Top 10 Best Songs for a Coronavirus (COVID-19) Playlist

Actress Rita Wilson, wife of Tom Hanks and one of the first celebrities diagnosed with COVID-19, created and shared her own Spotify playlist of "Quarantunes" filled with songs for dealing with isolation. Her list includes such appropriately titled classics as Lonely People (America), All By Myself (Eric Carmen), and Don't Stand So Close to Me (The Police).

For this list, pick which songs you would have in your personal Coronavirus playlist. Are they about isolation, quarantine, sickness, or are they about your feelings on the state of the world?

I just HAD to vote for this! One of my favorite songs EVER! Also, I listen to this all the time, because I'm ALWAYS trying to fix my life. I watch the video on YouTube that has the music video of this song set to The Fox and the Hound (because it's my favorite movie EVER!) How this song relates to me the most:

There are ALWAYS things about which I need to talk, especially to my parents
I always feel fear and blame about all the things for which I am to blame
I'm always wondering WHEN exactly did my life start to go wrong? I used to always think it was in 2006, but then I later realized that it may have been more like 2003 or the 2000s in general. Maybe even as early as around 1996-1997 (when I was less than two years old or less than three years old)
I've lost so many things in my life, and feel so much bitterness about EVERYTHING
I even don't sleep well at night, because I'm always wondering, HOW DO I FIX MY LIFE?
Even after all the lists I made about why ...more

The Contenders

11 Help! - The Beatles Help! - The Beatles Cover Art
12 My Immortal - Evanescence My Immortal - Evanescence Cover Art

Another song I relate to the most. I'm ALWAYS tired of being here, suppressed by all of my childish fears
The wounds never heal, the pain is always too real, there's just to much that time cannot erase
I cry so many tears because things have ALWAYS lived up to my worst fears over the years
I've ALWAYS felt alone in life

Also, I'm like a mix of Once Upon a Time in New York City and Goodbye May Seem Forever. The former because I'm always scared and unprepared, the latter because it always seems like I'll always have problems forever and that my problems will NEVER end.

I will add them to the list, but I don't know if I can yet since I just voted.

Right now, yes. Not always, but right now I am. It's actually starting to get better now. I had a good day yesterday (April 18, 2020) and today has already started off well, and it's only 11:12 AM. - Disney1994

The perfect song to listen to when you think about the loss of loved ones including the coronavirus victims & even your loved ones. It even seemed to be taken from Enya's Only Time & Watermark along with the Edward Scissorhands theme & influenced Josh Groban's Believe for the Polar Express & Lana Del Rey's edition of Once Upon a Dream for Maleficent.

When you lost a loved one due the covid 19 outbreak, this would be a good song to play.

13 Once Upon a Time in New York City - Huey Lewis

This song would probably make scene when staying home with schools being closed and stuff

20 It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine) - R.E.M. It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine) - R.E.M. Cover Art

This song resurfaced ever since the news about the coronavirus. It's popular once again & hit high on the charts. Many people are feeling scared & panic that the world's gonna end due to the coronavirus even though it won't. The coronavirus pandemic is believed to end up as possibly the worst outbreak since the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic if we don't take the right precautions.

21 Throes of Perdition - Trivium Throes of Perdition - Trivium Cover Art
22 Wake Me Up When September Ends - Green Day Wake Me Up When September Ends - Green Day Cover Art

Another one I relate to the most. I'll always wishing I could just wake up from the never-ending nightmare that is life and know that life does NOT have to be bad, AND that it isn't. That I DON'T have unpopular opinions about anything, especially not TERRIBLE unpopular opinions. I only have GOOD opinions that are popular, and NO terrible opinions are ever popular, only the good ones are. I know this isn't what the song is about, but I don't quite know it as well as the other two for which I voted on here (My Immortal and How to Save a Life).
