Best Songs From Opeth's Blackwater Park
Its progression is really unsettling. It starts with a simple, cold, and loud guitar bass, then goes on to tell a rather twisted, old story with terrifying details. That's why I consider it the best song on the album.
Obviously, this is the best.
There's something wrong with you if you don't like the kickass riffs.
It starts off brutal, then the rest is very peaceful.
Too low. It should be ahead of Harvest and The Leper Affinity. The clean vocals are outstanding - probably the best on the album. The guitars bring such an eerie, Gothic vibe, with a surprisingly uplifting aftertaste.
Surprised this isn't #1.
Awesome song. The riffs are awesome, but they can't top Blackwater Park. A great intro to a great album.
A memorable ballad with beautiful melodies.
Such a simple and beautiful intro/outro. It completely contrasts the brutal death metal roots of the album, yet it never feels out of place. Gorgeous.
Probably the most memorable climax I've ever heard. It's likely one of Opeth's most unconsciously known songs, and it's beautiful.
It's funny because even though it's last on the list, it's still a masterpiece. Blackwater Park is one of the best albums ever.
It doesn't deserve last place. It deserves at least 4th or 5th place.
Amazing and very underrated.
Yeah, it isn't simply the lowest because it's a short instrumental. It's still very nice and basically serves as a prelude to the song Blackwater Park. Honestly, the album feels like one long masterpiece of a song.
