Tyranitar
Tyranitar, known in Japan as Bangiras, is a dual-type Rock and Dark Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It evolves from Pupitar starting at level 55, which itself evolves from Larvitar at level 30. Tyranitar is known for its immense physical strength and powerful offensive capabilities.
Mega Tyranitar, if you think about it, is actually stronger than Arceus. Its insane stats of 700 and its base form's incredible 600 can both be improved by 1.5 in special defense, meaning Tyranitar technically has the highest base stat total.
650 (with Sand Stream)
750 (with Sand Stream)
By far the most powerful of the rock types, including Rock Arceus. Nice try, Arceus, but this Godzilla is too powerful for you and your Zygarde Complete! Best wise, at least.
Awesome Pokémon that I have been raising so far. It can be a mixed attacker if the player wants. However, I'm just going to stick with regular offense.
Great defense being a rock type, making it one of the dream Pokémon that the player wants.

Aggron
Aggron is a dual-type Steel and Rock Pokémon that evolves from Lairon, which itself evolves from Aron. It is recognized for its heavy armor and strong territorial instincts. Aggron often restores mountain habitats that have been damaged by human activity.... read more
A respectable rival of the fearsome beast known as Tyranitar. Mega Aggron is the steel king. Heavy Slam with heavy-weight Aggron, while attaching Metal Coat, leaves opponents flattened.
It's the best. Before its Mega Evolution, it was stronger than many types, but Mega Evolution made him a pure steel type Pokémon. That was worse. It's a beast from Hoenn.
-
Aerodactyl
Aerodactyl, known in Japan as Ptera, was introduced in Pokémon Red and Blue. It is a Rock and Flying-type fossil Pokémon that resembles a prehistoric pterosaur.
Aerodactyl is known for its aggressive appearance and impressive Speed stats, which make it a strong choice in battle. It is revived... read more
I have an Aerodactyl with:
- Fire Blast
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake/Steel Wing/Dragon Claw
- Giga Impact
I would welcome ice, steel, and electric types with open arms. My moves can take care of anything.
A flying, lightning-fast rock. Who would've thought? Well, Aerodactyl is a fierce Pokémon, being able to keep up with the one and only Mega Alakazam, which is impressive.

Rhyperior
Rhyperior, known in Japan as Dosidon, is a dual-type Ground and Rock Pokémon. It made its debut in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, released in 2006 for the Nintendo DS. Rhyperior evolves from Rhydon when traded while holding a Protector.
I love Rhyperior. He is a really good rock type except against water and grass types, and he also looks sick!
A rock wrecker (like his move) that destroys. Rhyperior can be a great ground type and a great rock type.
The thing is, his attack stats are so high but can easily be OHKO'd with opponents' water moves like Hydro Pump or Surf. But, so far, so good.
-
Tyrantrum
Tyrantrum, known in Japan as Gachigoras, is a Rock and Dragon-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VI. It evolves from Tyrunt when leveled up during the daytime.
Modeled after a tyrannosaurus, Tyrantrum has a powerful bite and a regal, dinosaur-like appearance. It is often depicted with a frilled... read more
It's the T-Rex fossil Pokémon. It's the king of its time, and it's part dragon type, so it can learn powerful moves like Draco Meteor. It learns great moves, and its pre-evolution Tyrunt is adorable.
Man, this guy should be number one. Great moveset like Ice Fang and Horn Drill. It is the coolest Pokémon ever!
-
Gigalith
Gigalith is a Rock-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V in the games Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version. It evolves from Boldore when traded. Gigalith can have one of three abilities: Sturdy, Sand Stream, or its hidden ability, Sand Force, and it is known for its high Attack and Defense... read more
Have you seen this monster? Gigalith has the power to blow up an entire mountain. See those spikes on Tyranitar? Those are little mountains. Gigalith can blow Tyranitar into smithereens that are smaller than a quark. If you don't know what a quark is, you don't even deserve to be in the presence of my boy Gigalith!
In comparison, take a look at the god that is Gigalith. See those red crystals covering its body? They're red because they're drenched in the blood of Gigalith's enemies! Even better, if you think a piddly little water-type can take down Gigalith, it can use these crystals to absorb the entire sun and fire the biggest SolarBeam you've ever seen in your puny life! Vote Gigalith now before you regret it.
-
Aurorus
Aurorus, known in Japan as Amaruruga, was introduced in Generation VI and is a dual-type Rock/Ice Pokémon. It evolves from Amaura when leveled up at night starting at level 39. -
Lycanroc
Lycanroc, known in Japanese as Lugarugan, is a Rock-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VII. It evolves from Rockruff starting at level 25. Lycanroc has three forms, known as Midday, Midnight, and Dusk, and the form it evolves into depends on the time of day and the version of the game.
Lycanroc (Dusk Form) is ridiculously strong and has a unique design. In my opinion, it has one of the best abilities, Tough Claws. It increases the power of all physical attacks it uses by 30%. Come on!
First of all, Lycanroc is the best at double battles with Leafeon or a grass Pokémon. Lycanroc is quite fast, so you can use Lycanium Z quickly. Accelrock is quite a good move for Lycanroc. It's like Quick Attack.
Have you seen its new dusk form? It should be way higher because it looks awesome and has really strong attacks.
-
Rampardos
This guy would be an elite master force if he had better speed. Thankfully, Rock Polish exists. With Sheer Force and Life Orb, boom, you've got a Pokémon that can really bring a bang. Great with Baton Pass Ninjask or Baton Pass Blaziken with Speed Boost.
A tank and sweeper combined, Rampardos can take as much damage as it can dish out. Get a Rampardos Head Smash, and he'll single-handedly take out a whole party, even if he misses a couple of times.
His Mold Breaker ability lets him hit a ghost with normal moves or a Skarmory/Charizard with Earthquake.
-
Golem
A very good choice for just about anything except Special Attack, which is pretty convenient because what special attack will Golem use? The only downside is its trade evolution, which I have experienced not obtaining.
A very powerful rock-type Pokémon. In fact, so strong that it was able to take down Nintendo King!

Iron Boulder

Ogerpon (Cornerstone Mask)
-
Archeops
Although its ability lowers its attack, its total stats are too great to be ignored.
With its great stats, it will defeat the competition easily. With a total of 567, that is almost as good as Regirock. It has good speed, special attack, and attack.
Archeops, aside from Defeatist, is plain amazing. That attack stat.
-
Onix
Onix, known in Japan as Iwark, is a Rock and Ground-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It first appeared in the Pokémon Red and Blue games released in 1996.

Onix should be legendary. He has great moves.
-

Terrakion, known in Japan by the same name, is a Legendary Pokémon species introduced in Generation V. It first appeared in the games Pokémon Black and White. Terrakion is part of the Swords of Justice quartet and is a Rock and Fighting-type Pokémon.
-
Regirock
The only legendary rock type that is defensive. Use Assault Vest and stall like the wind. Toxic and Iron Defense are good defensive strategies, but Stone Edge and Earthquake are attack options.
This golem is a beast and one of my favorite legends. It will always be.
-
Kabutops
Kabutops, known in Japan by the same name, is a dual-type Rock and Water Fossil Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It evolves from Kabuto starting at level 40. Kabutops is known for its sharp scythe-like arms and swift underwater movement.
Kabutops has blades for arms! How is that not cool!
-
Probopass
Probopass, known in Japan as Dainose, is a dual-type Rock and Steel Pokémon. It first appeared in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, released in 2006 for the Nintendo DS. Probopass evolves from Nosepass when it is leveled up in a magnetic field or in specific locations introduced in later games.
He is a strong Pokémon! Why is he so far down?
The most underrated design ever.

Evolves into Tyranitar, the most epic Pokémon ever!
-
Lairon
Evolution between Aron and Aggron. Both are decently cool.
Just looks plain cool and has OP attack and defense.
