They has the most potential for canon out of any other pairing, historically and based on the characters' actions within the series. The close relations between the United States and Britain were referred to as a "special Relationship" by Winston Churchill, and is considered one of the cornerstones of stability around the world. Both countries acknowledge that out of all their other relations with countries, their relationship with each other is the most important and withstanding. It stands the test of time, despite the fact that the US had separated from Britain many years back.

Despite their constant bickering in the anime, they do truly care for one another deeply, as is made apparent frequently. The Revolutionary War could be seen as the US no longer wanting to be seen as a little brother in England's eyes, but as a man. England struggles with this thought for a while, and is hurt by the fact that America doesn't want to be his brother, but I think he learns to understand what America wished to gain from that.

Trust me, I could write a book about USUK and why it should totally be canon.

I have always loved this pairing! Their history makes sense and judging by how the series portrayed their relationship with each other, Spain had been passionate with Romano. And whenever Spain had gotten close to other people, he would immediately get jealous and protective of him. I even saw a comic strip of Romano doing his best to keep Spain from dying because of his cold. Romano also had a cold but he still went on to save Spain. He even stood up from his Mafia even though he's usually being pushed around by them.

This is truly my OTP. I think that their personalities compliment each other so much, and let's face it, Germany must be really fond of Italy to put up with him for so long. Also, Italy constantly wants to be around Germany and looks up to him so much. Italy believes that Germany can help him out of any situation, and trusts Germany more than anyone else. Besides the fact that Germany tolerates Italy, Italy was also his first friend. I believe that Italy taught him how to be a friend.

They just fitting so good together. They spend so much time together... And they raised counties together like parents. In "Paint it white"the globe said that they don't really hate each other (Japanese version), France also cares for england when he gets sick and he wanted to do "something" with england before america comes in. At Halloween France comes over to englands house and so he did after Russia jumps out of the plane. England invaded the half of France:France wanted to marry england and ripped his shirt off... And nobody knows what the real reason for the 100year-war was.

I feel that this ship would cause their personalities to balance out in such a drastic way that it unsettles everyone, including themselves. Since when was Prussia ever nervous? Since when did Canada speak up for himself? As long as you keep yourself from falling into the boring cliches this ship is known for, you can do a whole lot with it!

Although this may be over-analizing, I think they are a perfect pairing. Prussia is a self-loving ex-country who will not listen to anyone but himself, and yet when Canada offers him the maple syrup, he takes it. Also, Prussia is the one of the only nations that actually remembers Canada, unlike America or France.
Anyway, I'd ship them.

Denmark and Norway are a beautiful pairing... Their histories are intertwined with each other in many ways (they were together with Sweden in the Viking era, and even unified for many years) They act similarly to many other popular pairings, such as USUK and Spamano; there is one character, Denmark, who is more outgoing and extroverted, and the other who silently shows affection, like Norway. Although he isn't what I would call a "tsundere, " I think that he does care for Denmark quite a bit. He isn't blushy and say the opposite of what he means, but rather does not express his love as outwardly as Denmark. They just mix so wonderfully and ah they are so cute.

Why is this pairing at 13?! Who wouldn't love this absolutely amazing pairing?! With silent Sweden always there to protect his wife, this pairing is already becoming more and more popular. GerIta and UsUk certainly have a close competitor if you ask me. > Besides, Sweden is homo... So it works PERFECTLY~! Now if only we could get Finland to acknowledge the relationship...

13th? Oh, come on. The one pairing with someone who is actually gay has SO much potential. They have hundreds of years of history together, so there's no end to the number of directions their relationship can go. Besides, this pairing is just so sweet~ Especially when you have Sealand as their son! Then it's just... Pure fluff... This pairing needs more love!

My favorite ship out there! This, PruCan, and FrUk NEED to be higher. This is a great ship, and Poland has been there for Lithuania the whole way. When Liet was abused and beaten by Russia during his time in the Soviet Union (read the strip "While You Were Gone" if you don't know what I'm talking about), Pol was there. They've had so many adventures as countries together. Not to mention it's adorable, AND it's canon. Need I say more? It's a great ship!

They are the cutest pairing! Liet protects Poland and Poland gives joy to Liet. They are both friends and they don't hate each other. They always spend time together too. Also in their versions of marukaite chikyuu, they both sing about each other! I think this is the best pairing out there

Read "Promised to me" by Daughter of the Revolution, and you'll see why I love this pairing so much. Russia is the October to America's April. They balance each other out with their similarities and differences!
Did you know that Russia was the only nation to help the Union during America's civil war? Even England was caught building ships for the Confederacy! Can you picture Russia watching his love writhe in pain from being torn apart by his civil war, and then Imagine America, in love with Russia, and when suddenly their ideals become opposite, how devastated he would be? It's so heartbreaking yet beautiful!
Ah, and imagine Russia, seeing his 'once lover' roaming about the crowds of nations. Imagine his distraught and confusion as to why he and America don't talk anymore. Much sad. Very feels.
That's what makes them my OTP, though. Nothing better than historical accuracy.

I can't believe how underrated this pairing is! Not only there is so much history between Italy and America but they are both so lively and fun, I think they make such a great pair! And one fun to watch even more!

Even though the pairing is practically crack, when you think about it... They'd be really perfect for each other. Not just cute, but really funny! Plus their respective families disapproving of the relationship makes it even funnier.

If they have child, they will be the greatest couple in the manga! Imagine a little Hk-Ice with mommy-Ice and daddy-Hong (or the inverse ), that's just cute!

Iceland and Hong-Kong married, have a lot of child and live happy together for the eternity and the story is perfect :3.

I absolutely love this pairing because of the absolute total dynamics of character, and the historical value in it. America is loud, ignorant, and he might actually slow down for shy thoughtful Canada. Historically, Canada has almost always been America's greatest ally, and America's largest trading partner. Peace Arch anyone?

I think the opposites attract dynamic is brilliant. On top of the fact that Canada and America have the largest undefended border. Let's forget about 1812, so what if they practically stabbed each others hearts? Most Hetalia pairings have bad blood.

1) They share so much in common... Not only linguistically, historically & culturally, but as fictional characters, too.
2) They know each other on a very familiar level...
4) It's canon that Iceland feels that "Norway is where his heart truly is".
5) The "strong and silent -type" and "tsundere -type" dynamics really work.
6) I like to believe that there is a reason why Iceland doesn't call Norway "brother"... He doesn't think of him that way, but as something more instead.

Man, if we would consider incest then think all the Northern Europe came from Asia. And rethink your views of incest. When a country is raised by others nations, that mixed their people to the "brothers", then I don't think is still incest. And Iceland raised itself since it's so far away. Of course the influences of the only ones he talked with it's obvious. My favorite pairing.

Really, I think it's quite obvious from the evidence in canon that they still have feelings for each other. Hungary is devoted to protecting Austria, cleans his rooms in secret, organises occasions where she can take photographs of his semi-naked body, complains when she isn't 'paired up' with him, blushes a lot in his presence and dressed up as his 'prince' on Halloween. In return, Austria sent her a present on Valentine's day, took her out for dates on Valentine's day and near Christmas, wore a dress for her, makes paper roses in attempt to restore her economy and was even willing to strip in public just so he could buy her the hat she wanted. Even Prussia acknowledged that they were in a relationship during the Christmas Event.

... Please, China totally has a brother complex... These two have a lot of problems today, but despite what they say, they are connected to each other and shares a lot in culture and language. WWII can be seen as Japan's over possessiveness towards China. My goodness this is a dramatic couple...

I really ship china as a bottom because he has a long hair and less seme compare to other nations and Japan is kuudere too! That makes him more seme and I wish there's more OTP and fanfiction about this paring more!

They are so cute with eachother, I love this- it's one of my OTP(Asakiku is my number one OTP). They both are Tsundere's, they are both cute and they get along with eachother even if people doesn't see it. They actually like each other very much, because they understand each others feeling- they both understand how it feels to be left alone. America left England and Romano is alone- well Romano is actually pushing people away, his brother is with him but is more with the axis, he have Spain but Spain is also with his
friends(bad touch trio) and his grandfather is somewhere else. So they understand each others feeling very well. This is one of my otp's. I love this pair, they're just so cute! ^-^

I like this pairing because you don't ever see them REALLY interact like America does with England, and I was starting to detest all of the UsUk out there, I just finished with AmeCan (not like hate, just couldn't find any other great fanfics) and was moving on to Franada, which I thought was weird at first, but cute too. ( my friend was all like "HAH, he is a heartless sex machine, he would jump into bed with his own son" ) And that's how I thought, Hey America was sorta France's son too, ya know if were going with the family thing. So that's how I found it.

There's no rhyme or reason to it, but this is definitely my OTP. I think they'd the most awesome couple ever.

Both Greece and Japan are cat lovers and the chances of seeing them in a fight are rare due to how laid-back Greece is and how polite Japan is. Because of their personalities, the two get along well. Their relationship is even hinted to be semi-canon in the manga and possibly the anime as Greece even invites Japan to take a nap with him (of which Japan assumes is a joke at first) though only Greece's side of the relationship is really shown here.

I ship Giripan because they 're so cute together and also canon (at the moment at least). In the Lazy Comic Country strip is heavily hinted that they had sex. If that's not canon, I don't know what is.

They are the cutest! America opened Japan's borders and they hang out all the time and they just work so well together! As a Japan roleplayer (and cosplayer), Ameripan is my number one ship that I'll always do, hands down. They just fit like two perfect puzzle pieces!

Mah baes *^* I tend to look at their history together in more of the Holocaust area. The GDR (what was previously Prussia) was taken over by the Soviet Union (do correct me if I'm wrong). Not much fluff there, seeing as most fanfictions taking place in that time are full of violence between the two. eVEN SO, I really find this pairing adorable. When I saw the episode in season 5 with both of them, I just... Couldn't contain myself.

Why none votes for this pairing? It's the most cute of the entire world of Hetalia! I love this couple, because of his shades, between the sadism and the pure love; in addition, memories of Russia's childhood and the Prussia's new situation after the WW II make everything so sad..
