The Top Ten

1 Recovery - Eminem Recovery - Eminem

Eminem's comeback and does really well, just a shame the collaborations were bad.

Not only best rap album of the year... It is best selling album of the year!

He is the reason the world had to show more respect to rap. Even at 38 he hits it hard and sad to say, the best rappers are seemingly about to retire. From Eminem and Jay-Z we've come to B.O. B, Nelly and Whiz Khalifa. Hopefully Em will do another 5-10 years before calling quits.

Why is this even this even on the list

2 My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy - Kanye West My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy - Kanye West

This remains one of the best hip-hop albums of the past 10 years. Production wise the album is flawless and for someone to have so many features on an album and for it still to be this good is very rare
There must be a lot of stans that visit this site to have voted Eminem into the top 5 albums of 2010, let alone first place by a 10% margin

this should definitely be heard by all true hip hop fans, I thought that kanye west was dead until I heard this album - 2pacisalive09

The rolling Stones magazine rated this the greatest album of 2010, not Rap/Hip-Hop, I am talking about everything

I think it's blasphemous that Recovery is rated as a better album than MBDTF on here. MBDTF is genius production-wise, combining strings, soul samples, guitars, and other elements of production, and truly cinematic composition to create a very grandiose album without ever feeling overwhelming. Lyrically Kanye can come off as corny sometimes on here but the subject matters and flow are very interesting here. Recovery, on the other hand, was a decent at best album that showcased Eminem, once called one of the best rappers of all time, selling out with horrible pop songs like "Not Afraid" and "Love the Way You Lie" with bad mainstream beats and corny punchlines. I guess the content on there was OK but it got repetitive. I just don't see how Recovery is a better album than My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, sorry Eminem stans. MBDTF was probably the best hip hop album of 2010, even though I think To Pimp a Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar has surpassed it this year.

8 Man On the Moon, Vol. II: The Legend of Mr. Rager - Kid Cudi Man On the Moon, Vol. II: The Legend of Mr. Rager - Kid Cudi

A lot of people like to hate on cudi because they don't understand his music. But he doesn't make music for everybody he makes for him and the fans that are just like him. On this album he pushed the envelope on how far he could go it was more genre bending and his lyrics were even realer.
