Egnomac's Loud House Episode Review Season 2 Episode 25A The Crying Dame
egnomac S2E25 A The Crying Dame, Desperate to stop Lily from crying the kids find Lori's old favorite singing toy Fenton the fox which quickly becomes Lily's favorite but Fenton's repeated song quickly drives everyone crazy.The episode starts with Lily crying as the kids try to find out why as Lisa checks Lily's diaper to see if she needs a diaper change, shortly mom and dad show up as the kids tell them Lily has been crying for an hour now and they can't figure out as they point out she's not hungry, gassy or sleepy as Rita assures them them that sometimes babies cry and you don't know the reason as Lynn Sr. adds they did a lot of crying when they were babies except for Lucy who just starred at them which is why they grew her bangs out as Lucy points out she can still see them which scares them . They assure them to just need to have a little patience with her and she will stop crying when she's ready, still annoyed with Lily's crying Lori has an idea remembering her old favorite toy Fenton the singing fox she had when she was a baby. They search the attic and find Fenton as Lori shows him to Lily who begins singing "Cheer up baby, don't you cry, no more tears its cheer up time, Laugh with me and we will be Happyhappyhappy", which gets Lily to stop crying as she happily embraces Fenton. However Mom and Dad are immediately horrified that the kids found Fenton explaining that the toys constant singing drove them crazy to the point that they almost didn't have anymore children as Lisa hilariously replies "Well you certainly went the other way with that!" as the two get out their ear muffs and look to sound proof their room as Luna tells them their overreacting as its just a cute little toy as Rita assures them its cute now but they'll all see.
They of course think nothing of it that is until their parents warning comes back to haunt them as Lily has been playing Fenton's song non stop as everyone becomes incredibly annoyed that their unable to do their things and even Lori's friends Whitney and Becky can't stand it and leave. Three whole days have passed and the kids have had enough of Fenton's singing and decided that Fenton must go, next scene the siblings hold a meeting as to discuss on how to rid themselves of Fenton as he points out Lily has Fenton with her at all times with the only time she is separated from him is during diaper change which is the perfect time to strike as he orders them into action only for them all to leave before he can finish his sentence. The kids put their plan in motion with Luan changing Lily's diaper while Leni and Luna keep her distracted while the others get rid of Fenton and dump him at a nearby dumpster, after the diaper change Lily is left sadden to find Fenton missing with her stuffed giraffe as the kids put their next phase of their plan into action as they do everything they can to keep her from crying until she falls asleep as Lincoln congratulates them on a job well done only for them to again leave before he can finish. The next morning everyone is happy over finally having a good night sleep without having to listen to Fenton's song but their celebration is short lived as Luna brings Lily down for breakfast Lily is still depressed by Fenton's disappearance so much that she is too sad to even eat, the kids continue to try and cheer her up, Lincoln tries to get her to build a block castle as she knocks over the blocks, Luan makes a balloon dinosaur for her which Lily pushes it away as it pops after bumping into a cactus as the googly eyes float around Lucy face which looks pretty funny before popping, Lana attempts to make a pillow fort with her but Lily leaves and looks over at the photo of Lori and Fenton calling out to him as the kids realize the reason she's been so sad is they didn't make her forget about Fenton they just kept her from crying and even though they love the peace and quite its not worth it if their baby sister is sad as Lola hating to say it but they have to get back the fox.
The kids go back to the the dumpster where they dropped him off but don't find him there as the trash has been picked up as they drive to the dump, they manage to find Fenton but are too late as the toy is destroyed right before their eyes in the trash compactor, with Fenton gone they drive back home defeated as Leni delivers a really funny line "Poor Lily she'll probably grow up super gloomy and listen to sad music all the time" as Lucy happily replies "We can only hope". Luna begins humming the Fenton song as Lola annoyed tells her to stop as Luna replies as annoying as the song may be its pretty catchy as Lincoln has another idea. The kids surprise Lily by having Lincoln dress up as Fenton as he dances as Luna sings Fenton's song cheering up Lily as everyone else joins in and sings, Lincoln breaks the fourth wall as he tells the audience that they maybe doing this for the rest of their live but at least Lily is happy. Rita and Lynn Sr. come home and are horrified to see the kids all singing and dancing to the Fenton song as they put on their earmuffs and runaway screaming as the episode ends with the sun turning into Fenton as it winks at the audience.
Little trivia this and its sister episode Anti Social premiered on Black Friday the day after Thanksgiving and served as the lead-in to the premier of Hey Arnold The Jungle Movie, overall I really enjoyed the episode it had plenty of funny moments like when Rita and Lynn Sr. reveal they purposely grew out Lucy's bangs to cover eyes as she constantly starred at them when she was a baby thinking that she wouldn't be able to see them as Lucy points out she can still see them which petrifies them and in a very funny scene when Lily pushes Luan's dinosaur balloon and it pops and its eyes land on her hair. An while the kids getting rid of Fenton because it was driving them crazy which causes Lily to become depressed was pretty terrible they do eventually realize they were wrong to do it and do try to get it back only for it to get destroyed and eventually cheer her up by having Lincoln dress as Fenton as they all sing and dance to the Fenton song and it really shows how great siblings they are which was the highlight of the episode, without a doubt this is a GOOD EPISODE.
