Top 10 Best Cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket (TCGP)

I don't know much since I don't play that often, and I use a Dark-type deck (effects, effects). As a result, some of the things I point out probably seem amateur at best, and I literally put at least three Dark-type Pokémon on here.

The Top Ten

  1. Darkrai EX

    Darkrai, known by the same name in Japan, is a Dark-type Mythical Pokémon that debuted in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. It is known for its ability to induce nightmares in others. Darkrai was also featured in the movie Pokémon: The Rise of Darkrai, where it played a central role.

    His ability allows you to use a move that's not an attack. It also works on the bench.

  2. Umbreon

    Umbreon, known in Japan as Blacky, is a Dark-type evolution of Eevee introduced in Generation II. Umbreon evolves when Eevee gains a high friendship level during the nighttime. It was introduced alongside Espeon in Pokémon Gold and Silver.

    Not Umbreon EX, just Umbreon. This guy is overlooked because he's not an EX, but what makes him great is that he can prevent an opponent from attacking if they're a Basic Pokémon. That makes him a great counter to Celebi and Miltank.

  3. Celebi EX

    Celebi is a Mythical Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It is a Psychic- and Grass-type Pokémon known for its ability to travel through time. Celebi is often associated with forests and acts as a guardian of nature.

    Combine this with a Serperior and you've practically won the game, unless your opponent has the often-overlooked Umbreon card.

    This guy is a tank. Literally. It also deals heavy damage.

    All you need is Whitney and a Giant Cape.

  5. Ho-oh EX

    This guy countered my Umbreon tactic. I will have pure respect for this guy.

    At the same time, though, I've never played such a painful match in my life.

  6. Professor's Research

    This is a classic. What could we do without Professor Oak?

  7. Erika

    Erika is the Gym Leader of the Celadon Gym in the Pokémon video games. She specializes in Grass-type Pokémon and awards the Rainbow Badge to Trainers who defeat her in Pokémon Red, Blue, and subsequent versions. Erika is also featured in the Pokémon anime and trading card game.

    This card is a pain to play against, especially when your opponent has the Celebi deck.

    However, I must respect its position.

  8. Rocky Helmet

    This is the best item card. It deals 20 damage to your opponent when they're attacked.

  9. Guzzlord EX

    Guzzlord is a dual-type Dark- and Dragon-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VII. It does not evolve into or from any other Pokémon. Guzzlord is one of the Ultra Beasts and is referred to by the code name UB-05 Glutton.

    A tank, making it great for setting up your benched Pokémon.

    Need a different strategy? Just give him four Energies.

  10. Giratina EX

    Giratina is a Legendary Pokémon that first appeared in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. It became the mascot of Pokémon Platinum, where it plays a central role in the game's story. Giratina is associated with the Distortion World and was banished there for its violent behavior.

    There is a deck based on him where you just keep him on the bench and throw Water Shurikens at your opponent. It's a must-have for Water decks for sure.

    (Trust me, I know. I used to use a full Water deck.)
