Top 10 Best Songs From Metallica's Garage Inc.

This is a list of the best covers that Metallica performed on their album Garage Inc. It also mentions the original artists they covered.
The Top Ten
Turn the Page (Bob Seger)

This song is very good.

Am I Evil? (Diamond Head)
Mercyful Fate (Mercyful Fate)

WHAT?!? Why is this not at number one? The guitar work, the drums, the catchy tunes, the great vocals, and the variety - it's like six different songs in one. Sounds like a winner to me!

Everything seems to fit together: Lars' drumming, Kirk and James' guitar playing and vocals, and Jason's backing vocals and bass.

1: All the riffs are great.
2: All the solos are great.
3: The bass and drums are awesome combined with the guitars.
4: Vocals.
5: It's 11 minutes.

Whiskey in the Jar (Thin Lizzy)

Best Metallica song ever. Heavy intro until the ending part.

Much better than Thin Lizzy. This should be on the top.

This song is amazing when Metallica puts their twist on it. It's my favorite cover song of all time.

Astronomy (Blue Öyster Cult)

In my opinion, this is the best song on Garage Inc. Mercyful Fate and Am I Evil? are both close seconds, though.

My personal favorite song on this album! It should be higher on this list.

The best song from the atrocious first half of the album.

Stone Cold Crazy (Queen)

Queen sucked, and Metallica is the best band of any genre. Pretty much sums it up.

As much as I adore Queen, I think James's voice suited the song better.

I love both versions. I like the way James sings it.

Die, Die, My Darling (Misfits)

This deserves to be in the top ten.

Blitzkrieg (Blitzkrieg)
The Small Hours (Holocaust)
So What (Anti-Nowhere League)

The Newcomers

? Free Speech for the Dumb (Discharge)
? The Wait (Killing Joke)
The Contenders
Tuesday's Gone (Lynyrd Skynyrd)

Sounds almost like Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Breadfan (Budgie)
Sabbra Cadabra (Black Sabbath)

This has both Sabbra Cadabra and A National Acrobat.

It's Electric (Diamond Head)

I actually love this song.

Last Caress / Green Hell (Misfits)

Fast and a cover. Mind blown.

This is the best.

Overkill (Motörhead)
The Prince (Diamond Head)

Best song on the album.

Damage Case (Motörhead)
Helpless (Diamond Head)
Loverman (Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds)

I added this with the original artist. Metallica did an amazing version of this song. Metallica's version of Loverman is the closest thing to a sexy-sounding song. I don't think so, but the vocals and some lyrics make it understandable.

Killing Time (Sweet Savage)
Crash Course in Brain Surgery (Budgie)

Oh my god - I love this song so much. The bass is almost enough to make up for all the missing bass on …And Justice for All, and the solo is amazing. Criminally underrated!

Stone Dead Forever (Motörhead)
Too Late Too Late (Motörhead)
The More I See (Discharge)
