Best Metal Songs of 2015

The Top Ten Best Metal Songs of 2015

1 Empire of the Clouds - Iron Maiden

Amazing masterpiece. The fact that Bruce Dickinson wrote the ENTIRE song and that he had THROAT CANCER while recording, not that specifically but that he sang beautifully and still rocked out but had it, was just a stellar achievement. I'm going to say it. This song is better than their 80s stuff. Their 80s stuff were undoubtedly masterpieces, but I like this song more. It's that amazing. - PhoenixAura81

Damn, Dickinson + Airships + Music just couldn't be better. Empire of The Clouds is one of the best songs I've ever listened to in my entire life. It's really unexplainable how 18 minutes can turn so fast yet delightfully. Masterpiece.

It seems like most of the metal legends made albums this year! - SirSkeletorThe3rd

I really love this song, from the melody to the tells a sad story in a very beautiful and poetic way, which is hard to do. Great job, Iron Maiden!

2 Cirice - Ghost B.C.

My new favourite Ghost song! Was a love at first listen when I first heard it in June. I could not tear myself away! Love the way the song builds and gets more intense with each chorus. The solo is also one of their best. - IronSabbathPriest

I may not be a fan of real santanic bands like mayhem but I love ghost b.c. this song is amazing

Now this is METAL!

NO, please. Here is why:
1) a ripped off riff, composed of 2 Slayer riffs: Skeletons of Society and a close variation of the intro to Raining Blood
2) the solo is nothing special and is instantly forgettable (might be one of THEIR best but not one of the best of 2015)
3) vocals are weak and poppy
4) melody is very mainstream-ish and probably this song isn't even metal
5) if there's something interesting in this song, these are the Slayer riffs
6) it's the most overrated metal song of 2015 (if it's metal at all) and one of the most overrated songs in metal history because it even got a Metal Grammy for Best Metal Performance. Wow. - Metal_Treasure

3 Repentless - Slayer

This song is badass!

Fast and heavy, just like the old times.

This song is so badass and amazing. - DarkBoi-X

Lame and not badass. Trap Queen shpuld replace this. At least Fetty Wap has a sicker beat.

4 Implode - Slayer

It seems like every time I get into a new metal band they always make a new album. I got into Slipknot around 2014 and they made a new album. I got into Slayer and Ghost in 2015 and they made new albums! - SirSkeletorThe3rd

5 The Vengeful One - Disturbed

I love this song, It is the return of Disturbed for me

Epic Song

6 The Ninth Wave - Blind Guardian

Blind Guardian epicness comes with perfection and stellar musicianship again. - Metal_Treasure

This song is the masterpiece of 2015. It’ incredibly epic and powerful. It also has that AMAZING CHOIR IN THE BEGINNING! - PhoenixAura81

7 The Throne - Blind Guardian
8 Jekyll and Hyde - Five Finger Death Punch

I guess this song is okay but the lyrics are trash.

LOL, why you guys think this is metal? It's NOT metal. I am 100% sure. - Metal_Treasure

9 The Red and the Black - Iron Maiden

Its like a much more longer version of the trooper and its catchy

Best metal song in 2015 hands down. This song is a masterpiece

Very blazing song. Tom Araya has serious passion in his voice, and Paul Bostaph's blast beats during the main verses are AWESOME!

16 No Hope In Sight - Paradise Lost
17 The Mephistopheles of Los Angeles - Marilyn Manson

Not metal. It's blues rock.

Manson never fails to impress!

The song is epic deserves to be in top ten - Toucan

24 Call to Destruction - Nile

26 To Hell and Back - Symphony X

I honestly think this truly defines metal epicness in 2015. Nine and a half minutes of great musicianship and incredible songwriting. With an intro sounding like a crossover between "Under a Glass Moon" (Dream Theater) and "The Evil That Men Do" (Iron Maiden) some amazing vocals by Russel Allen with the songs great choruses, the verses also remind me a lot of Matt Barlow. Some great riffing and soloing by Michael Romeo, as well as a groovy keyboard solo. Probably the best Symphony X song of all time, in my opinion. - IronSabbathPriest
