Top Ten Villains of ThorHere is a list of the most evil and fiercest foes Marvel's Asgardian God of Thunder has ever squared off against, Have at the!
The Top Ten
The God of Mischief and Thor's Step-Brother, Loki Laufeyson is always up to no good with a diabolical scheme up his sleeve to pit against Thor and Asgard itself, Loki is without a doubt Thor's Greatest & most important villain, any Thor story without him feels incomplete, he is also one of Marvel's top villains in general and one of The Greatest Villains in Comic Book History.
You took the words right outta my mouth. I completely agree that any Thor story would feel incomplete without Loki. He's just such an interesting character. His high intelligence and mischievous nature always keeps the heroes on their toes. - NerdBunny

No question the BEST
I love Loki! Even though he is considered a villain you can tell he has a good ♥️ heart and that he loves his brother!
The Mistress of Death, Ruler of Hel aka The Realm Niffleheim and one of Loki's odd children. Hela is always eager to claim the soul of Thor at any chance she can, primarily due to the fact she suffers the same evil problem of The Enchantress, she longs to love Thor. However she has never really had a chance to claim his soul which drives her mad as she eagerly awaits the day she can do so.
Sometimes,you just can't beat a great hat.
The ruler of hell odins first born as she is as strong and as powerful as Thor and thanos nearly killed Thor she is not Loki daughter the ruler of Niffleheim she wants the soul of thor
Although his live action portrayal in Thor The Dark World was somewhat inaccurate and lackluster, The Leader of The Dark Elves of Svartalfheim is not to be taken lightly. He possesses the ability to manipulate magic to his advantage and use it against his enemies. He is always in search of the ancient relic The Casket of Ancient Winters in hopes to recreate a new Svartalfheim from one of the other living realms (he usually aims for Midgard/Earth) and will do whatever is necessary to achieve just that.
More so an old foe of All-Father Odin, The Ruler of the Fire Demons of Muspelheim awaits for the Apocalyptic Prophecy known as Ragnarok to befall Asgard, where it is said he will lead a march made up of the anti-asgardian realms to beseige the shining city and watch it burn in the end of all things! Not to mention he's the size of a mountain and wields a giant sword, Surtur is truly a force to be reckoned with.
They may not be as sinister or smart as the 3 villains above them on this list, but The Giants of Jotunheim also not to be taken lightly. For one they are massive in size, two they wield huge weapons capable of much destruction and three they are dangerous in large numbers. With that being said it's their hatred for Asgard and those who live within it which makes them relentless and worthy villains
Bruh... Loki is a frost giant - catlinelizabethlaufeyson
The one beast actually capable of killing Thor, The Serpent is so long & so big it is capable of wrapping itself around the earth and crushing it within its coils like an anaconda does to its prey. It is both the destiny of Thor as well as Jormungand to die in battle against each other in both Norse Mythology and Marvel Comics adaptation of the Mythology.
Nicknamed The God Killer by the one being who crafted it (Odin) for the soul purpose of doing just that in the idea that if an asgardian in power ever went bad, The Destroyer is not a living being itself but a weapon which is brought to life by another's commanding life-force. When placed in or taken control of by the wrong hands (which happens more so than it should) The Destroyer lives up to its name and wicked nickname as well.
The muscle for hire of The Enchantress, Skurge is basically her bodyguard who most of the time manages to give Thor a taste of his own medicine by packing a wallop with his weapon which is a giant double bladed battle axe. Skurge has done more than just that, in some stories doing heroic deeds, but for the most part remains at Amora's side ready to swing at anyone in her way.
The muscle for hire of The Enchanctress, Skurge has sometimes given Thor a dose of his own medicine by bashing him with a weapon of his own which happens to be a big doubled sided battle axe. Skurge has done much more though, in some stories doing heroic deeds but mostly being seen at the side of Amora, ready to take on whoever stands in her way.
The evil deeds of The Enchantress against Thor are driven by usually two things that are tied together, jealousy and lust. She always longs to be the love interest of The Odinson, but is most of the time turned down by Thor who would rather Jane Foster or Sif the Warrior Goddess. Rejection is tough, and Amora knows it all too well from Thor.
The character description is WRONG, there are 2 DIFFERENT CHARACTERS with the name Enchantress, 1 from Marvel named AMORA The Enchantress and then there's The SCHIZOPHRENIC ENCHANTRESS from DC who appeared in the 2016 movie Suicide Squad
Absorbing man is more so a Hulk villain, although he was given his powers by Loki and first fought Thor
A monstrous looking beast who occasionally crosses paths with The God of Thunder, with Thor finding out he's up to something resulting in the two brawling out in battle. Mangog has worked alongside other villains that have faced off against Thor such as Loki, The Enchantress and even Thanos.
Kang is an Avengers & Fantastic 4 villain, only time Thor faces him is with the rest of The Avengers
