Top 10 Best Theatrical Movies of All Time

The Contenders: Page 3

41 Shrek
42 Singin' in the Rain

Singin' in the Rain is the best musical ever! I watched it as part of a college assignment for my music class. Along with the worst musical ever, Rocky Horror Picture Show. I really appreciate the style of this movie as well as the characters. This was hands down Debbie Reynolds's best performance! I miss her so much. Every single song is enjoyable to listen to and it's very enjoyable seeing the actors having fun during these musical numbers! Make 'em Laugh is very hilarious! There are quite a lot of humorous moments in the film! The comedy is definitely one of the highlights! One of the reasons why I love La La Land so much is because it was a great homage to old school musicals such as Singin' in the Rain! Even the love story felt pretty similar. Both of these are fantastic films, but Singin' in the Rain is my favorite musical! - MegaSoulhero

43 Pulp Fiction

"I double dare you! "

44 Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl

How is this not higher up? Zootopia's on this list; that's why. I didn't put there and I obviously didn't vote for it, but we all know how much everyone, especially on this site, worships it and one of the biggest detractors has gone BACK to worshiping it. I'll be #1 on this list whether we like it or not.

45 Toy Story 2

How could someone forget to add this!? - darthvadern

46 One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
47 Despicable Me 3

Poop movie

Piece of crap liked by brainwashed minion fans, (no offense) - VideoGamefan5

48 Jurassic World

An amazing movie - growlbunny

49 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2
50 Inside Out
51 Hotel Transylvania
52 Wall-E
53 Logan
54 The Departed
55 Mad Max: Fury Road

Fury Road is a reboot/sequel to Mad Max! Kind of like how Jurassic World is a reboot of Jurassic Park while also being a continuation and like how the Force Awakens is a reboot of the original Star Wars while also continuing the franchise. But unlike the latter two, this actually feels like its own thing. Fury Road is an incredible movie! When I first watched it, I was like "It's good, but not great." Then when I watched it a second time, I was like "THIS IS GREAT! " I was entertained literally the entire time! The performances are incredible! Tom Hardy is perfect! Just brilliant! And the action is some of the best I've seen! There is some CGI used, but there are also a lot of practical stunts! My favorite character in the movie would have to be the guitar guy! I don't know why, but he is just awesome! Just like the entire movie! - MegaSoulhero

Mad Max was one I hadn't got around until I heard about this film, and the whole scenery, and cool outfits chose makes film cooler, and it stands out for rightfully dominating the academy, and Golden Globes in 2016 (despite not winning best picture). - htoutlaws2012

Best in the Mad Max franchise. - PeeledBanana

56 Jurassic Park

Spielberg once more gives us a brilliant masterpiece with great suspense, likable characters, fantastic cinematography, beautiful landscapes, amazing CGI, very smart script, wonderful story, another groundbreaking John Williams score and why we shouldn't interfere with nature!

For 1993 this was very significant for bringing in a great number for grossing in the theaters. How can you not though because it has that great atmosphere followed by a memorable John Williams that is timeless. - htoutlaws2012

1993 was a great year for film - PeeledBanana

57 Saving Private Ryan

Showcases the true horrors of world war II, Saving Private Ryan is the intense emotional story of soldiers who risk their lives for another and remains one of my all time favorites.

The one war movie I truly fought should have easily been the best picture of 1999. - htoutlaws2012

58 Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
59 Frozen
60 The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
