Top Ten Most Boring Marvel Cinematic Universe Movies
Today as I'm making this list on July 5th of 2019, Spider-Man: Far From Home is released in theaters, the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming and the 23rd movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, or MCU for short. I'll maybe see it sometime in the future but to celebrate it I'm making a list about the MCU. The most boring movies in the MCU. Personally Spider-Man: Homecoming was a bit boring and cheesy in my opinion so that's why I'm making this specific list. Keep in mind I haven't seen the Iron Man trilogy, Captain Marvel or Avengers: Endgame as of July 5th 2019 so that's why I don't have them on the list. With that being said, here's the list. This was an easy pick for me. I don't actually think I've been this bored through a superhero movie since Batman vs. Superman. This was dreadfully boring. What even was the plot of this movie? I think it was some dark elve called Malekith trying to rule the world or something like that. I honestly don't remember. The action sequences feel pointless and dull and there's nothing exciting about them. This is the only movie on the list in which I was bored throughout the entire movie. Easy pick for #1.
Honestly, I thought Captain Marvel would be in this. The movie wasn’t that bad, but there were kinda a lot of slow scenes in it from what I remember.
In my opinion this was actually quite exciting. Maybe because I love south american settings. Yeah the plot was a bit stale but for some reason I thought it was thrilling
Sigh... At least they recast him
Stopped watching it
It's boring and has a lot of filler.
I'm watching it now, not that interesting
Second worst mcu movie
Now this movie has some pretty exciting and interesting parts. It's the original Thor movie in the MCU and has while a cliché story, it works well. The plot is simple but good and the story is nice. However the best parts are usually the ones on Asgard, the gods' realm. Most of the movie takes place on Midgard, AKA the earth. This movie is about gods and when stuff like this happens it loses its magic. Much like how the humans get more screentime than the transformers in Michael Bay's atrocious Transformers franchise. It becomes boring quite quickly. Although in this movie it still has a focus but eh it's still boring.
Age of Ultron is one of those movies in which hardcore marvel fans love, but normal marvel fans usually don't care for, and non-marvel fans usually hate. I'm a normal marvel fan who hates this movie. Maybe not hate but I certainly didn't like it. Partly because of what a snoozefest it is. I just don't care for the action scenes and the romance drags on as well. The final battle was a bit exciting so I'll give it that but other than it it's not something really not boring.
This was a huge step-down from the original Ant-Man. While I enjoyed the movie, it felt a lot less interesting and the villians were too. The action scenes are stilll a bit thrilling but it's way less fascinating than in the original. I still like the movie but it's a lot more boring than the original.
I liked this one. I found it hilarious and enjoyable. Maybe the plot could be better, but it’s still pretty good to me.
To be honest I never seem to have understood why this was such an acclaimed movie. I thought it would be a masterpiece but the movie just never seemed to have a focus until two hours in or so when the airport scene came. This made the movie boring because I could barely understand what the characters were doing because the plot seemed to have no focus. When it got focus it got a lot better but that was two hours in.
No one really seems to remember this specific movie even though chronologically this was the first movie in the MCU. It was your basic World War II movie with the main character going to defeat the nazis and stuff. This plot is definitely a bit basic and you can feel that this movie feels more like a stand-alone movie than an MCU movie. It's a bit boring but personally it's alright.
I liked this one, but what can I say? I like Captain America in general. Sorry if that sounded biased.
This is actually quite exciting but then again this one has some boring moments but not much. Due to being quite colourful and story is easy to understand this one is low on the list.
This is the first one I saw which makes it nostalgic for me. It was very good in my opinion. Among the best MCU movies
Marvel Phase Four is more like Marvel Phase Bore, aside from No Way Home and Loki. If you liked this movie good for you but I found it to be the most boring movie I've ever seen.
As adorable as girls think Tom Holland is, I thought his Spider-Man solo movies were worse than the Two Amazing Spider-Man movies. Homecoming even had to allude to the original Spider-Man 2's famous train scene, which makes me wonder how desperate the director was. And there is no indication that this Peter Parker gives a rat's rear end about responsibility.
This is one of those movies that may not actually be that boring, but that still had some wasted potential. Overall I really liked this Spider-Man movie but it's one of my lesser favourites of the series so far. Some parts are just corny and cringey honestly and some parts just feel like they drag on and on. It's a bit cheesy as well.
What? This was probably among the most exciting marvel movies I've seen. My legs were shaking when I watched this because it was just so thrilling
This may have been an improvement from Spider-Man: Homecoming, but Peter Parker is still quite the moron and still doesn't want to have any responsibilities. Not to mention that he almost nuked his bus. You may think this is some peachy McWonderful film, but it seems like every time Sony (and in this case, Marvel Studios) reboots the character, Peter Parker/Spider-Man seems to devolve. I think these are much worse Than Thor: The Dark World.
I wanted to fall asleep during the first hour. It was too slow and the talking went on for too long, filling up 1 third of the movie. The rest was good however.
Worst Avengers movie ever.
From here on, I ran out of boring movies so the last three on the list are actually not boring. This is though the most boring of the non-boring MCU movies. This is a good movie but sometimes it's definitely a bit boring. Sometimes it just feels like a cliché basic superhero movie with basic story and all that, you know how every non-marvel fan sees marvel as. Heroes stop bad guy from conquering the world with a special item and so on. So that's why it's on the list.
I feel nostalgic about this one, and I’m a very sentimental person, so I might be biased on my opinion on this movie. It’s personally my favorite MCU movie (I think)!
Again this is not boring but like with Avengers, at times it just feels a bit boring and stale. This movie has a lot better story and plot though than Avengers I must say so it's lower on my list.
I found this thrilling. African settings are awesome personally for me and the plot was very good but not too complex and stuff. This was not boring in my opinion really to be honest.
