  1. Old SML was actually funny

    I agree. Junior Goes to Summer School was extremely funny, along with the Shrek videos. I liked My Milkshake Brings All the Boys to the Yard (I think it was Bowser's Depression). Chef Pee Pee sang that in the shower.

    Yes! The Blumpkin Button is honestly just unfunny. I really wish Marvin actually freed the Genie instead of wishing for another button when he promised to free him, just so SML could continue that joke.

    Now they try too hard. They make unfunny videos like Jeffy's Skibidi Toilet. Old SML had videos like Bowser Junior's Sick Pool Party that had actual funny jokes.

  2. Old SML was more family-friendly

    Of course, they made some inappropriate jokes here and there, but they aren't nearly as bad as the jokes in the newer videos.

  3. Jeffy was less annoying

    He moaned a lot in videos around 2020 or 2021. My cousins were taught by him to do the moaning. He wasn't in many videos, I think, and wasn't too bad in his debut.

    I still don't like him because of the F word he kept repeating (the one targeted at LGBTQ people). I think Mario said and taught him that word. I don't know, I can't remember. He also is a stereotype of autism.

    Jeffy was actually a funny character at times. Now he just constantly whines and just sits there and poops his pants.

  4. Old SML used Nintendo plushies, while New SML uses creepy, ugly puppets

    The plushies were so much better. Cody's puppet looks like a stereotypical nerd, Rosalina's looks so ugly, Mario looks a bit scary, and Bowser's looks the worst. Chef Pee Pee doesn't look too bad, and I think he has the only decent puppet design in SML.

    Agreed, though to be fair, I don't necessarily blame SML since they had no choice. Nintendo forced them to stop using the plushies that we all know and love.

  5. Junior is now a brat

    He was kind of a brat in older videos, but at least he was nice at times. Now he's just rude to everyone.

  7. Black Yoshi/Duggie is now a very annoying character

    My boy started off as a badass gangster but was then ruined by becoming a whiny and needy person who always says, "Mario, please!" to get what he wants.

    I can't stand to hear "Marvin, pleaaaaase!" one more time! At least Black Yoshi actually did stuff.

  8. There's no more Chompy

    I get that they got a cease and desist letter, but they replaced most of the Nintendo characters from old videos with puppets and used different names. But where did Chompy go? He just disappeared completely. They could have at least used a real dog. He was a cute character!

  9. Mario/Marvin doesn't do anything anymore

    He used to go on adventures and everything, but now he just sits there and watches TV.
