This reminds of all those times we looked after my other neighbors dog! We lived somewhere else at the time and our neighbor, who happened to my school's librarian, asked us to watch her dachshund, Zoey. When she came in, she'd get so excited and jump everywhere. American Pit Bull Terrier
The American Pit Bull Terrier is a dog breed. It is a medium-sized, solidly built, short-haired dog whose early ancestors came from the British Isles. The breed is known for its strength, loyalty, and controversial history regarding breed-specific legislation.
After working with animal rescue for many years I have worked with most all different breeds and mixes. The only ones who have ever drawn blood are the little yippie dogs. The pit bull however is one of the most lovable animals I have ever been around. They have funny little personalities and are quite loyal. They at one time were known as "The Nanny Dog" because they were so good with children. I do find this to be true. We rescued a pittie several years ago and she has been one of the BEST dogs we have ever had. She is good with children, other animals (dogs, cats and even rabbits) and will even stand back when one of the other dogs comes and takes her food. I would have expected her to at least be more aggressive with food because she was starving to death (only 24 lbs) when we found her. She lived in the depths of hell before rescued and has been the most wonderful, loving and grateful girl I have ever seen. They are not for everyone - but that goes for any breed. They are FANTASTIC dogs with a heart of gold. If you do not wish to have one as a member of your family - please know that they are NOT what some people make them out to be. All animals are good when born - their life conditions make them into who they become.
