Best Nickelodeon Shows of 2017

The Top Ten

1 The Loud House The Loud House The Loud House is an American animated television series created by Chris Savino for Nickelodeon. The series revolves around the chaotic suburban everyday life of a boy named Lincoln Loud and his ten sisters, to which he survives as the middle child and only son in a large family of eleven children. more.

I'm 17 years old and I don't really watch cartoons on kids channels anymore, but The Loud House is definitely one of the few exceptions (along with Star vs. The Forces of Evil on Disney ). I love watching The Loud House because it has a feel to shows I used to watch on Cartoon Network like Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends (the creator of the Loud House used to work on those shows). Watching Lincoln interact with his 10 sisters and other characters are a lot of fun to watch. Also, the animation looks amazing and has a nice comic strip look to it, as well as the storylines, voice acting, references to other Nicktoons like SpongeBob and Jimmy Neutron, and humor. While there is a lot of toilet humor, it doesn't feel as obnoxious and gross as other Nicktoons over the past decade like Fanboy & Chum Chum, Sanjay & Craig, and Breadwinners. Overall, The Loud House is a nice breath of fresh air for Nickelodeon. The channel has been stuck on SpongeBob for years now, and ...more - Disneykid00

I know this show has a really bad reputation on this site, so I hope I don't get hated on. In fact, I purposefully put all the other cartoons ahead of this. It may have toilet humor and bad episodes such as Brawl in the Family, but its an original and creative cartoon in its own right. - Cartoonfan202

I'm 15 years old and I really enjoy this show... I first found it when I was babysitting my cousin, and it was the only cartoon on. The thing I love about this show is that it reminds me of some of the older Nickelodeon and although it has some moments where I want to groan and roll my eyes, it's usually genuinely funny. Whenever I watch it I feel like I'm in 4th grade again and just got back from elementary school, because this is definitely the show I would've put on.

I love this show

2 SpongeBob SquarePants SpongeBob SquarePants SpongeBob SquarePants is an American animated television series created by marine biologist and animator Stephen Hillenburg for Nickelodeon. SpongeBob is currently the most popular show on Nickelodeon, as well as the longest running show, running for 18 years, and is beginning its 11th season. The show more.

Of course. It's the networks flagship program. Plus it has recovered from seasonal rot. The krabby patty special was awesome, plus all the post-sequel episodes are great except for maybe Life Insurance and Krusty Katering but that was about it. - Cartoonfan202

This is just AWESOME. I know, I know...Seasons 5 to 9 suck but the new season 10 and 11 are bringing back the gold, stealing it from Loud House in the 2017 Kids Choice Awards. People say Loud House is now the best cartoon on Nick but the new, current episodes have a recurring theme of baldness and "extra toes" and stupidity. Sure SpongeBob is kind of dumb but that's point of the show, to make you laugh. Think of Pizza Delivery! SpongeBob and the pioneer stuff made you laugh. And guess what? That's what I'm talking about!

Nick is now making an Invader Zim movie! - Cartoonfan202

My second favourite Cartoon after The Fairly Oddparents it's amazing.

3 Alvinnn!! and the Chipmunks Alvinnn!! and the Chipmunks

I feel like Nickelodeon only made this show to cash in on the already ruined Alvin and the Chipmunks franchise. WHY DOES NICKELODEON ALWAYS FEEL THE NEED TO CASH IN ON POPULAR MOVIES? Just because a movie makes a lot of money doesn't always mean it's going to be good. The Live-Action Alvin and the Chipmunks movies were unbearable to sit through (Especially the 3rd movie), and while this show is more true to the 1980s cartoon, plays the "We're The Chipmunks" theme song, and is better than the movies, it's still pretty bad. The chipmunk voices are still really annoying to listen to, and the CG looks terrible. The chipmunks look more like humans than actual chipmunks. This show would be a lot better if it was in 2D animation and the voice acting wasn't so annoying to listen to. - Disneykid00

It's very funny

This show stinks. 1/10 Spongebob is like 10,000,000 times better because this show just appeals to kids, while Spongebob appeals to all age groups in the family.

I really like this show cause there is humor.

4 Bunsen is a Beast Bunsen is a Beast Busen is a Beast is created by Fairly Odd Parents creator Butch Hartman. The show tells about a monster named Bunsen who goes to a human school and has many adventures.

Maybe I'm being too generous by putting this at the top spot, but whatever. Anyway, the show promotes diversity and has a unique art style for a Butch Hartman cartoon. According to the Nick Podcast, it has professional voice acting and tons of effort put into it. My favorite episode is when they had a crossover with The Fairly OddParents. It may not have a lot of episodes, but pretty soon it will air between the Nick Jr. block and the sitcom block along with Spongebob and Loud House, which is super great because that chunk of airtime did not have much diversity. It used to have Alvin and the Chipmunks but it was soon dropped. Maybe TMNT will air in that chunk of time too! - Cartoonfan202

I might do a list of Best Disney Channel Shows of 2017. I'm not going to do a Cartoon Network one because Cartoon Network doesn't have that much good content nowadays. - Cartoonfan202

I could've sworn that a user that made this list would make a list of "Best Disney Channel Shows of 2017"! - The Ultimate Daredevil, who mostly loves Bunsen Is a Beast

This show just got sent to nicktoons - Spongehouse

5 Welcome to the Wayne Welcome to the Wayne

This show just came out, and it's already incredibly underrated. Everyone dismisses it as "A shameless Gravity Falls rip off," and, albeit it does have some Gravity Falls inspired elements, it's its own cartoon. The mystery/monster element is present, and done pretty well. The characters, although a bit flat, are hilarious and have evident chemistry. Plus, there are some REALLY funny one-liners mixed in with the action and mystery, and it's a good balance. If you have the time, please check this show out. Knowing Nickelodeon, this show isn't going to last that long (or last so long, the novelty wears off), so enjoy it while it lasts. I recommend this to anyone who misses Gravity Falls, like I do.

I love spongebob but this show is better than modern spongebob

CRUCIALLY underrated - growlbunny

Meh its okay but gravity falls is better

6 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Okay, the show may have way too much merchandise, but it is still great and has action and a story arc, which most Nicktoons today don't. I'm glad that Nickelodeon bought this series. Plus its getting a spinoff in 2018. - Cartoonfan202

One of the few good Nicktoons that are still running today. I've been watching it ever since I was a kid, and I remember watching the old cartoons and reading the comics too. - TwilightKitsune

This is one of my favorite shows of all time! I just got back into watching it, and now I'm like "Why did I ever stop watching this? " This should be number one, or at least number two (Spongebob's tough to beat).

What does it mean on no.5?!?
The only place for TMNT is number 1

7 Henry Danger Henry Danger Henry Danger is an American superhero sitcom television series airing on Nickelodeon. The series was created by Dan Schneider and Dana Olsen. The series revolves around a 13-year-old boy who becomes the sidekick of a local superhero. On March 2, 2017, Nickelodeon announced that a new animated series, more.

The only danger in this show is the danger of the audience getting bored until they kill themselves. - Extractinator04

Sometimes I have to sit through an episode of this if I want to watch Hunter Street. This show gives me headaches. - Cartoonfan202

I actually enjoy this show

I loveee Henry Danger it’s so lol - I don’t know why most of these shows on the list are toons?

8 Harvey Beaks Harvey Beaks Harvey Beaks is an American animated television series created by C.H. Greenblatt for Nickelodeon. Originally announced to premiere on March 29, 2015, the series instead premiered on March 28, 2015 following the 2015 Kids' Choice Awards.

Harvey is a character who is strong by having a good nature, Fee is a character who is rude, impulsive and reckless but she remains likeable and foo is a character who serves as a comic relief but he can be taken seriously. It was A MISTAKE for Nick to cancel this show after its second season this show really deserved a third season.

I really wish Nickelodeon treated this show better and gave it the attention it deserves. Harvey Beaks was a show that excelled a lot in animation and writing. I grew up loving Chowder when I was in elementary school, and Harvey Beaks reminds me a lot of that show with it's unique environment, refreshing animation, and fantastic writing. I would've loved to see this show get the 3rd season it deserved, because it had a lot more potential than all those cheesy Teen Sitcoms and that dumb Alvin and the Chipmunks reboot Nickelodeon seems to love. - Disneykid00

One of the real stars of modern Nickelodeon. Likeable characters, most things about this are perfect. This should be at least number 3. - SoSheolH

Watching The Loud House just makes me depressed that this show ended so soon. Adding insult to injury, the show was cancelled solely because it couldn't match SpongeBob and TLH's ratings! C.H. Greenblatt also seemed to imply that the Alvin and the Chipmunks reboot (also a moderate ratings success) had something to do with it.

9 Hunter Street Hunter Street

It gives me a House of Anubis vibe. Its not a New Girl At School drama, and its not a sitcom with overplayed laugh tracks, but it's a show about mysteries and 5 foster children named Max, Anika, Tess, Daniel and Sal who are trying to find their missing parents. Sal is my favorite because is kind of like me. Unlike other shows on Nickelodeon, the family genuinely loves each other. I keep watching every weekday. Too bad that it will get taken off the air after its first season, like all the other story arc shows. Nick, please renew this for a season 2! - Cartoonfan202

Hunter Street is a great show, but once the family solves the mission, there will be no point in making a season 2. - TopTenHaters

Even though this is not my favorite show of all time, I can nevertheless feel any fun factor with this. I am glad that the family the protagonists of Hunter Street genuinely love each other, but aren't the protagonists' parents adoptive? Also, if Hunter Street's main story is meant to be about kids finding their adoptive parents, then there seems to be solely one point in having a first season.

Its an okay show, but I feel a House of Anubis touch to this show. But nonetheless, its nice. - Catacorn

Best show I have ever seen

10 Paradise Run Paradise Run

Sounds like Super Mario Run in heaven. - Extractinator04

This show is a game show, and it is really cool and it was better than other live action shows such as Crashletes. At least Crashletes, Rank the Prank, and Jagger Eaton's Mega Life have not been announced at Nickelodeon's upfront, making them cancelled. Shame that Paradise Run got shafted to NickSports, but luckily it was renewed for a season 3. - Cartoonfan202

The Contenders

11 Ride Ride

It's not the greatest Nickelodeon show ever but it wasn't the worse either. I can't stand shows like Make It Pop, and this was way better than that. Even though the show shows teen rebellion and has some of the other problems as other Nickelodeon one-month series. Even so, the show was decent. Its second season aired in Canada, so maybe it will air soon here in the United States. - Cartoonfan202

Ride on my butt. - Extractinator04

Ride is brilliant

"Ride on my butt." LOL. Agreed. Ride could be much more three-dimensional. I feel like Ride promotes some bestiality. - The Ultimate Daredevil to Extractinator04

12 Pinky Malinky Pinky Malinky

I know this show isn't out yet, but its coming on April 15. I know this seems similar to Gumball, but it looks really good. It also apparently promotes diversity, I watched a Nick Animation YouTube video and there were these ladies talking about the creation of the show, and one of them said she was proud to work on the show because one of the characters is a black mom, just like her. - Cartoonfan202

Looks like Penises: The Show. - Extractinator04

Oops, my bad. This is actually coming in early 2018. - Cartoonfan202

Penis Malinky has great animation, but I am very skeptical about this show. It heavily borrows from Cartoon Network's The Amazing World of Gumball. It is also a mockumentary. You also get Lucas Grabeel and Nathan Kress, whose voices are a bit grating/tweeny-sounding. Also, Nickelodeon (the company that brought us these disgusting Dan Schneider coms in the 2010s, Regal Academy, Planet Sheen, Fanboy & Chum-Chum, The Last Airbender movie, the later Fred Figglehorn franchise, Kids Coice Awards and etc) is making this. I think because of the phallic references, this might be a little too inappropriate for its target demographic. It also feels pretty typical. Either way, this could exceed expectations.

13 The Thundermans The Thundermans The Thundermans is an American tween sitcom created by Jed Springarn. The show first aired in 2013 and is still running as of 2016. This show is about a family of superheroes who have adjusted to living a normal suburban life. On July 27, 2017, Nickelodeon released a statement to J-14, stating that more.

Well, the theme song is a rip-off of the Wizards of waverly place theme song. Also the thundermans apparently getting a movie because THIS managed to be the highest rated show on Prickelodeon. Yes, it even beat Spongebob AND Loud House. - Cartoonfan202

How?! Who actually watches Nick sitcoms? Especially ones that are Incredibles rip-offs. - Anonymousxcxc

I've been watching this show for years! The humor and adventure of these undercover superheroes never gets old!

Great show for superhero fans.

I miss the thundermans when they end

14 I Am Frankie I Am Frankie

This is made by the same people who brought us "classics" like Every Witch Way and Talia in the Kitchen. This show seems like a live action rip-off of My Life As a Teenage Robot. - Cartoonfan202

Umm I've never heard of this show - FroYolo

I don't know why people dislike this so much... - HufflepuffGeekGirl

Best film ever

16 Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn is an American television sitcom produced by Nickelodeon. The series focuses on 10-year-old, later 11-year-old quadruplets Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn Harper . They have nothing in common and often fight, but they must work together to solve everyday situations .

This show is terrible. I can tell whats gonna happen 1 minute into the episode, and what I predict really happens. Its that predictable.

This show is so corny and predictable. - Cartoonfan202

17 Game Shakers Game Shakers Game Shakers is an American television sitcom created by Dan Schneider that premiered on Nickelodeon on September 12, 2015. The series revolves around two seventh graders named Babe and Kenzie who start the multi-million-dollar title gaming company and who take on rap superstar Double G as their business more.

The Disney Brain was 90% right that Game Shakers sucked cock. The characters were executed as one-dimensional caricatures. There were some adults that made children uncomfortable on purpose. Dan Schneider made the humor Kel Mitchell has very weak. Game Shakers makes gamers feel a lot less insulted by Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything.

This show is dumb. - Cartoonfan202

Just like Henry Danger, this show is crap. - TopTenHaters

This is the best show on Nickelodeon

18 School of Rock School of Rock School of Rock is an American musical live-action sitcom which premiered March 12, 2016 on Nickelodeon. The series, based on the 2003 film of the same name, stars Breanna Yde, Ricardo Hurtado, Jade Pettyjohn, Lance Lim, Aidan Miner, Tony Cavalero, and Jama Williamson. On November 15, 2017, Nickelodeon more.

Eh its not that bad but its not as good as spongebob and loud house. - Cartoonfan202

Good news everyone! Nickelodeon just cancelled this show along with Nicky Ricky Dicky and Dawn! New episodes will air through 2018, though. Thundermans is ending next year too. Now we just have to get rid of Henry Danger & Game Shakers, but that probably won't happen anytime soon. - Cartoonfan202

I no joke binge watched both seasons in a single day...please no judgement

I voted because Spongebob is from 1999. When I knew this is coming, I thought it's stupid and wasn't interested until inadventerly watching an episode. Than, I get it. THIS IS THE BEST 2017 SHOW!

19 The Fairly OddParents The Fairly OddParents The Fairly OddParents is an American animated television series created by Butch Hartman for Nickelodeon.

Unfortunately, no. As of 2017, the show has officially gotten eaten by a shark in its attempt to jump said shark after introducing far too many new characters in an attempt to keep The Fairly OddParents relevant. Now I admire Butch Hartman's work and all, but after the debut of Chloe, not only did it make the show EVEN WORSE than before in terms of quality as it took attention away from Timmy and his fairies to focus solely on Chloe more, but it also led to the show getting sent to Nicktoons, where it will most likely get cancelled since it will probably get low ratings as Nicktoons is essentially a dumping place for Nickelodeon animated series to die out. - ModernSpongeBobSucks

OLD FairlyOdd parents was awesome. But after the episode where Poof was born, the show started to go downhill. Then after Chloe premiered, the show became trash. - TopTenHaters

NO, it's awful now. What is it doing here? - DCfnaf

I don't get the Poof/Foop/Chloe hate: none of them was actually bad. Sparky did it all.

The series revolves around aspiring singer Tori Vega, a teenager who attends a performing arts high school called Hollywood Arts High School, after taking her more.

This ended in 2013 guys! - Cartoonfan202

They have comedy and talent

Ariana Grande is terrible, even for a prissy-ass opinion-nazi. But Victorius does not exist, not even with reruns?

Just another boring show for teenagers... There's a laugh track after every sentence... - PeeledBanana
