Top 10 Wings of Fire Jade Mountain Academy Students

YES MOON IS NUKBER 1! She is so sweet and kind, I can go on and on about why she is so great, it would never end.
In book six we already get to see her abilities when she reads her mothers mind. At first she's shy and is afraid if dragons would hate her. Who could blame her? They were new dragons, dragons that are complex. Also, she was bombarded by their minds, this never happened before because for most of her life she was alone in the rain forest. With no dragons around her she wouldn't hear anything. There is was peaceful at jade mountain, it was loud, VERY loud. Often she had to leave because of painful head aches, it was terrible to her! But as the book goes on she becomes better and better at controlling this. And now she had a voice to guide her! And even at the end, Tui found a way to leave us on the best cliff hanger I could ever imagine. Very happy that's she in 1st.

Turtle

Turtle is great. He is the only student who accepted Peril, and he was willing to go on an adventure with her and rescued her form the SkyWings. I also love how he is in love with Kinkajou, but doesn't take advantage of the time she was under a love spell and tells her she was wrong.

Turtle is one of my favourite characters, tied with Qibli. I love how scared he is about being noticed, and yet for Kinajou and Qibli he followed Darkstalker all that way and went to catch up with Anemone. Also, I love how he thinks about what character he would be if he was in one of his mother's scrolls.

Qibli

I love him and I ship him with Moon. Qibli in my opinion, is underrated. Sure you might say/think, "but he's the most loved character." Sure, still underrated. He saved the continent about two times and helped save Pantala. Plus he's charming, smart, and much more! However I disagree with people that say that he's a Gary Stu because look at his flaws too: insecure, worries a lot, sometimes under/overestimates dragons, ambitious. Qibli is a well-balanced character and is my second favorite. Plus his book was by far my favorite one in the series! Qibli is awesome and whoever thinks so should go suck a lemon. - Laurel

He is my second favorite character (number 1 being sunny). he is so funny and I love how he is always flirting with winter. Don't deny it winter you love him. I have a confession: I honestly wanted turtle to be the hero but after I read his book I changed my mind (but I still do kind of want turtle to save the world). Sorry this is so long.

Anemone

I know she gets a bunch of hate, but I really like her and think she's great. She adores her two sisters; she is worried about becoming evil, and she does what she thinks is right, even though it may not be. Yes, she's a bit of a brat, but I think it's just because she doesn't know any better. Also, I love how she likes Tamarin.

She is beautiful and I love her pink wings.
She is like Scourge from Warrior Cats. Anemone started off nice and non-killer then she became eViL
Scourge started off nice then he got bullied by his bully littermates and he went crazy and tried to get revenge aanndd he became a KILLER!

Peril

I have different feelings about Peril as stories unfolds. I thought Peril was dangerous and creepy at first, but as I knew more about her it turned out she was born a violent killer. People can change and dragons can as well. At the end of Escaping Peril she changed a lot. That is the most important part.
But an other side of me keeps thinking that Peril is annoying "Clay,Clay,Clay" "would Clay want me to do this?" I'm not really a "Cleril" fan, I think that Peril's astonishing development may be destroying the original Peril. I can't really figure out whether or not I like her.

Same with Winter, her development is awesome, how she went from the first chapter when she was Clay's worshipper that he didn't know about, to the final chapter, where she still looks for Clay's input, but makes more of her own choices. But she still is hopelessly in love with poor Clay. #clayissooblivious #perilpleasedon'tmurderme

Winter

Winter might currently be my favorite character. He is so conflicted and cool, no pun intended. Personally, I think he is so much more interesting of a character than Qibli. I think he is much better for Moonwatcher than Qibli. Also, Winter and Moon together made more sense than Moon and Qibli, because even after my rereads of the second arch, Qibli and Moon's partnership to find the person responsible for destroying the history cave was not really even sort of romantic. Also, the whole Qibli likes Moon too thing was not really even in the 6th Book. It was only a little in the seventh book. Winter was shown to be interested in Moon in the 6th book, and Qibli really was not. Basically, Winter is better than Qibli and deserves Moon, but I ship Winter and Lynx way more than Winter and Moon so I don't really care at all. - Mystery the Icewing Skywing hybrid.

Kinkajou

To be clear:
I hate Kinkajou. Sue me. I don't like how she's so young and pretty and all she does is be happy. Plus she's overrated. Sure she did a couple things in her life, but she has no real purpose in the series. I don't ship her with anyone but Turtle and not hardcore. She is pretty useless and could easily be killed off by the author. Plus she never had to go through anything but the NightWing prison when the others have had worse. She probably isn't being killed off because she's the author's favorite character, but I'm begging you Tui - just kill her off. She's useless and boring at this point.
Plus she never matures. And also, she's never getting a book - sorry people waiting for her to get one.

Tamarin

I love how she is blind, and yet she knows when other dragons make faces about her, and when they are just being kind to her face, and when they think she is weak.

She's blind come on people we need more blind dragons! She's awesome! ( I'm also counting Starflight as well he's awesome just the way he is even if he is blind.)

She's awesome, with how she pulled through her blindness, and just acted like a normal student just blew me away. #tamarinisawesome

Coconut

Honestly I don't like any of the Jade Academy students, they just all have a mid personality, you get what I'm saying? Anyway, Coconut is definitely a very dull character and one might even call him quite odd, but he's interesting in the way that he has no worries or fears or ambitions or anything much at all

I voted for coconut in hope of him toppling carnelian, who is grumpy and all she ever likes is fighting and killing, similar to burn.

What if the other papaya is boring too?

Ostrich

I like Ostrich. In my opinion, I think she's very underrated. She's very smart and considerate, and I really like how she just puts up with other dragons like it's no big deal.

She is so cute and innocent on the outside, but Moon described her to be smart. I think she has a personality really close to Kinkajou's, however.

Ostrich is super nice and is always in a good mood. She is kind of shy but mostly outgoing. She should definitely be top ten.

Carnelian

She is literally one of my favorite characters in the entire series. I love her attitude, and she is sometimes so relatable. I was devastated when she died, and I think she deserves a winglet.

Why does everyone miss carnelian? She is a grumpy old cow! When moon told her about the bomb, she ignored moon and ban! dead. suicide. Even if moon told her it was a prophecy, carnelian would say "I don't believe in prophecy nonsense" and then into the the cave and ban! dead.

I’m not sure why but I like Carnelian and I feel like she is probably a bit like Winter, just guarded and untrusting I believe this since she felt something like sympathy or maybe even kindness toward Umber after he said he fought in the war.. I can’t really explain why I like her apart form that though

Sora

Ok I know a lot of people are like 'Sora is horrible she tried to kill Icicle but ended up killing Carnelian and Bigtail and injuring Tamarin!' BUT let me say a few words in her defense: A crucial point that a lot of people are missing out on is that Icicle GRINNED when she killed Crane and saw Sora's devastated face. She GRINNED. Talk about insensitive! It said that Icicle was 'triumphant' and 'malicious'. Obviously it was wrong for Sora to set the bomb, but I can totally see why she did it. I mean, come on, Icicle, you did NOT have to GRIN when you killed Crane and knew that you hurt Sora because that is totally inhumane.

Sora is my favourite character. I like the big action when she blew up a cave, but I hope it didn't mean 'let's just kill'. I know she doesn't hehe. Despite MidWings are my least favourite tribe, Sora is the only MudWing who I like. Sorry for MudWing fans, but I don't like the other ones. I wish Sora was the smallest out of her troop, but I don't really mind it, since she's not the BigWings. Thanks!

I would just like to say that she did not deserve for Sora to try to kill her. I mean, it was a war! And they were fighting IceWings! I bet Sora killed some IceWings at one point in her life. And the rest of what Icicle did was justified by her wanting her brother back, after years of thinking he was dead. But that random NightWing she killed for no reason in the rainforest, I feel that was uncalled for.

I mean I know she's horrible and mean but come on she was completely raised like that and pressurized to be perfect by everyone, also she knew all her parents wanted for her was just to become queen. It seems like she really didn’t want to come to Jade Mountain, and plus Sora kept trying to kill her. I bet Sora killed a lot of IceWings in the war as well.

Umber

Umber was the first character to be revealed as LGBTQ+ in the books. Jambu was introduced earlier, but you don't learn he has a boyfriend until the fifteenth book.

He’s so sweet and I think he deserves more recognition, he was the first LBTQ dragon (well, to be revealed to be anyway) but no one realises that!

He is so brave I will admit it I love him

I won't say I liked him because that isn't true, but I was really suprised when he and carnelian died. I just wasn't expecting them to die, that's all! before then the only characters that we knew who died where kestrel and dune and the the two sandwing sisters that weren't blaze. I don't know why I was suprised by their death (we are talking about bigtail and carnelian again), I guess I thought they would be used more? I don't know.
