This top 10 list is about the Mario enemies that are the most dangerous underwater. With these sea enemies around, it's not safe to swim. Bosses are not included.

  1. Cheep Chomp (New Super Mario Bros.)

    This big fish has a selfish and greedy appetite! It eats other fish and humans! It may be a slow swimmer, but when it opens its large mouth, it sucks in anyone or anything that gets too close! Since it has a large stomach, it never gets full!

  2. Boss Bass (Super Mario Bros. 3)

    This fish acts the same as the Porcupuffer and eats humans like the Lunge Fish! It swims after you in and above the water! When the timing is right, it'll jump out of the water and swallow the human in a single bite!

  3. Lunge Fish (Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island)

    This is the first time in the countdown that a dangerous sea enemy eats HUMANS WHOLE! This fish waits in its swamp for a victim to pass by. Then, when it closes in on its target, it sinks underwater and quickly jumps out to eat!

  4. Dragoneel (New Super Mario Bros. U)

    It chases you underwater and tries to corner you with its long body and tail. It'll swim in any direction it wants to. When the Dragoneel circles around you, it's sometimes difficult to escape.

  5. Porcupuffer (Super Mario World, New Super Mario Bros. Wii)

    From New Super Mario Bros. Wii, they come in all sizes and are very fast fish that will always return. The Ice Flower is ineffective!

    This spiky fish swims fast! Even when you're not in the water, it can still jump to get you! If you defeat this enemy, it'll return again to get you!

    In the dark, these enemies glow with a bright light inside themselves. They are hazards underwater. Touching them can electrify you. (These also count for Jelectros and other dangerous jellyfish.)

  9. Rammerhead (Super Mario 3D World)

    This hammerhead shark has spikes all around its head, between its eyes. Those spikes are dangerous to touch. This shark is often found swimming in the dark.

    When it sees you, it'll follow you by swimming upwards in a diagonal zig-zag pattern. If you touch it, it'll hurt you. Some Bloopers even have babies. They release the babies into the sea. Touching the babies will hurt you too!
