It got its own series on December 17, 1989 and is still running as of 2023, making it the longest running animated sitcom. It is about a man named Homer... read more People slag off newer Simpsons episodes, calling Homer a jerk, but you don't see that with Season 1. Homer is more serious. The animation is different, there's a different opening where Bart grabs the bus sign, and the people waiting chase after it. Why do they say Homer's first job was safety inspector when it was technical supervisor?
This should be number one.
People don't hate it now - they're just bored of it because it's been around for 30 years. How many cartoons have survived that long or even longer? This show will probably be around until either one of the voice actors of the family dies or if Matt dies.
2 South Park
South Park is an American adult animated sitcom created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone for the Comedy Central television network. The show is about four boys, who are Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, and Kenny McCormick, and their adventures in South Park, Colorado. It is without a doubt the funniest animated comedy ever. It's much more offensive than Family Guy, which used to be good but now, it's a little... you know. Don't get me wrong, I love The Simpsons, Futurama, and American Dad, but South Park owns them all.
This, Family Guy, and The Simpsons definitely deserve to be in the top three, but there are so many bad Family Guy and Simpsons episodes, and like two bad South Park episodes.
Every South Park episode is a classic.
What's funnier than South Park? Honestly, Eric Cartman, Kyle Broflovski, Kenny McCormick, and Stan Marsh make me laugh harder than anything else on this earth.
3 Family Guy
Family Guy is an American adult animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The series centers on the Griffins, a family consisting of parents Peter (Fat, Idiotic Dad) and Lois (Nagging Bitchy Wife), their children Meg (Socially Awkward Daughter) Chris (Fat, Idiotic... read more Family Guy is the best program ever. The best episode has got to be And Then There Were Fewer from series 10, but I also like Stewie Loves Lois. It's hilarious. Lois, Lois, Lois, Mom, Mom, and so on. WOW.
Family Guy is the best. The only reason people watched The Simpsons is because Family Guy didn't exist then, so they had nothing else to watch but that bull crap.
Not as good as American Dad, but still great.
4 Futurama
Futurama is an American animated science fiction sitcom created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company. This is the best show ever! I made this list before I became a member, and Futurama was #1, Family Guy was #2, and The Simpsons was #3!
I love this show. Everyone I know loves this show. Why it is not number one, and Family Guy is, I have no idea. I wish they would show it more on Comedy Central.
Of course, like everyone else, my favorite character is Leela.
Smart, funny, and original. It got canceled and came back. It only being fourth? Bite my shiny metal ass.
5 American Dad
American Dad! is an American adult animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane, Mike Barker, and Matt Weitzman for the Fox Broadcasting Company and currently on TBS. American Dad! is the first television series made to premiere on the network's Animation Domination block. The series premiered on February... read more The characters in American Dad are so much better than Family Guy. Personally, Roger is my favorite. Family Guy keeps cutting to flashbacks that aren't even that funny.
American Dad is by far the best show Seth has out.
Seth MacFarlane's best show by far. The characters are much more developed than in Family Guy, and the comedy is much more clever.
By far the best show around. Stan is way better than Peter, plus there are none of those stupid cutaway gags. Nothing compares.
6 King of the Hill
King of the Hill is an American animated sitcom created by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels that ran from January 12, 1997 to May 6, 2010 on Fox.
7 Robot Chicken
Robot Chicken is an American stop motion sketch comedy television series, created and executive produced by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich along with co-head writers Douglas Goldstein and Tom Root for Adult Swim. I think Robot Chicken is hilarious, but Family Guy beats it because some of Robot Chicken is bad. However, it is very pop-cultural and hilarious, especially when making fun of its competitors in the best ways.
Family Guy is terrible! This is much better. I'm tired of all these Fox and Comedy Central shows. One day, Adult Swim will become the superior channel!
8 Beavis and Butt-head
Beavis and Butt-Head is an American animated sitcom created and designed by Mike Judge. The series originated from Frog Baseball, a 1992 short film by Judge originally aired on Liquid Television. Way ahead of its time. A classic MTV show that can make you laugh just thinking about the expressions on Beavis and Butt-head's faces. I'm so glad it was brought back. This should be number one, if not, at least number three behind Family Guy and The Simpsons.
9 Archer
10 Bob's Burgers

The Contenders
11 Rick and Morty
Rick and Morty is an American adult animated science fiction sitcom created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon for Adult Swim. Only bettered by South Park. Not only does it poke fun at social conventions, but also at conventions of time, space, and perceptions of reality.
Definitely top 3 worthy. Seeing Rick and Morty at 13 on this list almost offended me.
This should be number one! Better than all the Fox shows!
12 Moral Orel
Moral Orel is an American adult stop-motion animated television show, which originally aired on Adult Swim from December 13, 2005 to December 18, 2008. It has been described as "Davey and Goliath...meets South Park". Okay, I love this.
Because it's sometimes true, I can say that. I'm a Christian, but really, some people can just go crazy enough to inhale a locust and be okay with it.
This show makes my day whenever I watch it.
