The Contenders: Page 5

81 Hugh Grant - Four Weddings and a Funeral

Simply one of the best comedic performances, yet so endearing at the same time. I can remember the exact moment I saw that movie, and I couldn't sleep the entire night, I was so mesmerized by Hugh. - kellygirl

82 Cuba Gooding Jr. - Boyz n the Hood
83 David Strathairn - Good Night, and Good Luck
84 Jim Carrey - The Truman Show

He proved that he can do things other than comedies.

85 Leonardo DiCaprio - J. Edgar

I get goosebumps every time I watch his acting!

86 Jesse Eisenberg - The Social Network
87 Joaquin Phoenix - The Master
88 Tom Hanks - Cast Away
89 Robert Mitchum - The Night of the Hunter

One of the scariest performance's I've ever seen!

90 Heath Ledger - The Dark Knight

I watch this movie every time it's on. The depth of emotion that Heath conveys with his face and the tone of his voice and few words is amazing and touching. You can feel his anguish. His understated but deeply moving portrayal was brilliant.. Though Phillip Seymour Hoffman was also very good in Capote, I think his skillful imitation of Capote still couldn't touch the tortured and brooding soul that Heath infused into the character of Ennis DelMar..

91 Michael Clarke Duncan - The Green Mile
92 Peter Sellers - Dr. Strangelove
93 Bradley Cooper - Silver Linings Playbook
94 Jamie Lee Curtis - Halloween

I'm sorry. I didn't want put Jamie Lee Curtis in this list, because this is just male perfomances and I didn't see the another list of the actresses perfomances that doesn't go from the oscars. So, if anyone can remove that recommended from this list I will be more greatful.

95 Donald Pleasence - Halloween
96 Sylvester Stallone - Creed Sylvester Stallone - Creed
97 Kate Winslet - Sense and Sensibility
98 Richard Burton - Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
99 Judi Dench - Mrs. Brown
100 Jack Lemmon - Some Like It Hot
