Top 10 Best Characters from The 100

The Top Ten
1 Bellamy Blake

Best character by far. He is hot! He is brave, he is protective of Octavia. He was very much a dick in S1 and S3, but he has proved that he is worthy of this position. I am only up to S5, so I don't know how this ends but Bellamy made a big mistake on dating Eco. Eco tried to kill Octavia, stabbing her and throwing her off a cliff. He should have gone with Clarke. "My sister, my responsibility." He had so much pressure on him, for as far back as when he was about 7. I will always love Bellamy and wish more people would try to understand him.

After season he one was the most selfless character. To me he was the real hero. Clarke always made geave mistakes. She killed a lot of people and bellamy because of her daughter, to me it was selfish. While bellamy was always selfless even willing to dumb her little sister for greater good

He was the last person I wanted to live at the beginning. I hated him. But by season 2 "whatever the hell we want" seemed to be saving his friends and family, not just avoiding the cops. I absolutely despised how right he has been throughout a lot of the series. He knew they would still be treated like criminals when the ark came down, he was great at getting into mount weather, even without Lincoln. I love how he and Clarke end up together in the end of every season. I feel like in their own ways, they went through a lot of the same pain.

There are infinite reasons to love this character, what he has suffered and throughout the series is one of the amazing thing. 1. He shot chancellor just because he can be with his sister 2. He was selfish at the start but never meant to hurt people 3. Regretted his actions and then did what he has to save everyone. His season 1 arc was awesome in season 2 he proved he's brave and can do anything for the 100 now. In season 3 he kinda messed up again by making some rash decision in anger. Season 4 again tried his best to do everything for his people, did some best things none mistakes from him this season. Season 5 again did whatever it takes to maintain peace even it means to poison his own sister or broke a promise with someone he loves (still not shown in series but everyone knows he loves clarke). Season 6 one of the tough decision of his life he made leaving his sister alone ( what bellamy must have been through after that particular decision) seeing someone you love dying.

2 John Murphy

John has made a huge improvement as a character and he definitely deserves the 2 place spot, if not the first. I just love how the made this little cockroach last this long. He is about a hot as Bellamy and his relationship with Emori. I great. He is a comedic relief and I really relate to him.

Murphy's character development is amazing. From episode one, he is easily a most disliked character but by the end of season 2 we already see the amount of growth he has and will continue to go through. He manages to become a fan favorite after allowing himself to feel for others rather than just looking out for himself. And honestly, who could blame him for putting himself #1 anyway. He wasn't a leader like Bellamy & Clarke. He didn't feel an obligation to put others before him before he got to know them & realize how much he cared for them. Unlike other characters, Murphy is still continuing to grow all these seasons later and I'm excited to see where it takes him

Yea sure, he was a dick for all of season 1 and like half of season 2, but the moment he met Emori he changed. His character development went from 0 to 100 and I LOVE IT! A soft side of him came out and it shows in the funniest moments. He is honestly a relatable, funny, witty, and realistic character who simply wants to survive and keep his loved ones safe.
Not only that but people forget his history - he had a rough childhood that made him who he is, but a part of him has always been a softie. Murphy truly is a multi-layered character :)

He started off as a bit of a dick like Bellamy, but later on we empathized with him time and time again. Also why the hell is Bellamy first? Bellamy caused 320 people to die by taking off everyone's wrist bands in season 1, and in season 3 he massacred grounders who were there to protect them. I mean I'd like Finn, Raven, Jasper, Monty, Clarke, and of course Murphy ahead of the overrated Bellamy Blake.

3 Octavia Blake

She's top five to me. It's so cute how home Bellamy were like the best siblings while she was with Lincoln, and when Bellamy was in the mountain.

Hands down the most underrated character of the bunch. She was the one who suffered so much throughout her life and the time she took over the throne for 1200 people with competitive history where Clarke the mc found it difficult to lead 100 of the same people.

Octavia is so underrated and deserves the 3 place spot. I understand her bloodraina phase. Even clack found I hard to look after 100 people on earth. Even with Bellamy's help.

The reason I adore Octavia Blake is because she is her own person and won't make herself be someone she isn't. She was never apart of skaikru or trikru, she spent time trying to find herself and discovered she could be whoever she wanted to be. She is a warrior and a survivor and I know that whatever they discover on this new planet; she will be able to face it.

And yes, she became Bloodreina who a lot of people didn't like but there is a reason why. She became who she needed to be and that was Bloodreina.

I am glad the writers didn't kill her off in season 5 because I think she is the most capable of all characters to turn her story around and do what Monty asked of them. She has the potential to be the good guy (or her warrior equivalent) and I hope that she will be.

4 Raven Reyes

Raven is the most badass character on this show. No one can change my opinion on that. She is strong-willed, determined, and a genius, of course. If it weren't for Raven Reyes, there is absolutely no way the rest would've survived this long. She is constantly the character averting a new disaster or coming up with a creative solution to save everyone's lives. I also love her storyline with her leg. We don't get to see struggles like that in shows like this ever. Seeing all the emotions she goes through and the obstacles she faces during that time is heartbreaking and inspiring. More of her scenes bring tears to my eyes than all other characters combined. I think many people can relate to the idea of feeling in denial and lost when they can no longer do what they used to and having to find whole new ways to continue doing the work that is important to them. Raven made it through all of that, losing Finn, and so much more, and has come out the other end stronger. She deserves that #1 ...more

She is the most admirable character in the series. Raven is not only remarkably intelligent, she has a really strong will and dignity. She is not only brain she is also heart; she is emotional although she hides it, and she is not a resentful person we saw how she forgives Murphy (for her leg) and also Clarke (for Finn). She may be stubborn, self-demanding and sometimes quite distant but her flaws are not that bad as with the case of other characters in the series. And, althoug she is quite brave because she is willing to sacrifize herself for her friends, she also has her personal fears: a person who is afraid of failure and also of loving (because she is afraid of having to overcome another death of a loved one).

I love Raven. Throughout the seasons I feel like she's the only character who never does anything that bad besides the nuclear reactor. She is literally so inspirational with how she can literally do anything. She was dying, but she's literally so smart she found a way to cure it. I mean she literally built a bomb out of a tin can in season 1. It's also hilarious watching her be the 7th wheel in space. Also she deserves so much better. Literally everyone she ever loved died.

I love raven. She has gone through so much and definitely needs the 4 place. After she lost Finn, her leg and basically EVERYTHING, I completely understand why she went to the city of light. And even after she got out, she keep losing and losing stuff. She is a great character ❤️

5 Clarke Griffin

"I bare it so they don't have to." I one of the best quotes I have ever heard from her mouth. Clarke alway puts others before the herself, and no one understands this. She has been hurt as much as the others (not including raven) and everyone always blames her for there wrongs. In mount weather she got blamed, when all she was doing was saving her people. She deserves more.

She has been through a lot and she is my favorite character. The reason she my favorite character is she try's to save everyone on the drop ship. When mountain weather came in on season 2 she try to save everyone but had a difficult choice to make. After Lexa betrayal then in season 3 Lexa is trying to make clark's people her people. They fall in love right after Lexa is killed by a bullet and died. Then Clark is left heartbroken and she saves humanity again after that. But after lexa's Death Clark has a heavy burden on her. Then she meets Madi and then become like mother and daughter. Then she raises her for about 6 years. Clark is a good person who made hard choices. And as it said in the show she makes these decisions so her people don't have to.

Clarke is in my opinion the strongest character by far. You could argue that any of the main character are, but Clarke puts her pain aside to try and do the best thing for her people.
When she initially landed on earth, she had just watched her father get floated, finds out it was her mums fault and then her life long bestfriend gets murdered. However, she stays strong, makes friends with Bellamy and together, they try to do whats best for their people. I also love her relationship with Bellamy - it is nice that they both have someone they can trust and just be themselves with.

One of the best characters, lost so much but does anything to save her people (even sacrificing herself). Raven stans are so blinded by their hate for Clarke that they don't realize that Clarke saved everyone in mount weather, from ALLIE, from grounders, from pramfiya etc. Don't get me wrong I love Raven too

People also hate her for what she did to Bellamy but what nobody realizes is how she had to kill her best friend to save her daughter who still died ( a parents worst nightmare). She's lost Bellamy, Lexa, Wells, Finn, her mom, dad, Madi, Jasper, Harper, Monty etc.

6 Monty Green

Monty was an extremely great character...he is kind of cute and I loved his relationship with Jasper. He is intelligent and compassionate when it comes to friends and family.

I am really pissed at the writers. They shouldn't have killed his character off.

By far the wisest, sweetest, most reasonable character to come from this show. He deserved the world and I'm glad the writers gave him a "happy" ending with the woman he loved. It's harder to choose to not fight than it is to fight. he was the strongest character.

The only time I ever questioned Monty's morals was with the whole 'being on Pike's side'. But I don't really blame him for this, as his dad just died, so he was really just following and putting his trust into his mum.
However, Monty has been through so much, especially havig to kill his mum and then watching his bestfriend fall apart and die.

He was always here for his friend and always tried to save them. In season 5, he was the only who tried to make a real peace and to find solution with his farm. Then when he was in the space ship, he tried his best to save everybody and creat peace again.

7 Marcus Kane

Kane started off as a total jerk, but after his mother died and the arc went down his character started improving. Since then he's always striving for peace and usually succeeds. At first he would do anything to be the leader and now he would die for his followers. I'm not a huge fan of Abby but Kabby makes me very happy so these two better stay on the show At LEAST for another season. During season five he made some questionable choices so I agree that he should not be number one but every character on this show has made a choice that the fandom hates, let's be honest we all hated Bellamy when Pike was around. Yeah so Kane definitely deserves to be top ten.

My personal favorite character from The 100 is most definitely Marcus. I hated him at first, as most of us did, but then he became one of the most intelligent ones. I feel like with most characters in The 100 they go through stages where what they do is a bad decision or just really stupid (not naming anyone-cough Clarke cough) but I think that Kane probably made the least amount of bad decisions after Season 1. I can't think of one bad thing he did and everything he does is less about fighting for his people- and more for fighting for love. Also Kabby is just too cute I can't even

Kane is number 1. on my list! In season one he was cold hearted, but changed so much. Watching him slowly become more kindhearted and improving as a person made me happy. Season 3 Kane was amazing! He was such a badass and overall a great person. I don't necessarily hate or like Abby, but I love their relationship. Go Kane

The best leader. Things were best when he was in control because he makes the most rational decisions and is not violent. He should have never lost control of Arkadia.

8 Lexa

Lexa is my number 1! She the strongest and smartest character (she and clarke by the way) in the series. It's just so devastating that she had to leave the show. But anyway, her character empowers and inspire women. She inspires me. She's different. She's calm. She's compassionate, strong, smart, independent. I love her! It isn't just about her sexuality, but it's everything! She may be ruthless but she smart. It's just so sad that she had to leave. But nonetheless, she left a beautiful mark on everyone that continuously inspires.

She's my favorite character. It's so sad that she was in the episodes for like a season or so and they kind of ruined the show for me I wish she didn't die so quickly like her and Clark could've been endgame and she like made me mad sometimes like at the mountain when she just left Clark there. But Clarke and Lexa could've like than the best couple

The best character on the show she started out as some grounder commander chick then she helps battle the mountain men with skaikru. Although she did there them at the battle for there people but if you didn't like the people you were teaming up with and you got your goal and didn't lose any men you probably would too at the time. Then she develops to peace and almost succeeds. But she did die and I would liked to see her character develop more than just being one of the main characters girlfriends and listening to whatever she said except for at the conclave 1v1 with roan.

Easily the best character, she is a great commander and it showed she was ruthless at times but did everything for the greater good for her people that's what makes a good commander, that's what made season 2-3 so great when she was in it. Sad they killed her off so quick. She had the brains to lead and make smart decisions but also the heart to make all the hard choices, like the bombing of her people." To win a war you must lose battles"

9 Lincoln

He wasn't in the shell for long enough. It was so happy for me when he helped Octavia and also help the other people. I think it was season two episode 15 when he was helping Hendra not sure If I spelled that correct

I don't think there anyone who dislikes Lincoln. His morals are incredible and he is so sweet. Linctavia is one of my favorite couples and I cried like a baby during his death. I hate Pike! He did everything to protect everyone. Not just my people, but all people.

He is the best character in the 100,brave, selfless, always trying to do the right thing and looking for the best for everyone, he definitely shouldn't have died, without him the 100 would not have survived the first season.

He is absolutely a great person. He has so much compassion and him and Octavia were perfect together. He was so selfless and down to earth, so amazing. He was also willing to lay his life down to save his people.

10 Jasper Jordan

Loved him in season 1 and especially in season 2. Didn't like him in the next seasons but I tried to understand what he went through. In season 4 I started to love him again and he really deserved better. Wish people would try to understand him. I know he was annoying but he was such a pure soul (he was also the youngest of them all) who experienced too many bad things.

I liked him before he went psycho from Maya's death, he was funny and sweet. Even in season four I kind of agree with him, because while everyone around him is rushing to prepare for Praimfaya and not enjoying what will be a lot of them's last days alive, he's enjoying the beauty of life. I hate that it takes him being broken and portrayed as crazy to show that perspective.

I loved him and was really sad when he committed suicide. He was supposed to be there till the end but he couldn't hold on anymore and I understand that.

You made him commit suicide. In season 2 he was awesome. But you ruined everything I liked his dark humour in 3&4 but still he was ruined

The Contenders
11 Echo

I love how you learn about her character the more the show goes on. It's really interesting and intriguing. She is definitely the most badass character on the show. She was broken from a young age and on the arc she learns to be caring and loving. I wish she learned to be more independent but I just love how they developed her throughout the show.

Echo is probably one of the only characters in The 100 that I love (other than Indra)!

Is a good character that was raised wrong and made bad choices. But she is still a good character

Echo had no other choice than to become a spy. Season 6 was her season.

12 Roan

A great character for the season he was in. Would have loved to see more form him but his death made sense. No way could he have lived in the bunker.

Roan was a bad ass. Wish he would've made it for season 5. Another moronic mistake by the writers for killing his character off

One of the most badass characters and he was killed. Great who's next? Bellamy? Or maybe Octavia?

King Roan was really cool, he shouldn't have died. They should've made his death sadder.

13 Thelonious Jaha

I'm not sure why everyone hating on Jaha. He was the most wise and caring character. People may say he was bad because he found the city of light? Truth is, he saved everyone after he found it. It released and revealed information on Allie and without him finding the city of light, They wouldn't have known about Primfya. So all the characters would have died except the remaining nightbloods.

I love Jaha. I don't know why everyone hates on him. If he never found the city of light Clarke never would have found out about Primfaya and everyone would have died. Jaha was the one who found the bunker. He always did what he thought was best for his people. He's my favourite character in the whole show.

I will say I loved his character in the first few seasons. Was a great leader on the arc. I loved how he volunteered himself for the culling. I will say by season 4 he got kinda annoying but his character went through a lot of change. And he always put his people first.

Jaha ruins everything, he brought ALIE and killed hundreds if not thousands of people doing.

14 Emori

I literally love Emori so much. First of all you can't tell me I'm wrong, but she and John literally carried season 4. Memori is my favorite couple on the show. I cried so hard when I thought she died in season 7. I also love her friendship with Raven. I know she did some bad things at the beginning, but like every other character she developed, and also compared to some people, she never did anything that bad. I love it when in season 7 she and Murphy are protecting everyone else in the reactor. It really shows you how much she has grown as a person. I also feel like her development has a lot to do with the six years in space. She finally started to feel like her life actually mattered and she was worth something. Also, she finally felt like she had a home and family.

Looove her! Especially with Murphy. She made Murphy a better person and she seems very loyal and nice. She's so cute.

Emori was a great character. Murphy was a nice guy really, he just had a lot of terrible things happen to him so he took it out on others but Emori brought back his nice side so yay her and the way she would do anything for him to save him and stuff was just so sweet. 9th

The lengths she would go for Murphy was so sweet.

15 Indra

Love this woman. She's the mother figure for another fierce woman on the show (Octavia) And they're both fricking awesome and no one can tell my otherwise. I just am so passionate for the bond Indra and Octavia have. Love you Indra!

My favorite part from her is in season 7 where she finally steps up and becomes a leader her self. To be fair she always was but just never showed it.

She is so SOLID it's refreshing to have a character like that in a show like this!

Indra was such a solid character. She completely defined the warrior role.

16 Charmaine Diyoza

The character growth is amazing.

I really like her on the end.

She's pretty cool

17 Madi Griffin

I love Madi. She is literally so sweet and I love her mother daughter relationship with Clarke. Her death was the saddest on the show for me. I physically couldn't handle it. I was really upset when she turned herself in. I know she was trying to do what was right, but I feel like it made Clarke killing Bellamy all for nothing. It also ended up leading to her death. I think that Madi was definitely one of the greatest editions to the show.

She is the person Clark holds closest. She is so much like Lexa. They are both fearless, detrimented, and they both hold Clark close. And seens Lexa died Clark feels guilty for her death. So she does everything in her power to , save , help, and keep Madi from death. Madi helps Clark through emotional times even if she doesn't know it. She really has a lot of help in the important of clark's New self.

I wish we got to see more from madi. She came late and never really got as much screen time as she deserved. I also hated how she never got to be a kid. In season 7 you really got to see a lot of growth since she was no longer the heda. I really enjoyed her dynamic with Clarke. I think she made Clarke understand a lot about doing better.

I love how she cared about Clarke's friends and she is so cute! But I don't like how Clarke treated her and how she put her above everyone else...and she deserved a normal childhood... glad she got a happy end

18 Charlotte

My 12 year old sister, who looks similar to Charlotte were watching this show. The episode before Charlotte died, I told my sister she would be Charlotte. It was honestly the funniest conuncidence ever. Still I hated her death. Also, when she kills Wells, I jumped. It was out of no where.

I don't know why but I like her.

19 Finn Collins

His character started off a bit one-dimensional and like a plot device, but later on he became a major character. His death was the saddest on the show, and I believe the show was sitting on a golden mine with a character like Finn, but instead they killed him off for the massacre. Lexa orders his death even though she was probably behind the first few attacks that started the war in the first place. I don't like the show after his death, because there is no such thing as justice in this show, and Finn will always have his fans.

Finn was the first person in the show I considered one of my favorite characters if not my favorite. It's a damn shame how the writers turned him into a psychopath in season 2 to kill him off. Yet another moronic decision by these writers. I'm beginning to think these guys may arguably the biggest idiots alive. Never seen a show kill off so many fan favorites it's outrageous. Seek help retards

His death was the saddest thing in the whole show. He probably should've waited longer to move on from Raven, and just told her when she got to the ground that he loved Clarke. But, he was one of the nicest people. He was my favorite in the beginning, but then Octavia met Lincoln, and from that became a better person, so now she is my favorite.

My favorite charachter , he did kill 18 innocent people but he did not even know it at all and he also did it as he thought it would save his beloved ones (Clark and the others) . They didn't know his value unfortunately. They vasted a huge potential of the Finn charachter by doing it by the way. Also Why didn't Clark even remember him any time in any other seasons ? kind of nonsense. Love ya Finn the Spacewalker ... :) you won't be forgotten.

20 Paxton McCreary
21 Luna

Had you not gone loco at the end, you'd be in space with your astronaut girlfriend. I really liked you, why does Jason feel the need to just kill of any characters the fandom might really like? What's up with that dude?

She was very intresting and tough. She was probably one of the strongest characters on the whole show. I don't understand how she's only twenty fourth.

22 Charles Pike

Couldn't stand this character one bit, but at least he looked and fit the part. Not a great character, but the actor did a solid job. Much more of a convincing villain than McQueery

I am probably only one who likes him, but I think he deserve redemption on the end.

23 Harper McIntyre

It's so interesting how a minor character was given a bigger part in season 3. She should definitely be in the top ten instead of Jasper.

Chelsey Reist has really brought such a minor character to life. Hope she gets a bigger role in season 5 and beyond.

Monty and her were the best couple by a mile.

Small character, turned amazing.

24 Wells Jaha

He died way too soon. Him and Clark were like best friends, and It kind of brakes me, knowing that he died.

I've read a comment accusing Wells death to be because of racism. He died to develop Thelonius. If the show were racist towards black people Indra,Gaia , Thelonius, Tsing wouldn't have been on the show.

No he is not gay

25 Abigail Griffin

I don't get why she gets so much hate she's literally the cutest and Paige done such an amazing job playing Abby. She deserves TOP 5!

I agree with "Terrible character... sorry" and "I want them to kill her off"

She saved so many people. She deserves better.

I've liked Abby from the very beginning. Very complex character, in my opinion. And Paige Turco portraid her so greatly.
