Everyone knows the 80's was probably the best decade for horrorr but you may be surprised by some individual years that started horror film renaissance's, reboots, and reinvention. The year the horror film had its wide theatrical or Straight-to-Home video release is the year it's included under. Also some films I included may be classified as Science Fiction or Fantasy but they all have elements of Horror so I included them.
