Ten Things Nickelodeon Should Do in 2017

Cartoonfan202

The Top Ten

1 Make more cartoons and less sitcoms

100% agreed. Their sitcoms are garbage, but The Loud House and Harvey Beaks are pretty good cartoons. - DCfnaf

I agree with everything on this list. - ModernSpongeBobSucks

Oh, and also, Nick has picked up a series called Massive Monster Mayhem, that will come out later this year. A sci-fi competition series, Massive Monster Mayhem features live gameplay by kids in futuristic challenges against gigantic Monster Superstars for the chance to win prizes and save the planet from destruction. Massive Monster Mayhem is executive produced by Spigel, together with Steven DeNure, Anne Loi, Asaph Fipke, Ken Faier, and Josh Scherba of DHX Media.
Each episode features three real-life kid heroes competing in a gauntlet of Intergalactic Battle Alliance challenges to become Earth's champion and face off against Master Mayhem's league of monsters in the ultimate "Monster Mashdown." The unique series combines cutting-edge, real-time CGI and pre-visualization technology.

Uh...this seems weird. But it might not be that bad. - Cartoonfan202

Nickelodeon is the current leading kids network:
Kids 2-11--#1 The Thundermans, #2 Nicky, Ricky, Dicky and Dawn, #3 SpongeBob SquarePants, #4 The Loud House, #5 PAW Patrol, #6 Game Shakers, #7 Alvinnn! and The Chipmunks, #8 Paradise Run, #9 Bunsen is a Beast and #10 Henry Danger.

Kids 6-11--#1 The Thundermans, #2 Nicky, Ricky, Dicky and Dawn, #3 Game Shakers, #4 Paradise Run, #5 School of Rock, #6 Henry Danger, #7 SpongeBob SquarePants, #8 Hunter Street, #9 The Loud House and #10 Bunsen is a Beast.

I feel so sorry for everyone in that age group who does not know of NickGEMS like Avatar or Drake and Josh but only generic crap like The Thundermans, Alvin and the Chipmunks, and Paw Patrol. I'm technically still a kid, since I'm actually 12, but I know everything about the 90s and 2000s gems. Anyway, I'm glad to see Bunsen is a Beast and Hunter Street, 2 actually good programs, getting good ratings. - Cartoonfan202

2 Cancel all the bad shows

Then Nick would be screwed. I guess cancel Sanjay and Craig, Breadwinners, Henry Danger, etc. - DCfnaf

The two tyrants (BW and S&C) got killed (cancelled) by the Loud House.

3 Improve NickToons

NickToons should air more of the 2000s cartoons, since The Splat only has the 90s. NickToons is pretty much cancer, they're always marathoning Sanjay and Craig and the LIVE ACTION SHOWS. - Cartoonfan202

I Don't Mind Power Rangers being on Nicktoons, But All the sitcoms have got to go. We Already Have TeenNick. - kcianciulli

4 Make The Splat a 24/7 Channel

I have to sit through an entire episode of Boy Meets World just so I can watch Hey Arnold. Plus, not everyone's gonna stay up at midnight to watch the shows. I would love it if the Splat was a 24/7 channel. - Cartoonfan202

It's Now Called Nicksplat. - kcianciulli

5 Cancel The World Wide Day of Play

What's wrong with it?

6 Stop trying to be hip and relevant

Nick tries to be hip and modern but fails, its just cringy. - Cartoonfan202

7 Fire Cyma Zarghami

The channel went downhill when she became president. Having someone who knows what they are doing as president would be much better - Cartoonfan202

What Genius put an Iranian in charge of Nickelodeon. - kcianciulli

She is Iranian? I'm pretty sure that she won't bring a REAL Persian sword in the studio.
Get it? It feels like she is terrorist of Nick community.

8 Get rid of NickSports on NickToons

No one watches those shows anyway, so why would they still air the sports shows? - Cartoonfan202

Merge TeenNick, Nicktoons T.V., and the main network and bring back Nick GAS. - Kid_ethinederland

9 Not rig the KCAs

Nickelodeon said that the KCAs for this year is gonna be full of surprises, and I sure hope so. I hope they don't rig it. I don't want SB to win Best Cartoon for the umpteenth time or for all the crap to win - Cartoonfan202

Too bad, even if they aren’t rigged, everyone who the media nominates is going to be an untalented internet person.

10 Treat their shows with respect

They treat their less popular shows like garbage - Cartoonfan202

They focus on Spongebob WAY too much and that's why the other shows like The Loud House get no runtime. - DCfnaf

The Harvey Beaks catastrophe is a great example of this. This shows how careless and greedy Zarghami is. Thank God that Russel is gone. - Kid_ethinederland

The Newcomers

? Cancel SpongeBob after the third movie

The Contenders

11 Bring The Slime Back Everywhere
12 Make a Loud House/Harvey Beaks Crossover

I Wanted this to happen, but no, instead they make a Henry Danger/Game Shakers Crossover. - kcianciulli

I don’t really think that would work. Harvey Beaks is set in a universe where humans presumably don’t exist.

13 Fire Zeus Cervas

Zeus has improved since moving to Harvey Beaks. - kcianciulli

14 Show more of their older shows because they are better than their new ones.

I hope Hey Arnold the Jungle Movie is good because I was disappointed with the first film. - Kid_ethinederland

Don't worry, folks. Nick's got something even better. They're bringing back some of their old shows in brand new upcoming T.V. movies! - ModernSpongeBobSucks

15 Shut down

The only good thing nick could do

16 Stop ripping off other shows
17 Bring Zoey 101, iCarly, and Victorious on Nick@Nite

Maybe. The only 4 shows on Nick@Nite are Full House, Friends, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and George Lopez - Cartoonfan202

18 Bring Back El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera

This show is underrated. - Cartoonfan202

19 Make Good Cartoons
20 Make Good Sitcoms
21 Stop cancelling good shows
22 Disregard the Ratings of Good shows
23 Bring the Old Logo Back
24 Spend their money
25 Cancel Alvin And The Chipmunks
26 Cancel Regal Academy
27 Improve their schedule

Unfortunately, having a limited schedule is a huge problem for the channel. They don't have much time to air their "big kid" shows, due to the Nick Jr. block and the Nick@Nite block taking up air time in the morning and the night. And the chunk of time between Nick Jr. and Nick@Nite is limited to Spongebob, The Loud House, Henry Danger, and The Thundermans reruns, since those are the four most popular Nick shows. And not to mention, they have movies every Thursday.

Weekends are better because they don't air the Nick Jr. block, but they waste their airtime on Spongebob and Loud House reruns. They usually have one airing of Power Rangers Ninja Steel and Regal Academy per day, along with two early morning reruns of Alvinnn! and the Chipmunks, while they put all of their teen sitcoms into primetime. Oh, and they have one rerun of TMNT on Sundays. What I would do to fix the schedule is to stretch the "big kid" schedule to 9:30 PM. I would cut back the Nick Jr. schedule to 1:30 PM, ...more - Cartoonfan202

28 Bring The Backyardigans Back

I love it. Even though it's from nick jr.
