Many video games can turn put badly and there are video games which were clearly doomed before being released either due to the game being rushed, or problems during production.The infamous game wither or not you believe E.T truly caused the Video Game Crash doesn't change the fact that they game was still rushed in order to make the 1982 Christmas Season the game sold but received mostly negative reviews and countless cartridges were returned not only that but they had an enormous amount of unsold copies, you gotta feel bad for Howard Scott Warshaw who pretty much had to do the whole game alone in just 5 and a half weeks who got most of the blame for the games failure as a result of this E.T. ended up becoming the final blow to Atari causing them to go bankrupt and resulted in the Video Game Crash of 1983 and many of the copies ended up being buried in a landfill in New Mexico.
When a game has spent 15 years in development its almost guaranteed to fail big time such was the case with Duke Nukem Forever which was first announced back in 1997 and was finally released in 2011 to huge disappointment.
The game wasn't finished but was released anyway in order to get it out in time for Sonic's 15th anniversary and to market the game for the holiday season, the game bomb'd receiving mostly negative reviews with many complaining about the numerous glitches, long and frequent load times, terrible camera system and imprecise controls.
A game that was rushed to make the 1981 Christmas season and Atari manufactured 12 million cartridges even though only 10 Atari 2600 systems were sold at the time, the game was riddled with glitches and the game was clearly not finished.
