Best Nickelodeon Shows of 2017

The Top Ten Best Nickelodeon Shows of 2017

1 The Loud House The Loud House is an American animated television series created by Chris Savino for Nickelodeon. The series revolves around the chaotic suburban everyday life of a boy named Lincoln Loud and his ten sisters, to which he survives as the middle child and only son in a large family of eleven children. more.

I'm 17 years old and I don't really watch cartoons on kids channels anymore, but The Loud House is definitely one of the few exceptions (along with Star vs. The Forces of Evil on Disney ). I love watching The Loud House because it has a feel to shows I used to watch on Cartoon Network like Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends (the creator of the Loud House used to work on those shows). Watching Lincoln interact with his 10 sisters and other characters are a lot of fun to watch. Also, the animation looks amazing and has a nice comic strip look to it, as well as the storylines, voice acting, references to other Nicktoons like SpongeBob and Jimmy Neutron, and humor. While there is a lot of toilet humor, it doesn't feel as obnoxious and gross as other Nicktoons over the past decade like Fanboy & Chum Chum, Sanjay & Craig, and Breadwinners. Overall, The Loud House is a nice breath of fresh air for Nickelodeon. The channel has been stuck on SpongeBob for years now, and ...more - Disneykid00

I know this show has a really bad reputation on this site, so I hope I don't get hated on. In fact, I purposefully put all the other cartoons ahead of this. It may have toilet humor and bad episodes such as Brawl in the Family, but its an original and creative cartoon in its own right.

I'm 15 years old and I really enjoy this show... I first found it when I was babysitting my cousin, and it was the only cartoon on. The thing I love about this show is that it reminds me of some of the older Nickelodeon and although it has some moments where I want to groan and roll my eyes, it's usually genuinely funny. Whenever I watch it I feel like I'm in 4th grade again and just got back from elementary school, because this is definitely the show I would've put on.

The Loud House is the best animated series for Nickelodeon because I like the way that Chris Savino created it for the first time ever since he met Grey DeLisle The Voice Of Lola Loud

2 SpongeBob SquarePants SpongeBob SquarePants is an American animated television series created by marine biologist and animator the late Stephen Hillenburg for Nickelodeon. SpongeBob is currently the most popular show on Nickelodeon, as well as the longest running show, running for 20 years, and is beginning its 12th season. more.

Of course. It's the networks flagship program. Plus it has recovered from seasonal rot. The krabby patty special was awesome, plus all the post-sequel episodes are great except for maybe Life Insurance and Krusty Katering but that was about it.

This is just AWESOME. I know, I know...Seasons 5 to 9 suck but the new season 10 and 11 are bringing back the gold, stealing it from Loud House in the 2017 Kids Choice Awards. People say Loud House is now the best cartoon on Nick but the new, current episodes have a recurring theme of baldness and "extra toes" and stupidity. Sure SpongeBob is kind of dumb but that's point of the show, to make you laugh. Think of Pizza Delivery! SpongeBob and the pioneer stuff made you laugh. And guess what? That's what I'm talking about!

The mid-to-late 2010s is an improving year for Nickelodeon. Usually, when it comes to T.V. networks, Nickelodeon is one of the worst besides TLC, Disney Channel and etc due to negative teen stereotypes, ways of pandering towards children, juvenile humor and mean-spiritedness.

I give SpongeBob SquarePants a B (I give seasons 6-9 a D).
I give Bunsen Is a Beast a B+.
I give Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles a C+.
I give Hunter Street a B+.
I give Harvey Beaks a B-.
I give Ride a D-.
I give The Loud House a B.
I have not seen Paradise Run, but I guess it is a weaker version of Figure It Out (original series).
Despite the sharp animation, Pinky Malinky seems too silly.
I give Welcome to the Wayne a D.

Nick is now making an Invader Zim movie!

3 Alvinnn!! and the Chipmunks

I feel like Nickelodeon only made this show to cash in on the already ruined Alvin and the Chipmunks franchise. WHY DOES NICKELODEON ALWAYS FEEL THE NEED TO CASH IN ON POPULAR MOVIES? Just because a movie makes a lot of money doesn't always mean it's going to be good. The Live-Action Alvin and the Chipmunks movies were unbearable to sit through (Especially the 3rd movie), and while this show is more true to the 1980s cartoon, plays the "We're The Chipmunks" theme song, and is better than the movies, it's still pretty bad. The chipmunk voices are still really annoying to listen to, and the CG looks terrible. The chipmunks look more like humans than actual chipmunks. This show would be a lot better if it was in 2D animation and the voice acting wasn't so annoying to listen to. - Disneykid00

It's very funny

This show stinks. 1/10 Spongebob is like 10,000,000 times better because this show just appeals to kids, while Spongebob appeals to all age groups in the family.

I really like this show cause there is humor.

4 Welcome to the Wayne

This show just came out, and it's already incredibly underrated. Everyone dismisses it as "A shameless Gravity Falls rip off," and, albeit it does have some Gravity Falls inspired elements, it's its own cartoon. The mystery/monster element is present, and done pretty well. The characters, although a bit flat, are hilarious and have evident chemistry. Plus, there are some REALLY funny one-liners mixed in with the action and mystery, and it's a good balance. If you have the time, please check this show out. Knowing Nickelodeon, this show isn't going to last that long (or last so long, the novelty wears off), so enjoy it while it lasts. I recommend this to anyone who misses Gravity Falls, like I do.

I love spongebob but this show is better than modern spongebob

CRUCIALLY underrated - growlbunny

Meh its okay but gravity falls is better

5 Henry Danger Henry Danger is an American superhero sitcom television series airing on Nickelodeon. The series was created by Dan Schneider and Dana Olsen. The series revolves around a 13-year-old boy who becomes the sidekick of a local superhero. On March 2, 2017, Nickelodeon announced that a new animated series, more.

The only danger in this show is the danger of the audience getting bored until they kill themselves. - Extractinator04

Sometimes I have to sit through an episode of this if I want to watch Hunter Street. This show gives me headaches.

I actually enjoy this show

Favorite show ever

6 Bunsen is a Beast Busen is a Beast is created by Fairly Odd Parents creator Butch Hartman. The show tells about a monster named Bunsen who goes to a human school and has many adventures.

Maybe I'm being too generous by putting this at the top spot, but whatever. Anyway, the show promotes diversity and has a unique art style for a Butch Hartman cartoon. According to the Nick Podcast, it has professional voice acting and tons of effort put into it. My favorite episode is when they had a crossover with The Fairly OddParents. It may not have a lot of episodes, but pretty soon it will air between the Nick Jr. block and the sitcom block along with Spongebob and Loud House, which is super great because that chunk of airtime did not have much diversity. It used to have Alvin and the Chipmunks but it was soon dropped. Maybe TMNT will air in that chunk of time too!

I might do a list of Best Disney Channel Shows of 2017. I'm not going to do a Cartoon Network one because Cartoon Network doesn't have that much good content nowadays.

I could've sworn that a user that made this list would make a list of "Best Disney Channel Shows of 2017"! - The Ultimate Daredevil, who mostly loves Bunsen Is a Beast

The way people are drawn just looks so ugly to me

7 The Thundermans The Thundermans is an American tween sitcom created by Jed Springarn. The show first aired in 2013. This show is about a family of superheroes who have adjusted to living a normal suburban life. On July 27, 2017, Nickelodeon released a statement to J-14, stating that the series has wrapped production more.

I've been watching this show for years! The humor and adventure of these undercover superheroes never gets old!

Great show for superhero fans.

Who put this here this is the worst show ever whoever like it is an idiot this show is a rip off to incredibles

Best show ever! Don't like it? How do you sleep at night?

8 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is an American 3D rendered computer animated television series based on the fictional superhero team. It aired on Nickelodeon in the United States from September 29, 2012 to November 12, 2017.

Okay, the show may have way too much merchandise, but it is still great and has action and a story arc, which most Nicktoons today don't. I'm glad that Nickelodeon bought this series. Plus its getting a spinoff in 2018.

One of the few good Nicktoons that are still running today. I've been watching it ever since I was a kid, and I remember watching the old cartoons and reading the comics too. - TwilightKitsune

This is one of my favorite shows of all time! I just got back into watching it, and now I'm like "Why did I ever stop watching this? " This should be number one, or at least number two (Spongebob's tough to beat).

It's honestly my favorite incarnation. The one from the 80's is cute, but super dated, the 2003 one had lots of good storylines, but I never saw much, and the Michael Bay films are cringeworthy. I really like the stories and characters, and even if season finales are kind of predictable sometimes, they're usually really good. Also, this incarnation has the best Karai. She's just awesome and perfectly written. - Elric-san

9 Harvey Beaks Harvey Beaks is an American animated television series created by C.H. Greenblatt for Nickelodeon. Originally announced to premiere on March 29, 2015, the series instead premiered on March 28, 2015 following the 2015 Kids' Choice Awards.

Harvey is a character who is strong by having a good nature, Fee is a character who is rude, impulsive and reckless but she remains likeable and foo is a character who serves as a comic relief but he can be taken seriously. It was A MISTAKE for Nick to cancel this show after its second season this show really deserved a third season.

I really wish Nickelodeon treated this show better and gave it the attention it deserves. Harvey Beaks was a show that excelled a lot in animation and writing. I grew up loving Chowder when I was in elementary school, and Harvey Beaks reminds me a lot of that show with it's unique environment, refreshing animation, and fantastic writing. I would've loved to see this show get the 3rd season it deserved, because it had a lot more potential than all those cheesy Teen Sitcoms and that dumb Alvin and the Chipmunks reboot Nickelodeon seems to love. - Disneykid00

One of the real stars of modern Nickelodeon. Likeable characters, most things about this are perfect. This should be at least number 3. - SoSheolH

Harvey Beaks is a great show where most episodes have life lessons, its too its ending but its comedy shall LIVE ON!, WHO'S WITH ME!?

10 Game Shakers Game Shakers is an American television sitcom created by Dan Schneider that premiered on Nickelodeon on September 12, 2015. The series revolves around two seventh graders named Babe and Kenzie who start the multi-million-dollar title gaming company and who take on rap superstar Double G as their business more.

This show is dumb.

This is the best show on Nickelodeon

It's going downhill but I still really like it.

This show makes me want to die along with Henry danger

The Contenders

11 Paradise Run

Sounds like Super Mario Run in heaven. - Extractinator04

This show is a game show, and it is really cool and it was better than other live action shows such as Crashletes. At least Crashletes, Rank the Prank, and Jagger Eaton's Mega Life have not been announced at Nickelodeon's upfront, making them cancelled. Shame that Paradise Run got shafted to NickSports, but luckily it was renewed for a season 3.

It could do better - 23windomt

12 Mysticons Mysticons is an American-Canadian action-magical girl animated television series that premiered on August 28, 2017. The show is a collaboration between companies Nelvana Limited, Playmates Toys, and The Topps Company.

LMFAO it got moved to Nicktoons LOL - 23windomt

My sister is OBSESSED with this show. and shes only 5 years old

Its horrid

13 Hunter Street

It gives me a House of Anubis vibe. Its not a New Girl At School drama, and its not a sitcom with overplayed laugh tracks, but it's a show about mysteries and 5 foster children named Max, Anika, Tess, Daniel and Sal who are trying to find their missing parents. Sal is my favorite because is kind of like me. Unlike other shows on Nickelodeon, the family genuinely loves each other. I keep watching every weekday. Too bad that it will get taken off the air after its first season, like all the other story arc shows. Nick, please renew this for a season 2!

Even though this is not my favorite show of all time, I can nevertheless feel any fun factor with this. I am glad that the family the protagonists of Hunter Street genuinely love each other, but aren't the protagonists' parents adoptive? Also, if Hunter Street's main story is meant to be about kids finding their adoptive parents, then there seems to be solely one point in having a first season.

Its funny and there is a lot of mysteries

Nick just renewed this for a season 2!

14 I Am Frankie

Excellent show, great acting, great clever plot with some hilarious characters

Umm I've never heard of this show - FroYolo

I don't know why people dislike this so much... - HufflepuffGeekGirl

More like I Am Cranky.

15 Pinky Malinky

My 4th favourite show (3rd:Invader Zim. 2nd: the epic tales of captain under pants. 1st: SpongeBob SquarePants

I know this show isn't out yet, but its coming on April 15. I know this seems similar to Gumball, but it looks really good. It also apparently promotes diversity, I watched a Nick Animation YouTube video and there were these ladies talking about the creation of the show, and one of them said she was proud to work on the show because one of the characters is a black mom, just like her.

Looks like Penises: The Show. - Extractinator04

Oops, my bad. This is actually coming in early 2018.

16 Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn is an American television sitcom produced by Nickelodeon. The series focuses on 10-year-old, later 11-year-old quadruplets Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn Harper. They have nothing in common and often fight, but they must work together to solve everyday situations.

This show is terrible. I can tell whats gonna happen 1 minute into the episode, and what I predict really happens. Its that predictable.

This show is so corny and predictable.

Dumbest show - FroYolo

17 School of Rock School of Rock is an American musical live-action sitcom which premiered March 12, 2016 on Nickelodeon. The series, based on the 2003 film of the same name, stars Breanna Yde, Ricardo Hurtado, Jade Pettyjohn, Lance Lim, Aidan Miner, Tony Cavalero, and Jama Williamson. On November 15, 2017, Nickelodeon more.

Eh its not that bad but its not as good as spongebob and loud house.

Good news everyone! Nickelodeon just cancelled this show along with Nicky Ricky Dicky and Dawn! New episodes will air through 2018, though. Thundermans is ending next year too. Now we just have to get rid of Henry Danger & Game Shakers, but that probably won't happen anytime soon.

I no joke binge watched both seasons in a single day...please no judgement

I voted because Spongebob is from 1999. When I knew this is coming, I thought it's stupid and wasn't interested until inadventerly watching an episode. Than, I get it. THIS IS THE BEST 2017 SHOW!

18 Ride

It's not the greatest Nickelodeon show ever but it wasn't the worse either. I can't stand shows like Make It Pop, and this was way better than that. Even though the show shows teen rebellion and has some of the other problems as other Nickelodeon one-month series. Even so, the show was decent. Its second season aired in Canada, so maybe it will air soon here in the United States.

Ride on my butt. - Extractinator04

Ride is brilliant

"Ride on my butt." LOL. Agreed. Ride could be much more three-dimensional. I feel like Ride promotes some bestiality. - The Ultimate Daredevil to Extractinator04

19 The Fairly OddParents The Fairly OddParents is an American animated television series created by Butch Hartman for Nickelodeon.

Unfortunately, no. As of 2017, the show has officially gotten eaten by a shark in its attempt to jump said shark after introducing far too many new characters in an attempt to keep The Fairly OddParents relevant. Now I admire Butch Hartman's work and all, but after the debut of Chloe, not only did it make the show EVEN WORSE than before in terms of quality as it took attention away from Timmy and his fairies to focus solely on Chloe more, but it also led to the show getting sent to Nicktoons, where it will most likely get cancelled since it will probably get low ratings as Nicktoons is essentially a dumping place for Nickelodeon animated series to die out. - ModernSpongeBobSucks

NO, it's awful now. What is it doing here? - DCfnaf

At least anybody has ever heard of this one. - Extractinator04

Oh hell no this show is garbage now

20 Victorious Victorious is an American sitcom created by Dan Schneider that originally aired on Nickelodeon from March 27, 2010 through February 2, 2013 . The series revolves around aspiring singer Tori Vega, a teenager who attends a performing arts high school called Hollywood Arts High School, after taking her more.

This ended in 2013 guys!

They have comedy and talent

Ariana Grande is terrible, even for a prissy-ass opinion-nazi. But Victorius does not exist, not even with reruns?

Just another boring show for teenagers... There's a laugh track after every sentence... - PeeledBanana

21 Rank the Prank

This is a stupid knock-off of Walk the Prank

It makes Prank Stars look like a smart, promising show.

Are you kidding me?! The pranks are so cringy and lame and is an obvious rip-off of "Walk the Prank."

Ripoff of walk the prank - Jay12

22 Motu Patlu

This is some Indian show...

What the heck is this

Get out of here show

23 Jojo Siwa My World

I feel like this is going to be a good show. I am just wondering if Jojo Siwa is going to end up like Sofia Grace and Rosie. Sofia Grace and Rosie were really popular that starred in Nickelodeon and now you barely here from them anymore. I am just wondering if that's going to happen to Jojo Siwa.

Welp, I have terrible news... it's official... Jojo Siwa DID end up like Sophia Grace and Rosie even more with this show and Nickelodeon in general! She was normally too hard to get over, since in the past she made a mean-spirited song against those that dislike her and called someone ugly (let's be thankful that that someone was Jacob Sartorius). 8O

This isn't even a show. - 23windomt

Love Jojo so much, this should be the order 1. Jojo my world 2. NRDD 3. School of Rock

24 Dragon Ball Z Kai

This isn't on nickelodeon nor cartoon network its on toonami

25 Bubble Guppies

This show ended last year, but Nick Jr. is still airing reruns of it for some reason.

A very good show for young children, and something that is bearable to watch outside of the main demographic. - SoSheolH

26 Talia in the Kitchen Talia in the Kitchen is an American telenovela-formatted teen sitcom that premiered on Nickelodeon on July 6, 2015. It was an adaptation of the Nickelodeon Latin American telenovela, Toni, la Chef, and was created by Mariela Romero & Catharina Ledeboer, the same writers who made Every Witch Way & WITS more.

Ended in 2015.

This show is absolute garbage and the only cooking was the girl cooking up some drama! And believe me the world has way more drama shows than any thing else! 👎🏻

27 iCarly iCarly is an American teen sitcom that ran on Nickelodeon from September 8, 2007 until November 23, 2012. The series, created by Dan Schneider, focuses on teenager Carly Shay, who creates her own web show called iCarly with her best friends Sam Puckett and Freddie Benson.

One of the best for sure there are just a few bits I'm not sure on.

28 Wonder Pets Wonder Pets! is an American animated children's television series. It debuted March 3, 2006, on the Nick Jr. block of the Nickelodeon cable television network and Noggin (now Nick Jr.) on December 27, 2006.

And the last time I've watched this on nick was like 4 years ago - GrapeJuiceK

Odd baby show. - Extractinator04

29 The Other Kingdom The Other Kingdom is an American and a Canadian fantasy and teen sitcom that premiered on Nickelodeon on April 10, 2016. The series is produced by DHX Media, and created and executive produced by Thomas W. Lynch.

This show is cancelled

As for me this also amazing it should be replaced with what they call wonder pets. It's like the best fiction series ever

LMFAO it got cancelled. - 23windomt

30 Pig Goat Banana Cricket Pig Goat Banana Cricket is an American animated television series created by Dave Cooper and Johnny Ryan for Nickelodeon.

Isn't this show on Nicktoons now? I mean it's gonna get cancelled soon.

I miss this show so much. - 23windomt

31 Fanboy and Chum Chum Fanboy & Chum Chum is an American 3D CGI animated television series created by Eric Robles for Nickelodeon. It is based on Fanboy, an animated short created by Robles for Nicktoons and Frederator Studios, which was broadcast August 14, 2009 to July 12, 2014 on Random! Cartoons. The series was first more.

I miss this show. Made me laugh - 23windomt

32 Knight Squad

This show is good. I hope they do a Crossover with The Thundermans or Henry Danger. - 23windomt

This show is so interesting and probably the new best nickelodeon show

33 Every Witch Way Every Witch Way is an American telenovela-formatted teen sitcom that originally aired on Nickelodeon from January 1, 2014, to July 30, 2015. It is the American version of the Nickelodeon Latin American show Grachi.
34 Paw Patrol PAW Patrol is an Canadian animated television series created by Keith Chapman. It is produced by Spin Master Entertainment with animation provided by Guru Studio. In Canada, the series is primarily broadcast on TVOKids, which first ran previews of the show in August 2013. The series first aired on Nickelodeon more.
35 Pokémon XYZ

Pokemon is on Disney, which is one of the main reasons why I continuously say that Disney Channel and Cartoon Network are both a bit more tolerable than Nickelodeon. Nickelodeon never had a Pokemon show on its network even though it briefly had Digimon on its network. The other newcomer on this list is not only cancer, but like Breadwinners, it is one of the lowest-rated Nickelodeon shows (for its overuse of infantile toilet humor, zero-intelligence treatment towards its babyish demographic, powerless sound work and overly uncreative animation) that were cancelled in 2016. - The Ultimate Daredevil

36 Sanjay and Craig Sanjay and Craig is an American animated comedy television series that aired on Nickelodeon from May 25, 2013, to July 29, 2016, for three seasons and 60 episodes. The series is about a 12-year-old boy named Sanjay Patel who owns a talking pet snake named Craig.

Didn't they cancel this already. It got cancelled at July 31 2016.

Who put this here

I miss this show. - 23windomt

37 The Lion Guard The Lion Guard is an American animated television series developed by Ford Riley based on Disney's 1994 film "The Lion King". The series was first broadcast with a television movie titled "The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar" on Disney Channel on November 22, 2015 and began airing as a TV series on January more.

This is Disney Junior not Nickelodeon - 23windomt

It may be a kids show but man the animation, voice acting, and songs are spot stinking on.

38 Peppa Pig Peppa Pig is a British preschool animated television series directed and produced by Astley Baker Davies in association with Entertainment One, which originally aired on 31 May 2004. It went on a hiatus for just over two years before re-premiering on 14 February 2015.

I think this is a good show for children

39 Dora the Explorer Dora the Explorer (2000 - 2019) is an American preschool educational animated TV series created by Chris Gifford, Valerie Walsh, and Eric Weiner in which Dora goes on adventures with her friend, a monkey named Boots.
