Best Songs on Queens of the Stone Age's "Villains"

The Top Ten
Villains of Circumstance

After carefully listening to every track on this album, I realized that "Villains of Circumstance" is the only purely amazing composition from a melodic perspective. Every other track pales in comparison. Keeping lyrics aside, the melody behind this song alone elevates the rest of this otherwise mediocre album. It is strongly reminiscent of the better Queens of the Stone Age tracks from prior installments.

This track holds a powerful significance due to its compelling melody, which transcends the rest of the album, providing a musical climax. It has a defining background tone that anchors the album's context. This is the definitive song on the otherwise forgettable set of tracks offered on Villains. It features a dark crescendo unlike any other and mesmerizingly captures every note in the composition. This song is a reflection of what Queens of the Stone Age is all about. Hands down, it's the best song on the album.

The Way You Used to Do

This track has a swing and blues dance style with a nice oldies feel, but it also incorporates new effects and high-quality sound! It's a great track overall. Although it may not be as amazing as "Villains of Circumstance," it holds its own place on the album.

This is one of the best tracks, along with Un-Reborn Again and Feet Don't Fail Me.

Domesticated Animals

"Domesticated Animals" is a melodic track with the absolute best intro and most impactful rhythm throughout. The intro alone is an amazing build-up from the previous track, and that crash perfectly delves into the song, delivering a feeling unlike any other. This is likely the second-best track on the album, second only to the greatness of "Villains of Circumstance."

The Evil Has Landed
Feet Don't Fail Me
Un-Reborn Again
Head Like a Haunted House

Evil Has Landed was number one already, so I voted for this. When I first listened to Villains, every song was disappointing except for this one. It was awesome to see this song live in Philly! It was my first time seeing it live.
