metal_treasure Likes
In a discussion Skullkid755 asked me if I liked any pop or rap songs/artists and this list is my answer.I am a metal fan and I noticed that outside metal I'm looking mostly for good female vocals because in metal I usually hear male vocals - I guess I need some balance.
I already realized that in music outside metal I look for the same things I have in metal: music talent and something that blows my mind (in pop music it's usually a talented female singer with great vocal skills).
What a vocal performance! One of the best in all pop I've ever heard. Hands down.
Christina Aguilera is an extremely talented singer - her voice is amazing, rich and full; her pitch is perfect and her range is impressive (4+ octaves).
Fruit snacks, this is amazing!
I like Adele voice and also she can sing, she's very talented. I like 3-4 uptempo songs by her (her slow songs just aren't my cup of tea).
If there were more singers and songs like this one, I would listen to more pop.
Anastacia's got an incredibly powerful voice and she's a very good songwriter.
She's American and I don't know why she isn't popular in the US.
This is the rap song I like the most.
It's interesting for me how Metal_Treasure dishonorable mentioned Rap on his remix of Best Music Genres.
Celine Dion is an awesome singer and has many good songs. But I like this song the most because it is full of life.
Not a fan of Michael Jackson voice but I like this song. I particularly like the bassline that Michael Jackson lifted from Daryl Hall & John Oats - their song 'I Can't Go for That (No Can Do)'.
I don't know why I like this song but there's something in the music that I subconsciously like, probably the rhythm, beat (definitely it isn't the lyrics or vocals).
I like this ballad because melody isn't simple or cheesy, and it isn't annoyingly catchy. This song is an incredible vocal performance with immense emotion. Lyrics are very good, too:
"If I could paint a picture of this melody
It would be a violin without its strings
And the canvas in my mind
Sings the songs I left behind
Like pretty flowers and a sunset"
I think I like this song for that stomping beat - it is very catchy. And of course, Adele sings it amazingly.
ABBA are like the classical of pop. Their songs are very well written with obvious knowledge about composing. And singers are very good.
I like several ABBA songs - songs that are more energetic and fast paced, like this one, SOS, Waterloo, Does Your Mother Know.
This one is the most is the most surprising for me.
