Oh my god, Hitler is #1... Hitler has done many bad things in history why best politician. This guy in the other hand was a great politician and was married to another great first lady, Eleanor Roosevelt! He did good things at the time. Why Hitler? Hitler was a bad person, this guy deserves better.

He was a pretty good leader, but far from the best. He was very discriminatory toward Japanese Americans, putting many of them in internment camps, which provided poor living conditions

Hitler was a man against Time itself. He was the manifestation of resistance against a dying Era and Cycle and stood as the beacon of light in a sea of darkness. But speaking more clearly: Hitler revitalized the German nation and allowed them to stand back up to the bully Allies who were attempting to silence any opposition to their plans of world domination. Hitler, a young Corporal who had seen the horrors first hand of World War 1 saw what the so called "Liberators" did to his nation and people.

His story is something out of Lord of the Rings. A young artist, survivor of war, a hero on his quest... he rises to the top despite all this opposition against him from the combined forces of Communists and Capitalists (same people) and was able to make the last great stand in this Epoch against the very nature of Time. There are few leaders who could pull this kind of revolution off, but Hitler was able to do it by his own will and determination. He stands above the rest: A warrior ...more

Struggling underdog artist and war hero who rose out of poverty to successfully run for office and inspire hope in millions who hailed him as a hero and champion for human rights. He improved the economic situation of a depression era Germany and promised to overthrow the corrupt banking establishment as well as expand borders for increased access to resources. He succeeded in both of these goals. Was firmly conservative and was fiercely patriotic. Despite putting his people first and foremost, and despite revisionist lies spewed by the globalist press, he showed racial tolerance by allying with minority countries such as the Japanese and Iran, and even Gandhi sent a letter of admiration to the Fuhrer himself. Only lost because he was betrayed by capitalist and communist powers controlled by international bankers. He is known today as perpetuating the Holocaust, but then again the US had Japanese internment camps, the British had an apartheid state in India, and the Russians killed ...more

I can understand why some people are wondering why he is at #1 spot on this list. Let me explain:- The purpose of this list is to find out who is the "best politician of all time". Not the most "kind-hearted politician" or the most "humble politician". The criteria of the list is based on who has achieved more accomplishments as a politician. The accomplishments can be righteous or evil in nature. It doesn't matter. Any sort of accomplishments fits the criteria of this list. In this case, Hitler has accomplished things more than any other politician on this list. He came from rising above poverty to becoming the most powerful on Earth at a time.

Sure, most of his accomplishments were evil and cruel in nature. But that doesn't matter for the criteria for this list. He is #1 because he has accomplished more than any other politician on this list.

He took a nation that was ravaged by WW1, occupied by France, and experiencing one of the worst economic catastrophes in history and made it a world power able to take on every other major European country at once in the span of less than 10 years. No matter what evil he did, it is undeniable that he is the single most influential man in the last 100 years, if not much, much longer. Without Hitler, Europe may have fallen to communism, the rocket may not have been invented, and nuclear power may never have been harnessed. For better or worse, his legacy will most likely last longer than any other leader of the modern age.

4 Winston Churchill Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill was a British statesman who was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 and again from 1951 to 1955. Churchill was also an officer in the British Army, a historian, and a writer.

Few leaders or people have taken the risks he did, demonstrated true courage and inspired a world of terrified war-broken people to carry on fighting against an unspeakably tyrannical enemy

Stood against world's most dangerous man.

He would never surrender

He saved the free world!

5 Nelson Mandela Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary, politician, and philanthropist, who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. Prior to his presidency, he was the 33rd Governor of California from 1967 to 1975, following a career as a Hollywood actor and union leader until his death in 2004

8 Vladimir Lenin Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, better known by the alias Lenin, was a Russian communist revolutionary, politician, and political theorist.

The greatest leader ever. He made a new ideology supporting and giving a chance to the most poor people. He took the power just as his own project. He won the Civil war in Russia, made peace with Germany, and built an absolutely new state, the first in the world history giving equal attention to all people. He wrote heaps of works on policy, economics, philosophy.

Built superpower from agricultural hell hole. Worker's rights like 8 hour work day or 30 days vacation - are results of his work.

He created power for the people by himself and thus created his own leadership. Others were voted in. He made it.

Would vote Stalin, but somehow it's not an option here.

9 Augustus Caesar

Augustus Caesar was an astute political operator and skilled administration, he turned Rome from a city of bricks to one of marble and left an indelible stamp on the Roman, and by extension the Western, world. While not the most proficient military commander and lacking somewhat in empathy and compassion, he had no use of these traits, as he would delegate these tasks that he was weakest in to those who were strongest in them, as shown by his life long partnership with the general Agrippa, that is the mark of a truly great statesman, knowing what burdens it is practical to bear and those which are better suited for men of a different nature. But when it comes to sheer political skill and mastery, Augustus deserves the number 1 spot.

As Machiavelli said, "It is far better to be feared than loved." Augustus was one of the very few rulers/politicians who have managed to successfully be both feared and loved. Thus his position as ruler of Rome was always on solid ground.

Caesar was arguably one of the best politicians and military leaders of all time. He managed to outmaneuver the senate multiple times, and often came out on top in political conflicts.

22 Vladimir Putin Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has been the President of Russia since 7 May 2012, succeeding Dmitry Medvedev. He was also President from 2000-2008.

I'm Russian! I support Putin because he is a true leader! The country he inherited from his predecessor Boris Yeltsin was absolutely broke, degrading, torn apart by war and economic crisis. Look at Russia now! It's 6th largest economy in the world (according to CIA fact book). I'm well aware of how western propaganda is trying to demonize Putin and to make him look like an new Hitler, but they fail constantly. It's Russian mentality - "if the west is scolding us - we do everything right"

He builds up Russia again and Usa wants to destroy it...
Putin thinks for his citizens

Mother Russia will remember Vladimir Vladimirovich for generations to come!

I am not Russian but Putin support!
