Top 10 Best JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Characters

The main character of part 2 and a important character in part 3 Joseph joestar is a very smart kind and powerful person. He defeated the ultimate life form by sending him to space (note part 2 takes place in world War 2) he mastered hamon a martial art that lets you harness sunlight like power (which later is forgotten after part 2 for stands... but it's still cool! ) He also is powerful with his stand from part 3 hermit purple which allows him to predict the future look for certain things by slamming it against a camera and even swinging around. He also is well know for guess what people will say exactly right before they say it.

Best personality of them all (In My opinion) And funny as well! He sticks out compared to the others, in battle he's charming, and smart funny as well with his "Your next line is..." Best Jojo In my opinion .

The reason he is the best jojo is because he is the opposite of Johnathan who always keeps his calm and is a noble and serious guy. Joseph is a Joke Cracking, future predicting intelligent badass

One of the few JoJo's to actually win fights due to strategy instead of some insanely overpowered stand.

A important supporting character in part three polnareff is one of the most developed characters of this arc. After his only living relative (his little sister) was murdered and...you know. He vowed revenge by using his stand silver chariot a knight like robot that Is fast enough to form afterimages and is also quite capable with its rapier sword. Polnareff is a smart fighter and quite clever BUT he is extremely hot headed because of this two othere friends of his died in the final battle trying to save him. But in the end polnareff is always willing to help his friends and of course avenge them!... (he also becomes disabled in part 5 but oh well)

I have to appreciate how his character is more complex than just being a brooding rebel (cough cough).

He's actually funny without being offensive or too crude.

Of course, there is nothing to say about that Cool, Awesome, Amazing, Fantastic, Badass Jojo. His nerves of steel add even more coolness to him. He is so smart also that he quickly figured a way to prove that the ship sailor (Imposter Captain Tennile) is an evil stand user. While all the crusaders didn't last except for only a couple of minutes in front of DIO, Jotaro DEFEATED DIO. When DIO asked him whether if he could see him during the stopped time or not Jotaro replied: "Who knows?" which added to his coolness level even more. What makes him even cooler is his quote: "Yare yare daze".

While Joseph is more charismatic on every level I have a tendency to like characters that are on the more silent side and jotaro, on top of that, has an almost unshakable calmness to him. His presence is much more dominant than that of the other JoJo's even reminding me of Madara Uchiha or Aizen but this time actually being the hero. His character design is amazing.

This is my favourite JoJo period. He has an amazing theme, incredible character development, more depth than even Joseph and Giorno, is both teacher and student and most iconic and active JoJo by a mile. I like his theme more than Giorno's (Hate me all you want) and believe than if anyone were to have a Requiem, it would most definitely be him.

Jotaro is cool and all (he's Jolyne's father, after all), but I disagree with the person who asserted that he's incredibly smart. He's had some good tricks here and there, but he mostly punches his way out of bad situations using brute strength. Jolyne and Joseph are the smarter/more wily Joestars.

Both the original villain of part one and he soon returns 100 or so years later in part 3 dio is a vampire who wants everything especially the world. Speaking of the world his stand can freeze time and actually able keep up with star platinum in a fist fight. He also has vampire powers like shooting Lazers out of his eyes and freezing his own limbs as well as others. He's cold hearted manipulatve deadly and more

In such a poorly written seires, Dio brings a somewhat fresh perspective. He appears as a slightly more complex character, though irredeemably evil and tropey. The distinction is that he has a sort of reason, and a tiny bit of development even. He's miles ahead of the other characters.

You thought a different character is going to be number 3. But it was I DIO!

Dio not only the best jojo character. He is also the best anime villain.

There was a time Jonathan had no one except Speedwagon and had to fight his brother. Speedwagon was originally a bad guy, but then became good, and was actually an amazing sidekick when you think about emotional support. I love how he was by Jonathan's side.

Why is this legend so low down in the list. Speedwagon is the greatest anime character of all time. Change my mind if you can!

The villain of part 4 Kira only wants two things in life. To live a peaceful life...and kill women. He is caculating and deadly his stand killer queen being able to blow up people he also was even able to steal someone's identity in a similar way to that one movie face off. He's not someone to be alone with

Probably one of the most compelling and diabolical villain concepts I have seen in any type of media. Also his stand is probably my favorite. Also he looks like muthafrickin David Bowie!

He has a huge collection of fingernails, is an amazing villain, has (in my opinion) the coolest stand from part 4 and keeps hands he took from women he killed... cause hands give him an erection...

Easily the best villain in the franchise.

A sweet, gentle young man with a strength of 10 men that acts like a true gentleman especially the 1st Joestar to start the series. He is considered boring by other people. But in my opinion, he was the one that made me so much adored into JJBA in the first place. Sorry but he should be one of the tops.

The very first joestar Jonathan was a gentlemen and a skilled user of hamon. He also made friends of enemies like josuke for example the Leader of a street gang named speedwagon. Sadly He was killed by dio and had his body stolen

Jonathan is such an honourable and nice young gentleman. Even after seemingly defeating Dio, he cried after killing him, which a normal man would be happy that such an evil person died. His death scene is so sad that me, a person who earely cries, actually cries. He was such a pure hearated person.

Because he is the only nobleman in the whole series (JK). Because he is the first Jojo and he always fought fair and square. Besides that, he was fighting Dio Brando (Phantom's Blood Antagonist) and Dio Brando was a beast-like creature.

Josuke isn't my favourite Jojo (Joseph beats him in entertainment) but I think he is by far the best overall. He has it all: kindness, loyalty to his friends, a great Stand and is a badass on top. He is one of the most three dimensional Jojos we have seen and generally a great person.

Josuke - he's got the power, the wit and a killer personality to boost. Josuke is the most well-balanced JoJo - having all the coolness of Jotaro, the sense of humor of Joseph and the good heart of Jonathan. Araki couldn't be anymore correct about Josuke being his favorite.

Jouske is the protagonist of part 4 and is the creators favorite character. He is a kind and relatable guy and actually makes friends with nose enemies He fights but he also can get quickly angry if someone makes fun of his pompedour hair He even sent some one to the hospital because they were foolish enough to make fun of his hair. His stand crazy diamond is also powerful being able to bring items and people to previous states it only not working on himself or dead people.

This character is very relatable. He may be kimd-hearted, strong and heroic bit this doesn't change the fact that he's a normal guy who wants to spend time with his friends and do normal things. He's a blend of kind, friendly, goofy, smart and irritable.

One of the smartest characters from JoJo. If it wasn't for Kakyoin, Dio would still be alive. Despite the fact that his emerald splash was kind of useless, Kakyoin's Hierophant Green had a number of useful abilities, which included possession, using paint to attack his enemies (which was only used against Jotaro and never seen again for some reason), and a couple others. That being said, Kakyoin should at least be in the top five

A perfect character. He is bold, intelligent but also light hearted. He hangs out with Jotaro, he isn't stubborn or closed off about his feelings, and he decided to abandon fear near the end of the series. This passions and drives allowed him to be fearless in front of Dio. DIO. He was also smart as hell. So he's fun, bold, and intelligent. Basically a JoJo that wasn't.

One of the five main characters of Stardust Crusaders. Not over the top goofy like Polnareff or Joseph, but not as aloof as Jotaro. Kakyoin is polite, handsome, smart, and has few comedic moments, but the ones he does, he hits out of the park. I will never forgive Hirohiko Araki or Dio for killing him off.

Kakyoin is my favorite character because even though he wasn't supposed to be part of this he chose to be part in it anyway and that part when his eyes got slashed he still wanted to help the others.

Come on. It's Jolyne. She's a combination of the best things about all the Jojos- she's got the heart of Jonathan, the bad assery of Jotaro, the temper of Josuke, and the perverted yet intelligent personality of Joseph. She's also got an awesome stand, which she uses in really clever ways. She's also got the best one liners.

It's a tie between Jolyne and Joseph for me--but since they're so similar in a lot of ways, I'm going to go with jolyne. She takes the badass factor
of Joseph to the extreme (and Stone Free is a cooler stand than Hermit Purple).

Because she is the daughter of Jotaro Kujo (The Most Badass Jojo) and she is so brave that she fights a godly powerful stand while she's only 19.

She's just an awesome woman. I kinda look up to her. She's beautiful and deserves a lot. Plus her father is Jotaro.

Because he is the main JoBro in Part 5 (That's a main thing of course) plus that he always wanted to do the best for his gang besides that, he was the only one and the youngest from "Passione" who had the courage to leave the mafia without the boss's permission.

Great character with a good personality and actual character development throughout part 5. Also Sticky Fingers' ability is pretty dope.

Never seen someone have the guts to lick Giorno like that.

He good because he licks people who lie and lying bad.

He's always described as being serene, calm, etc. His entire role is basically to be someone who is slightly ruthless, yet calm and methodical, giving his allies peace of mind and with that, the ability to overcome their problems. (Which contrasts with Diavolo, who is about as far from peace of mind as you can get) But that's the problem. Giorno, instead of being the traditional protagonist who has to struggle to achieve his goals and find strength within himself, helps OTHER people find strength within themselves to achieve, well, his goal. It's different, but makes him a bit static. He's confident in himself and has "peace of mind" from page one

Love how he shares traits with Jonathan and Dio, his way that he finished people are truly terrifying. Stuff like pushing Ghiaccio into a spike that formed on a pole, or sending someone into an infinite death loop with Gold Experience Requiem. Also Gold Experience is one of the coolest stands, as it's ability to create life to even heal it's user and other allies is kinda broken, kinda like Crazy Diamond, but it can heal it's user but Gold Experience doesn't get rid of pain.

The 5th joestar protagonist girino was born the son of dio after he had stole Jonathan joestars (the first protagonist) body in part 3 therefore makeing him a joestar. He is both kind and deadly due to being the son of dio and having Jonathans DNA (this is complicated and hard to explain without sounding weird) he is also determined to do one thing and that...Is to be a gangstar a combination of a gangster and a superstar! His stand golden experience can also create life like trees and animals! And golden experience requiem can prevent someone's fate including death which will make them die forever (brutal I know)

Because he is so calm and charming. He is also wielding one of the greatest stands (Gold Experience Requiem) and I LOVE HIS QUOTE: "Kono Giorno Giovanna ni yumi ga".

Gyro takes both character aspects of the pre-existing Zeppelis and nails it better than William and Caesar. He is a intelligent teacher for Johnny while also being his best friend. Additionally he has his own sense of humour and his motivations for entering the race proves his just mindset. He's entertaining, badass, smart, smug, supportive and also sometimes adorable which make him the best Jobro and one of the best Jojo characters and he deserves to be higher.

Gyro is seriously my favorite fictional character ever. Everything about him is perfect, from his overall look, to his stand, to his relationship with Johnny, to his tsundereness towards Hot Pants. I love Gyro.

Gyro is by far one of the most well constructed characters in the series. He is funny, he is powerful and overall a very charismatic figure which synergizes amazingly with johnny's more serious mood.

Oh my lord, I shipped this guy hard with Joseph. He may have been mean and harsh to him, but he loved him deep down. His death was so damn tragic.

Josephs best friend and fellow hamon user Cesar is the one who introduces Joseph to his future hamon teacher (and long lost mother) and together they train under lisa lisa. Though they originally didint got along they soon became close friends unfortunately when Cesar tried to his avenge his father by fighting one of the pillar man named wamuu He was killed by being crushed alive...ALSO HE HAS BUBBLE POWERS!

My current second favorite character. Will never beat Joseph Joestar as my first though.

This boy was the 2nd best Joestar in my opinion yet doesn't challenge Speedwagon.

At first few pages of him first appearing, I thought he is the kind of guy tricks other people to his own advantages. And that was completely what he was doing to Koichi, or even worse. He tricked him, used him and eventually slowly took parts of him literally. And Koichi being my favorite character in DIU so far, I hated him for his selfishness (I think it is appropriate to add that I thought he serves well as a minor antagonist considering I hated him).
That was until his speech about his manga work. As a fan of Bakuman and whole manga-creating community, I was moved by his dedication to bring quality work to his readers. I was moved by his opinion on what manga is. I don't doubt that Araki himself brought his own mangaka's determination by Rohan's creative character.
About his stand, well no words needed. Heaven's Gate, one of the most OP stand in JoJo Universe. But also, the most useful one in the real world.

At first I saw him as an anti-social, manga freak, who wears those gum wrappers on his head...and now he's my favourite! The way he draws, his snobby personality just makes me so intrigued.

Rohan is one of the most respectable stand user's in part 4, maybe even all of JoJo. He has a stand that I can only imagine losing to reality changing stands like GER or The World Over Heaven yet all rohan does is draw manga. What a guy

His level of character development is unparalleled. Johnny starts as "less than zero." He's a contemptuous man without a purpose. Over the coarse of Steel Ball Run he finds himself. His quote at the end sums in up perfectly (SPOILER)

"This is a story of revival. How I was literally able to start walking again... and thinking back, I was constantly praying the whole journey. Even this cross-continental race by horse was a journey of prayer. Praying for the weather tomorrow. Praying that when we wake up the next day there would be a road on land. Praying that we would have food and a place to sleep. Praying our campfire would light. And While these common things would repeat, prayer that my friend and horses would be okay. And we crossed each river one by one. Now... I have crossed the final river.

The protagonist of part 7 and the steel ball run universe counterpart of Jonathan joestar Johnny is a disabled horse rider with an ambition to stand up once again with the help of gyro zepeli even if he has to fight THE PRESIDENT OF AMERICA! He also has the strange power of shooting his own finger nails... I don't even know just roll with it.

A cripple that shoots his nails at people. Enough said.

Best JoJo! Even if I love Joseph, Johnny is my favorite!

Mista was probably the main reason I enjoyed part 5 as much as I did. His stand was very unique and he himself was an absolute beast in combat
