Most Hated Asian Countries

They're always making up their original history and accusing Japan for what Japan didn't do. Of course Japan did unfavorable things during WWII, which Japan has admitted and deeply regretted, however why should it apology for more than what it really did? South Korean people are all brainwashed by their government into believing anything miserable about their country is all attributable to Japan. The government had or still has hidden the fact from its people that it has already received a tremendous amount of money for war compensation from Japan, which it used up for building its financial foundation after the war. The alleged comfort women should ask their own government to distribute that money. They should know that they have been deceived by their own government regarding this issue.

As a Japanese, I like Korean people and culture. All of my Korean friends are really nice to me. So when I went to Seoul for vacation, I met my Korean friends, looked at the magnificent temples, had some delicious Bulgogi, and just enjoyed walking down some neighbourhoods. I had a great time.

However, I really dislike their government who teach students to hate us from about elementary school. If they're a democracy, why shall they teach kids the "right" way to think? This totalitarianism isn't any worse than North Korea. Japan has apologised for the past not just once, but several times! Besides, the government is being such a hypocrite: they slaughtered millions of Vietnamese during the Vietnam War.

But don't misjudge me. I don't hate the entire nation. But I hope relations in East Asia get better.

I visited South Korea for 10 days and I have to say I was blown away but the rudeness of the people. I am a white westerner and most people either scowled at me, ignored me or were downright rude to me. Was very odd. In restaurants and cafes they would just ignore me. The plastic surgery obsession is beyond belief there. Looks are everything. If anything they may be the most shallow people on earth. Everywhere you go there are media images of perfect looking people and men with makeup on. Every 3rd shop is skin care. They all want to look like anime characters and go to such extreme as having their naturally wide jawbones shaven down. I like Kpop, but from what I've seen from the 2002 World Cup and 2014 Asian Games that South Korea hosted, all the games were fixed. For the Asian Games, the soccer match Korea vs Thailand, they cheated. Of corse the Thai soccer team is not as good as the Korean's, however, the Korean players would tripped the Thai players or they even touch the ball with their hands, the judge did nothing. For the boxing match Korea vs Mongolia and Korea vs India, the Korean players obviously wasn't as good as their opponents. They would missed and punch aimlessly, while the opponent beat them up badly. But the Koreans won. Seriously, have a better sportsmanship and stop cheating.

Whoever voted South Korea over this stupid, horrific communist dictatorship that is only run by the leader is absurd. Sure, they have a teensy tiny point with their nearly non-existent "hatred" between SK and Japan, but NK has propaganda against not only those 2, but also basically every NATO country all because Kim Jong Un said so. Seriously? I believe that this nation is more similar to a terrorist group than any other country. Heck, they care more about nuclear weapons than the actual well-care of the nation. South Korea is only here because of people who only care about the past. Whatever, I'm done ranting about this horrid "nation" called North Korea.

Honestly, from stories from what I've been told, NK sucks, you are basically starving while the NK government gives you a small monthly pay which you can only buy a pound of rice with from that amount of money. The only way your gonna survive in North Korea are for those who are loyal to Kim Jung Un. From also what I've heard, if your loyal you are to be givin internet access and be given more food. They way they treat you in prison is awful, they have three generations of your family stuck in prison and constantly beat you up while having you chained, I bless the prison inmates that have escaped prison and exited NK to tell their stories. What is wrong with you guys? Are you really all living in the past? Everything I could read here is which country hates and votes which country. And why? Because of things in the past. I'm shocked that North Korea isn't number one but South Korea like what? I'm a Chinese myself, with such a complex history and stand out government, crap that happens today in China is not Chinese people's fault. Things about bad manners, spiting and stare (not sure about stare though, country that doesn't have much immigrants has things like this happen), we Chinese don't like it either. But simply put, us peasant people (majority of us Chinese) were struggling with simply survival for almost 2 centuries, when there's no foreign nations try to kill us, our own people will try to kill each other other nothing. With history like this, people become selfish, and they told their kids to do the same, because that's how you survive.

They don't bother to respect others, yet demands respect for themselves. No moral, ethic, humanity and sanity too. Stupidest is that they want everything in the world to be theirs. Nobody believes their pity propagandas but they still pathetically attempt to lie. My uncle was killed by Chinese people in very cruel way on his own country's soil. He was first beaten by sticks and then dragged by a jeep on land and lastly was gone over by the jeep several times. In their propaganda-full films, they talk about morals and pride, which they don't have at all. Five of them armed with sticks were what demanded to kill my poor uncle. I'm Chinese, and I'm not trying to offend my own family (who's also Chinese), but I do agree that the Chinese do rude stuff. According to YouTube/my experiences:

-They let their kids poop and pee in public where everyone else can see them. (We don't do this)
-They change their kids' diapers in public. I've seen this LOTS of times. More commonly at Chinatown restaurants and during family gatherings
-They go crazy for discounts. I saw this at a grocery store once
-They go crazy for free stuff. I saw this at a mall once.
-They waste food at the buffet (we don't)
-They spit everywhere. My dad constantly spits and it's disgusting!
-They talk so loud. If you give them wine or beer, they'll SCREAM like they're having arguments with everyone else. My relatives constantly do this during family gatherings, especially all the men and my dad.

It's ironic how all the comments on the other countries here on this list say nothing about the people of that country (all of the top rated comments at least) but the top rated comments against China all have something negative to say about the people. I normally try to avoid posting on things about China and what people think of it, but the amount of hate and ignorance towards the people of China on this list is really unacceptable. All of the comments about China on this list are filled with ad hominems and sweeping generalizations against the Chinese people. Just because certain Chinese people can act indecently does not mean that the entire populace of China acts a certain way. I understand that most people commenting here have a racial prejudice against China, but simply providing a one-sided argument about how horrible China is will only antagonize those you are trying to persuade to hate China by proving how biased you really are.

Japan should not be here. I visited Japan and everyone was so nice, helpful and friendly to me and my friends even though we were foreigners. I even stayed with a host family and they all treat me with such care and kindness. Most Japanese I met are very polite people. They may come across as cold and aloof due to their reserved nature. But my friend chatted with this old Japanese lady. She eagerly replied and even have her a gift the next day. My friend even lost his phone in the train but the police station contacted him a few hours later and returned his phone back to him.

I didn't vote for Japan, but I'm commenting anyway to dispel some misconceptions. Japanese people have a wonderful sense of community and are very kind once you get to know them. Their quiet ways might intimidate some people- but in all honesty, they're intimidated by you. They want to talk, but they're afraid of sounding foolish because of their limited English/foreign language capacity (or so, according to my full Japanese friends). They're fascinated by foreigners but may come off as aloof or cold because of their mannerisms. Japanese people are very reserved. This isn't the country where strangers sit next to each other on trains and strike up conversations, but if they see a stranger- foreigner or Japanese- in need of help, they will assist immediately (I heard in the news that after a child fell onto the train tracks, two regular business men immediately leapt in to help her). Can't imagine Japan isn't the most hated country. I hate China too, but I hate Japan much more. I like most Japanese people I know, most of them are friendly. But their government keeps denying what they've done to the world during WWII, especially to other Asian countries, and frequently try to educate their new generation with only the bright side of their history. While they apologized for WWII, they also give their high respect to those crimer of WWII, that's why other Asian people hate the Japnese government, because what they are doing is telling others: Yes, I'm sorry for hurting you during the war, but I'm proud of myself, I going to do it again if there's a chance.

I'm from India and yes I do have a lot of things about my country which I hate. First of all, they judge others by caste, religion and in fact, skin tone. I'm black and I've been discriminate against for my skin tone. There were people who used to tease for being black. In my school, most of the boys likes girls with light skin tone. Most of them think Hindus are superior, there is a stereotype that higher caste are better than lower caste. Another thing many of them are homophobic, it's like in my society ( including my friends ) think that gay, lesbian or bisexuality are sort of crime or 'unnatural'. The rude behaviour of the people! I think most of the problems with this country is due to the government (besides the gulf syndrome where every rich person feels the need to flaunt in every way). I am a daughter of Vietnamese immigrants, and I don't think that Vietnam is bad. Sure, there are a lot of theives, but hey, every country has their own pros and cons. So in my side, Vietnam is innocent and should be at the bottom of this list. Indonesia is the most welcome country for foreigners.
In fact, many Indonesian idolize foreigners, I.E. Japanese, Indian (refers to a country in south Asia) due too many Bollywood movies in this country, and off course white people (the most beautiful creatures in Indonesian's mind) due to Hollywood movies and American or European bands influence.
This is also third largest democracy country and the economic growth is fantastic, a good place for invest your money, and everything here is cheap.
What else do you expect from this country? Good place, many beautiful islands (if you love diving or surfing this place is one of the best), and good for business too.

Their people have anger problems. Always try to pick a fight. Stagnant mind. Pickpockets are everywhere in the streets of Jakarta and Surabaya. Over proud with their histories which sadly meaningless to what they are today. They might have great sound of histories but the way they behave are not suppose reflected to their "great" history. Under the skin they share the same traits as their Indonesian counterparts -- the same stupid, rude and ignorant bastards at the core. They love to mock and laugh at you but they get easily offended and angered. It's already part of their culture. They chase your money and will rip you off once they get the chance to.

Thailand is a country built entirely on lies from its corrupt upper levels right down to its fake smiles. Thai people hate foreigners, especially black and Middle Eastern people and they only pretend to like white people so they can get their money. They genuinely believe that Thailand is the center of the universe and most of them know very little about the world outside their borders. They are ok with foreigners coming and spending money as long as they go home after but they don't want foreigners living there and seeing it for what it really is. Theyll blatently lie to your face and in the end of any altercation, they will gang up on foreigner like cowards and he will be the loser even if he was actually right.

They're rude, sensitive, and hypocrite. Most of them treat Caucasians as if they're some kind of divine, superior beings descended from heaven, whereas black people and Asian people (Especially South East Asians) are treated like skunks. In a tourism brochure it even says "Thai loves children, especially the ones with blonde hair and blue eyes". They also treat children poorly, pretending being nice to the adults because they have the money. Land of Smiles? More like Land of Fake Smiles.

I worked in Thailand for three years. I'm not being racist and I admit that my country is no better as well. I am a Filipino and currently taking up MSc in Neuroscience and Molecular Genetics. I have also earned a lot of certificates and awards titles yet I decided to become a lecturer. I'm aware that my IQ is just average and my English is not as good as the standard English of the natives. I try to understand and accept the culture of the land as well as its people because I know that not everyone is bad. I love my boss, she is the most open-minded, kind-hearted, most understanding person I have ever met. So even if I wasn't paid as much as I should have, seeing I have more qualifications than others and that I can choose a different career path that pays me better, I don't care that much. What I'm after is the work experience in this new career and because my boss is the best person (who is a Thai) I have ever met in here Thailand.

I'm Thai and reading all these comments about Thailand and other Asian countries, well every country has a good and bad side to it, but some of you might find only the bad side of it, well I respect your opinion. I say bad comments about my country sometime but I was born there its where I came from. You might think we fake our smiles and lies well yeah maybe we do. Not only us though I don't really know sometime I have to fake my smile but most of the time I know that I'm not. Lots of Thai people have gone through heaps of things but I wouldn't really know much anyway since I live most of my life somewhere far away from home well I don't kmow what else I will say I don't think a 14 year old girl can think for this long. A country you have to abide by your evil grand parents' rules. From outside mostly seems so great..but nothing's great - a made believe country...the Asian Israel (Rulers). People are warm and always seem to complain and share about their ministers and law makers every time people visit the country. Majority Chinese there wishing endlessly why they were not born Caucasian! Bought sportmen and sportwomen from anywhere around the world in hoping to get gold medals for international games...Owwhh, food wise are mostly claimed theirs but taste and methods of preparation are mostly copied from Thailand, Malaysia and Brunei...copy everything and claim its yours...Get wrecked!

Wow, I can see here majority here are Filipinos. Are you just jealous? And to those haters, you're are talking about mainly racism, but can you find a country that is racism- free? I agree that money is something that is very highly valued in society, but just because of that you complain so much(I'm saying this to Singaporeans). You don't realise how blessed you are,complaining and complaining. You don't see North Korea, how the people don't even get a chance to study, yet YOU here in Singapore complain about education, strict laws and etc.Have you stopped to think why we have all this?

Very bad experience every time I have to travel to Singapore. Why are the Chinese Singaporeans so full of hatred? Why are the Chinese so racist? The Indian Singaporeans and Malay Singaporeans are very welcoming and kind. The Chinese in Malaysia aren't even as racist as the Singaporeans. And from my own personal experience, it seems like most of the Chinese cab drivers in Singapore seems to be on edge, and at the brink of insanity.

A robot country. Interracial Marriages are encouraged. Everything imports including humans & natives. No native language at all. Caucasian are number 1. Many Frenchs who look down on Chinese assume they are from China. Indian Talents are very outspoken. Malay nationals comes from Malaysia, invest property in their mainland and settle here for the exchange rate.

They always act like they are better than anyone, have a very big ego. Living with them around is the worst, rude, stupid, lazy, agressive, playing loud sucked music with doors always opened to showed people how cool their music is. to be honest I have never had problem with russian people, but so many with people from Kazakhstan. (No racist here)

I personally would advice all the other countries who are willing to help Sri Lanka to refrain from assisting them further onwards since country itself is filled with thick headed narrow minded locals who have no idea of whats currently happening all around them. The middle class and the rich class citizens are treated very cruelly whereas normal decent English students are indiscriminated for their favourable behaviours. The next generation of Sri Lanka has been taught to obtain maximum benifits regardless of the existence of these resources which are misunderstandingly provided to them by foreign nations. They prefer to topple down those have been worth for them using them. Rascism does also have a prominent place in Sri Lanka up to a certain extent. This country is by far most the filthiest and the most disgusting destination for a typical human being. Humanity has been failed by these ignorant people of Sri Lanka.

A very beautiful country with lots of natural resources...as every country has up and downs it is too have many but still people are willing to help each other and the education level in Sri Lanka is too high. Love that small country.
