The Contenders: Page 5

81 Tsubasa Chronicles

This manga is just great, so I can't understand why it's placed at 77th!

Awesome! Lots of action!

82 Buso Renkin

Call me a hipster if you want.

83 UQ Holder

Great characters and story. Also cool fighting scenes!

Great battle theme manga. Sequel of Magister Negi Magi.
Some say this is what the writer want from previous series, to focus on battle instead of ecchi stuff.

86 Toradora! Toradora! Toradora! is a series of Japanese light novels written by Yuyuko Takemiya, with illustrations by Yasu. It received an anime adaptation directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai and produced by J.C.Staff that ran from 2008-2009.

A shonen/shoujo that is hilarious

88 Shigatsu wa Feels no Uso Shigatsu wa Feels no Uso
89 Zatch Bell Zatch Bell

This is my favourite series to be honest. I started it when I was a lot younger, but as I got older it did not feel as though it was one of those terrible anime that you hate as you get older like some, but rather, stayed with me. I have actually watched it a few times. I enjoy it each and every time I watch it. Great series. (Only watch the Japanese version though. The English version kind of died mid season. In Japanese it is Konjiki no Gash Bell)

It's really funny, heart moving, epic and it makes you cry at times.

Really fun story to follow. It feels like in the game, like Pokemon. Battle, gain experience, and obtain new skill in the book. Show some epic battle too.

Really a good series. Zatch Bell is very good. It is a mixture of war, friendship, love, emotion, etc.

90 JoJo's Bizarre Adventure JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is an anime and manga franchise originally written by Hirohiko Araki. It centers around the perilous journey of the members of the legendary Joestar bloodline.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is the best shounen manga of all time. It's in 8 parts-each with a different setting/genre surrounding the battle theme and starring a different protagonist in the same family. It is a trope buster and super original. Way better than things like Naruto and Bleach.

The best and the most epic Shounen in my opinion. Much better than other overrated ones.

The amount of manliness on this anime combined with the perfect mix of comedy and tension makes it one of the most enjoyable experiences in manga history

One of the most underrated shonens of all time in the west. Better than fairy tail, one piece, naruto, or any other series that comes to mind worth watching/reading

91 Hamatora

One of the best anime of 2014. a LITTLE BIT OF TRAGEDY, MySTERY, ACTION... No superness though (If you know what I mean) A must watch of 2014 with a promising second season coming up!

92 Black Cat

An excellent shonen with endearing characters and excellent drawings. Train Heartnet is a reformed assassin with a vow not to kill and the determination to live his own life as a "stray cat". He is haunted by his past sins and former enemies and comrades but he sticks true to his new life and ideals. He is light and funny, but also deep and knowledgeable. His book smarts aren't up to par, but he's king on the street and on the battlefield.

His companions have their own troubles and difficult pasts. Sven and Eve are loyal to Train and simultaneously tease and gang up on him. They are his family.

The villain is endearing in his own way. One grows to hate him with a passion, feeling loathing for Creed when Train feels that way. One cheers Train on and urges him to fight.

The characters are deep and alive. The imagery is detailed and excellent, and the plot exciting. A great manga that everyone should read.

This is a really good anime. It has awesome characters and good art. One of my favorites. Go Train Heartnet!

I heard about the series so I started reading it. but once I started I couldn't stop. one of the best manga I've ever read - Ashirogi

This manga is awesome!

94 Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist

95 Yu-Gi-Oh: Millennium World

SHOULD BE HIGHER RATED! Yu-Gi-Oh! DM is amazing so is this movie! I suggest watching the actual anime before watching the movie to understand it, at least season 0. YES THERE IS A SEASON 0! NOT MAKING IT UP!

96 Boku No Hero Academia Boku No Hero Academia

It is a great shonen that just started but it really has a lot of potential
It is about a boy who has no superpower in a world full of superpowers but still wants to be a hero
This show has a great cast of characters and the main character is very likable
It is truly an incredible manga and I believe this will be the next huge shonen
It is a MUST read

Smart protagonist and amazing story; should definitely be ranked higher.

The series is new but already has a great cast of characters.

I binged the 2 seasons currently out and need more of this!

It's a relatively new series that is well worth getting into.

Reminds me of the good parts of Naruto.

99 Code Geass Code Geass Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, often referred to as simply Code Geass, is a Japanese anime series created by Sunrise, directed by Gorō Taniguchi, and written by Ichirō Ōkouchi, with original character designs by manga authors Clamp.

Excellent story line with great characters. And the power of the Geass trumps everythig with a will short of resurrection. Lelouch Lamperfouge (or Lelouch vi Britannia) is a realistic character who, unlike most shounen characters, trumps people with his intellect, not his brawn or emotions. It has food for thought on whether we should fight fire with fire, evil with evil, or should we merely surrender to evil. Excellent character development and plots and schemes that rival and, in places, surpass Death Note's. Intellectual, but unlike Death Note, it has plenty of badass fight scenes.

The best should be among the top word for it AWESOME!...

I've never actually watched this.

100 Ashita no Joe

Great boxing anime classic. Criminally overlooked today but that's probably because the anime has never been officially licensed outside of Japan.
