Top Ten Vocaloids with the Best Character Designs

Who do you think has the best character design? (Not voice!)
The Top Ten
1 IA IA is a humanoid persona voiced by a singing synthesizer application developed by 1st Place Co., Ltd., headquartered in Meguro, Japan. They use Yamaha Corporation's Vocaloid 3 singing synthesizer technology. Her voice is sampled by Lia.

Personally, I really don't like IA (Don't kill me, it's just a preference). But I'll be honest, I love her design. It's one of the best (if not the best) out there. She should be at the top of the list.

I like her design, but I just can't accept that she's pretty!

Look at her concepts. She is just perfect.

2 Miku Hatsune Hatsune Miku, sometimes referred to as Miku Hatsune, is a humanoid persona voiced by a singing synthesizer application developed by Crypton Future Media.

Hatsune Miku is a classic. She's really pretty with her turquoise twintails. In my opinion, she's just the most beautiful Vocaloid ever.

Miku-chan is actually the first Vocaloid I ever knew. She is going to be first in my heart no matter what!

A classic design. It's very cute and iconic!

3 Rin Kagamine Rin Kagamine is a female Vocaloid created by Crypton Future Media. She can be bought with her counterpart Len Kagamine. She is voiced by Asami Shimoda.

I love the matching sailor outfit she has with Len! They are the best! (Gumi number two and Miku number three).

Her design is cute and beautiful!

Meltdown, Kokoro, Melancholic, Electric Angel, Remote Control, Promise, Daughter of Evil, Here and There - the list is endless.

4 Megurine Luka Megurine Luka is a humanoid persona voiced by a singing synthesizer application developed by Crypton Future Media, headquartered in Sapporo, Japan.

Luka is beautiful. I am sick of Miku and all the Miku fans. Luka is beautiful. She has gorgeous pink hair, and her voice is realistic and completely amazing.

5 Gumi GUMI is a female Vocaloid created by Internet Co., Ltd. She is the most popular non-Crypton Vocaloid of all time. She is voiced by Megumi Nakajima.

It was hard not to vote for others, but I like her outfits in her songs, especially that cosplay song!

She looks extremely cute and positive.

I think her style is so original and peculiar. I love her and her songs! That's why I voted for her. But I still don't understand why she's 6th!

6 Len Kagamine Len Kagamine is a male Vocaloid created by Crypton Future Media. He is the most popular male Vocaloid of all time. He can be bought with his counterpart Rin Kagamine. He is voiced by Asami Shimoda.

All of his outfits are amazing, and he deserves a higher place! COME ON, PEOPLE! His Dream Eating Monochrome Baku outfit is seriously the best. He's the reason I'm gay.

Len is such an iconic little rat. Who wouldn't vote for him?

Why isn't Len in first place, followed by Rin?

7 Fukase Fukase, is a vocal developed and distributed by Yamaha Corporation for Vocaloid 4. He is voiced by Satoshi Fukase, the lead singer of the Japanese band, SEKAI NO OWARI.

His clown outfit is so interesting! The use of red and white colors gives contrast. The fact that he uses a skirt and still rocks it - he's perfect!

Fukase's design looks downright amazing! It looks creepy and cool at the same time, which is a perfect mix for this boy.

Listen, Fukase looks so damn cool! His design is very unique, and he's an amazing Vocaloid! His songs are also amazing!

8 Flower
9 OLIVER

Cute. All about his design gives off a calm and mysterious feeling that contrasts perfectly with his music.

Oliver is a great little boy! His design is interesting, and his little bird is adorable.

I like how cursed you can make him, even though his design is this cute.

10 Kamui Gakupo Gackpoid, is a software product developed by Internet Co., Ltd. for the Vocaloid software. His voice is sampled from Japanese singer and actor Gackt. The mascot of the software is called Camui Gackpo, after Gackt's alias name.

My favorite Vocaloid by far! He is so handsome!

The Contenders
11 Kaito KAITO is a humanoid persona voiced by a singing synthesizer application developed by Yamaha Corporation using their new Vocaloid singing synthesizer technology under the codename of "Taro".

I voted for KAITO because he is just a downright amazing Vocaloid! KAITO is unique, just like another Vocaloid. His design is cool because how in the world does this guy wear a scarf all the time?! Dedication to wearing something you love sure is great, just like this ice cream-loving Vocaloid!

Kaito-Kun is my all-time favorite Vocaloid. I respect people who still consider him to be a failure, but in my eyes, he is attractive in every sense of the word.

12 Mayu MAYU is a female Vocaloid created by EXIT TUNES Co., Ltd. She generally has mixed reception. She is voiced by Mayumi Morinaga.

You expect me not to vote for the goth lolita girl with pastel rainbow ombre in the back? Hmm, I don't think Top Tens uses search data.

13 SeeU
14 Yuzuki Yukari
15 Utatane Piko Utatane Piko is a Japanese speaking Vocaloid by Sony Entertainment for Vocaloid 2. He is based on the Japanese singer Piko.

I researched him a lot on the internet. To this day, I still do. I knew of his existence for three months before finding out that his adorable design was actually based on a guitar. I thought, "That's cool!"

Then I clicked on the picture of the guitar and started laughing really hard because he looks like a guitar. He has a unique, feminine, and overall absolutely adorable design. His eyes are gorgeous.

I love the fact that he has a USB drive as a tail. His "blink blinks" match his eyes. He has blink blinks everywhere - on his headphones, his dress, his pants, and his shoes (which are heeled, by the way, in case you didn't notice).

And his ahoge is so cute! I love his sleeves too. I like to imagine him being like, "flap flap!"

16 Akari Kizuna
17 Una Otomachi

She is the most beautiful Vocaloid with her skirt overalls, massive dark blue hair, cute hat, and rod!

She's not my favorite overall, except for her design. She looks like some kind of water goddess! She's really cute.

18 Meiko MEIKO is a humanoid persona voiced by a singing synthesizer application called Vocaloid developed by Yamaha Corporation.
19 Meika Hime
20 Rana Rana is a Japanese VOCALOID originally developed by We've Inc. in collaboration with Internet Co., Ltd. and was released for the VOCALOID3 engine in September 2014. Her VOCALOID4 update was developed by We've Inc. and distributed by YAMAHA in December 2015. She is voiced by Ai Kakuma (加隈亜衣;... read more
21 Maika

She looks really cute and magical. She looks like a giant fairy.

22 MEIKA Mikoto
23 Iroha Nekomura
24 Kokone Kokone (心響), whose name means "Heart Sound" in Japanese, is a Vocaloid 3 vocal released by Internet Co., Ltd..
25 Lapis Aoki

I like her official art done by Carnelian, I think.
