Top Ten Beatles Songs That Give You Chills
There are many Beatles songs that send shivers up and down my spine. Which tunes do it to you? When I first listened to this song, I was at my friend's house next to her while she was sleeping. I was bored, so I decided to listen to some songs I never listened to before. First it was Gimme Shelter (which I loved), then A Day in the Life. After I finished it (without the mixed ending), I really liked it! Then I listened to the whole thing at home, and I loved it! Best Beatles song ever! (Also maybe the creepiest, haha. )
I used to play this song on the piano everyday, but I only began to appreciate the lyrics when I heard about the situation in Ukraine, and it came into my mind while I was playing it.
I listen to so many versions and it gives me chills every time especially thinking that it was the same 4 people that made I want to hold your hand
My favorite Beatles song right there!
And In The End, The Love You Take, Is Equal To The Love You Make.
What a way to end a career.
Perhaps because Lennon wrote it about his mother, Julia, who was killed by a car when John was seventeen.
This song brings tears to the eye
Haunting and prescient
As haunting as the original is, I personally prefer the version from Love with only an acoustic guitar, strings, and George's wonderful vocal.
Wistful and gorgeous
Yesterday was the first Beatles song I fell in love with (though Taxman was the first I heard and Norwegian Wood the first I noticed). It's not my favourite anymore, but I'll always have a soft spot for it.
Had trouble deciding between this and The Long And Winding Road. Both songs give me goosebumps. Beautiful.
John saying goodbye to liverpool in a beautiful way
I prefer the stripped down version on Naked, which is similar to what Paul does in concert, to the original. Especially the minor lyrical difference: anyway you'll always know the many ways I've tried.
To song is just to good
The vocals-only version that opens Love is breathtaking.
It's just 2 acoustic guitars and vocals but it's so powerful.
Ditto all of the "hooks" statements about She Loves You, maybe to an even greater degree.
Listen carefully for George's little "twangs", they are PERFECT.
Part of the Tsunami they created that swept everything else away.
This is the perfect love song 'til this day.
Early hit is probably the very best "pop rock" song ever recorded.
This song is beginning to end made up 100 percent of hooks, even the "bridge" and "chorus" are masterful pop hooks.
No wonder they slam-dunked America in 1964.
These aren't the kind of chills I want.
These are the bad kind of chills.
