Best Rhapsody (of Fire) Songs
Rhapsody has a lot of tracks blistering with epic power, but this is them in their prime. From the opening riff to the closing chord, this song pumps you up. Over a decade and several albums later, it's still the song that makes me want to don my armor, unsheathe my blade, and slay foul demons.
This is a really great song. I like the tone, the rhythm, and best of all, the drums. They had a really great drummer, and the bass drum is really well-played. Also, they have great vocals and guitarists too!
It was literally so powerful it pierced through my 12-year-long apathy, induced emotions I forgot for over a decade, and motivated me towards recovery. Five years later, I still listen to it and feel empowered.
Just epic. Excellent riff, lyrics, and rhythm. This was the first Rhapsody song I heard, and it was my favorite. 'Til today, I haven't changed my mind.
When a friend asks me which highlighted Rhapsody song to listen to, I reply Dawn of Victory and Emerald Sword.
This is their greatest song. Emerald Sword, Dawn of Victory, Holy Thunderforce, et cetera, are all great singles, but as a whole, Symphony of Enchanted Lands blows them out of the water. It's pure brilliance.
No song compares to Symphony of Enchanted Lands. It's a masterpiece - more than a metal song, it's an art.
A long epic that creates an incredible tale visually for the listener. Absolutely intense.
My favorite RoF song - it's heavy, melodic, and wonderfully crafted musically!
It combines the best of progressive, symphonic, and power metal. It is truly a masterpiece.
I'm so drawn into the story, with its starting and stopping. Such a great song.
Epic in every sense of the word. It makes the listener ready to fight.
This song just flat-out gets me screaming Har-Kuun! One of my VERY favorites by this incredible and unique band.
This song is truly a masterpiece. It starts with Fabio's amazing voice and then a half-song solo of pure neoclassical genius. Really awesome.
This is the most epic song by Rhapsody. I was searching for the most epic Rhapsody songs, and I saw this ranked 15th. It should be first.
Their best song, in my opinion. I can listen to it over and over again. Words can't describe its epicness.
Such a good song. Narration by Sir Christopher Lee as a Dark Lord and a guitar/flute solo battle that covers one of Vivaldi's Four Seasons - what's not to love?
Perhaps I'm biased because this was my first Rhapsody of Fire song, but I still feel it just edges out their other masterpieces like "Emerald Sword" and "Raging Starfire." The guitar solo is easily the greatest I've ever heard, and I think it has an even more epic feel than most of their other songs. And that's saying something.
The Newcomers
Absolutely beautiful song about Dargor's struggle with being half-demon. The chorus is inspirational, the lyrics are wonderful, and the music is gorgeous. I never thought a slow song would be my favorite, but Rhapsody of Fire amazed me with this masterpiece.
Listening to this song while at the train station, surrounded by the crowd, I can't stop imagining how they could die in my hands.
It's absolutely impressive how they manage to make a 20-minute song that doesn't get boring to listen to. Simply fantastic.
Impressive song, full of speed, and the harpsichord is so medieval and classic. Double bass and guitar riffs are outstanding, as well as Luca's fantastic virtuoso solo. This should be higher on the list.
In my opinion, this is the third-best song by Rhapsody after Emerald Sword and Dawn of Victory.
One of the only Rhapsody of Fire songs where the chorus doesn't sound too similar. Very memorable.
By far their best song and quite underrated.
Maybe just because it's the first song I heard by them, but this is by far my favorite.
The chorus is just mesmerizing. It has a sort of Emerald Sword feeling to it, just portrayed slightly differently. I would have this as my #2.
Great arrangements and chorus. It comes right after Emerald Sword, making a great start to the album.
What!? Why isn't this one higher up on the list? Sure, there are many other great songs, but for me, this one is one of my favorites, along with Emerald Sword, Holy Thunderforce, and Wisdom of the Kings.
This song shows the essence, brilliance, and epicness of Rhapsody at its peak. Rocking baroque and magnificent lyrics, bass, keys, and drums are all over the song. And the guitar of Luca is just the best. This should be high up on the list!
The fine conclusion to a saga that spanned ten whole albums and fourteen gorgeous years. We may bid farewell to Dargor and the world of Algalord, but the memories shall last us a lifetime and an eternity thereafter in the immortal soul of power metal.
By far the greatest song ever made by any musician.
I thought this song sounded cool, but it took on a whole new meaning when I read the lyrics. This song is extremely well done and tells an incredible story of loss and revenge.
How is this not in the top 10? Amazing song from start to finish. I really don't know why this song isn't in the top 10.
The first Rhapsody song and one of the best songs of all time. I don't know how this is not in the top 5. This song is amazing. Just listen to it.
This song is the best example that metal isn't just screams. It combines powerful music and classical sounds to create an epic experience!
Great mix of power metal and classical music!
This song is a complete masterpiece. One of the best songs of all time (if not the best). This song and Emerald Sword are the best Rhapsody songs. Masterpiece!
