Top Ten Akame Ga Kill Characters
Just a polarizing character. She's far from one dimensional. Her dad raised her to fend for herself, and only view life as the strong above the weak. He wasn't nurturing, and her perception of the world was forever tainted. Until she met Tatsumi, would she begin to imagine sentiment, having never really grasped what it meant to lose a truly loved one (her dad forbidded her to lament his passing, and she was too young to really know her mother. Sadly, but also positively, she dies cradling the one person she loved, and was willing to fight for (she stated she wouldn't let anything happen to him, even when he was imprisoned, and I think she couldn't bring herself to torture him).
Wow, the comments here are wild. Esdeath is "caring", "misunderstood", "really wants love, "her personality is a little screwed up"? Talk about minimising her mass-murdering and torture. She's absolutely immoral. She can be nice if she likes you or boil you slowly alive because she wants to hear your screams. She's an amazing villain and my favourite character, but try not to make a mountain into a molehill, okay?
I'm sorry but I don't like her. Her love for Tatsumi was one-sided and she didn't know when to give up. Plus, she's the reason why so many great characters in this series died. In the anime, she selfishly freezes Tatsumi and herself together and dies. She should have had a more brutal death, considering what happened to all the members of Night Raid.
Beautiful, strong, and caring, she is by far the best character in Akame Ga Kill. She has a tragic past, but a strong heart. She really wants love, but is often misunderstood about it. She has the power to turn anything to ice, and has the power to freeze time. Overall, she's one of the best female villians in anime.
She might not look like she cares but she does. Remember the time she pulled off Tatsumi's shirt? It's because she didn't want him to hide his injuries. She always hides her emotions and makes people think she's deals with it but it's because's she's used to it.
She was my favourite from the start. Such a badass killer she is still my no 1 swordsmen in all anime even though this anime is not at my top list. I literally enjoyed her every scene
I love Akame, I mean she is one of the few characters that actually has a great development. She reminds me of Blake Belladonna from RWBY.
She is like so badass and deserve to be No. 1.
To be honest, I don't think Esdeath should be in the top five; she has weird logic and ideals. I don't really get why she is at the top. I do like her though.
Lubbock is rated above Akame. I don't get why seriously. AKAME SHOULD BE RATED number 1 URGH
BUT I do love Esdeath and Lubbock
She was the best character ever. I wish she had gotten to live a peaceful life with Tatsumi but she instead got the worst death in the entire series. I'm so sad every time I think about her and I can't get her off my mind. I love to think that she meets up with Tatsumi in the afterlife as it is implied that there is a afterlife in the series. I hate kurome and seryu for what they did to her. R.I.P Chelsea, you're the best.
I was sad when she died, having transitioned to be accepted by the team, but it made sense, as she took risks she wouldn't normally take.
My Favorite. She ranked 2 in the official character poll, beating Mine, who was 3rd, and Coming behind Esdeath, who was 1st.
Chelsea is way better than Mine in the series. I wish that she and Tatsumi to be together.
Lubbock is an amazing character. He was born into a rich family and could have whatever he wanted and yet he chose to fake his death and join Night Raid. He was the most relatable character and he was smart enough not to plunge into a fight he knew he would lose. Also, I liked the way he gained ideas on how to use his weapon by reading manga. I was so sad that he died, but he accepted his death and died with a smile. He was just trying to make the world a better place and he made the show. Also, I ship him with Tatsumi, but that's just my opinion.
Lubbock was just wonderful. In an anime in which all of the battles are just explosions and screams, a competition of 'who farts louder', every battle of his was an absolute pleasure to watch. Besides, he was the smartest, the funniest and one of the cutest things I've seen in the last year!
Lubbock is an amazing character. He seems like a perv at first. But then he grows as a character. I want someone like him to become my best friend. Plus he's cute. I cried for like an hour after he died.
Too bad he hd to die but he was the imperial genius I would say...his character had everything, funny moments and most importantly his combat level was way too high
Just flat out funny. His one liners made the anime light hearted. I like his transition to being a more adept fighter.
I don't care! I am GLAD that Tatsumi is the protagonist and not Akame!
My favourite character
Tatsumi's my boy!
Honestly she's the best character. I love how tsundere she is and how she never gives up. "Like hell I'll lose" I love when she says that
Love mine and tatsumi
Great upbeat character with the most tragic death. During a celebration of lights and a bright future, she died knowing she'd never see it, bleeding out in a dark alley way.
Leone is the most beautiful anime woman ever, hands down!
Just out of curiosity, do you think she'd be a good mother?
I'm obsessed with her she's cute. Hot sexy sweet
Cute, had badass moments, her relationship with Wave is interesting and her manga counterpart has been developed pretty well.
Hate her don't think she should be on this list!
At first he was attracted to Tatsumi, as was everyone else (I think because the kingdom didn't ruin his optimism). He transitions to being his older brother, and teaches him tough love when he needs it.
How could you forget about the leader of Night Raid?
She shouldn't have died. No, I mean it. When she fought with Seryu Ubiquitous she would've cut through her because her scissors can cut through anything, but somehow Seryu managed to block her attacks. She should've won.
Sheele may of been an airhead, but she was super nice and really strong. She was willing to sacrifice herself for her friends and in my mind that's what true bravery is.
My heart is still broken :'( she was so strong and she died because Mine could not do a thing. She sacrifice herself to save Mine and she was so kind to Tatsumi. She is wonderful, really.
I wish she had lived.
He was the most composed. When his grandson died, he was sad for a second a gained his composure. A great character, he didn't have to die when he was just trying to help the emperor.
People must be insane to like Honest at all. The only good thing about him was when he said, "Oh well." And that's about it.
He really is like Tatsumi, the only major difference being that he fought on the other side and that he managed to survive till the end of the anime series.
One of the best characters. Sure he was an idiot but pretty strong and his personality and how did he stand for normal people as a soldier was so amazing. Glad he didn't died
He is a great character and he deeply cares about his comrades
He's simply a badass
The coolest this guy made me love Akame Ga Kill more than before
I love her character. Sure, she was a bit crazy but she had a reason for it.
Had a reason for being crazy, still a sweetie to her comrades and at least checked for civilians before essentially nuking Mine
My absolute favorite character she was an amazing grey character
I love this guy so much. He understands all the wrongs he did and is so humbled by his past mistakes he wants to help everyone, heck, even wants the enemy to join them, that's how much he wishes he didn't have to fight them. Such a tragic end, just makes me hate Chelsea more.
Just not the strong silent type, hence my high ranking. You can't always judge a book by its cover.
Good Character, Good dad, and Great personality.
Please tell me how you could forget Bols.
He has an imperial arms that is basically angel wings. He's cute, and he was against the corrupt capital and tried to change it without resorting to violence. He's a sweet guy.
Her emotional strength at such a young age, and after enduring such traumatic events earn her a high rank in my book.
Makoto, why does that sound so familiar... Oh wait, it sounds like Makoto Ito! Damn you, School Days!
For the empire!
Ridiculously OP and can regenerate.
