Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen

Compared to Stairway to Heaven, which is number 1 on this list, Bohemian Rhapsody is a much greater example of rock at it's best. It pushed the boundaries of music to there fullest and did things never seen before or since. Whilst Stairway to Heaven only makes great what's come before and wasn't even released as a single! Both songs are sensational but can we really doubt the the quality of music and how sensational Bohemian Rhapsody really is. It is the GREATEST ROCK SONG OF ALL TIME.

Rock music is not only about heavy music, its also about variations it uses, story it tells, and Bohemian Rhapsody is like Symphony number 9 of Beethoven (if you know what I mean). So this starts with slow soothing piano solo, amazing vocal, opera like signing patterns, amazing guitar solo, outstanding lyrics, A story which will never get old. This Rhapsody should be number one rock song of all times.

This song (in my opinion) is the best rock song out there. Brian May on guitar giving it that special sound and just the right tone at just the right time really gave this song a major push on the bar of what a guitarist should be like. Freddie Mercury Is one of, if not, the best singer not only in the Rock community, but in the singing community in general. the overall tone of the song is great, pulling all of Queen's styles and crunching it together to make a beautiful song, and it really pushed what a rock band really is.

Stairway was in fact stolen from "taurus" by spirit. Just consider that before you vote it as the best song ever. And the fact that they took Dazed and Confused as well. Queen took recording to a new height with this song and should be number one. All the vocals, although sounding like a full chorus were in fact only contributed by the band itself. Not bad eh?

Stairway wins hands down, but Bohemian Rhapsody easily takes Second. Behind those two songs, there is simply no comparison. The sheer complexity interwoven with the lyrical themes as well as the progressive style make these two songs seem as though God reached down and touched Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and Freddy Mercury for the few moments that they recorded these songs.

"Bohemian Rhapsody" represents the ultimate in genius. Only "Somebody to Love", another classic from Queen (which should tell you how gifted Queen is), has such a pure operatic brilliance that it's pretty amazing that only four band members could create such a sound. Stairway to Heaven is a classic but "Bohemian" is a masterpiece.

Don't get me wrong, Stairway to Heaven is a great song, but Bohemian Rhapsody trumps all other rock songs by a long shot. This is by far the most unique and daring compositions Queen, or any band for that matter, has ever produced. The lyrics, vocals, and instrumental are far superior to Stairway to Heaven. It should definitely be #1.

Bohemian rhapsody is our gold! No one can deny it with the mixture of Freddie mercury's phenomenal vocals (which is one of the best ever I might add), Brian may's awesomely amazing guitar skills, Roger Taylor's fantastic drumming, and John deacons excellent bass playing how could you go wrong with this song. Queen forever!

The best vocalist in history, multiple style that give the song something unique, some of the most recognizable lines in music history, amazing guitar solo.

Maybe the instrumental isn't as good as stairway, but the vocals of Bohemian are in a league of their own which make it better than stairway (who should still be #2)

There's no contender when it comes to Bohemian Rhapsody. I mean, it's not my FAVORITE song, but I really do still LOVE it like every other Queen song, and it DOES deserve to be Number 1. Or any position higher than '4'. Ugh.
I'd like to thank God for sending Freddie down from heaven.

As much as I love stairway to heaven I think bohemian rhapsody should top this list, and no freddy is not the only good performer in the band the guitarist is amazing, ever heard brighton rock and the drummer has a high voice. This song is an absolute masterpiece, very catchy and imaginative

This song consists of several sections: a ballad segment ending with a guitar solo, an operatic passage, and a hard rock section. At the time, it was the most expensive single ever made and it remains one of the most elaborate recordings in popular music history.

No other classic rock song could ever compete with Bohemian Rhapsody. Stairway To Heaven should be somewhere down the list. It's not in the same league, nor is any other classic rock song, and it was composed by Freddie Mercury, the greatest rock singer of all time.

The artistry in this song and the variation in the sounds found in this song along with the fact that Queen is a great band make this awesome! All the songs on this list are great with great bands, but the top of the list is reserved for classic rock royalty.

I love the song almost above ALL Queen songs. It isn't my favorite, but I love it a lot. But one thing about this list is that most of it is the most popular. Like the person from Facebook had said, popular doesn't mean greatest. And it's also all a matter of opinion!

I love this song! Love it! Don't you? This should be the top song ever played of classic rock. The best vocals ever. What do you think about it? What do you thing the best of the group is? I am not sure. VOTE THIS! VOTE THIS! VOTE THIS! AWESOME SONG EVER RIGHT HERE!

No other song combines styles so perfectly. The way it changes, but is still so balanced, is magnificent. Queen could pull off nearly any genre of music beautifully. That's the reason that they are still so popular. - ObsessedwFreddie

Bohemian Rhapsody, is by far the greatest rock song ever composed. Not only is a musical masterpiece, but an inspiration to all generations of rock music to come. It sets music as a form of art, and pushes the boundaries of what music is and can be.

It's the most awesome rock song I've ever herd in my whole entire life. I would strongly recommend this to maybe hmm... Any one in the whole entire world that has ears that work properly and to people that actually know epic music when they hear it!

The best song ever written, because it breaks all the laws or rules of music, yet doesn't sound like it was pulled out of nowhere. This song will forever leave me in awe at its brilliance.

This is song is the best. It's Queen's masterpiece, and truly unique from other rock songs of its time. The composition of the song is so complex, but all together, Bohemian Rhapsody is simply amazing.

This is the best song after Stairway to heaven. It succumbs almost every genre into a 6 minute masterpiece. With all comes Freddie Mercury's vocals. From ballad to operatic rock this song has everything for a music lover.

This song is quite good. I will always like Under Pressure more, but this is a close second to that. The vocals are really what makes this piece. The operatic section about halfway through really shows the range of vocals that Freddie Mercury had. The guitar is also excellent, and the solo is one of the best ever. It should be slightly lower on this list. -JimiPage

This song is by far the best classic rock song in my opinion. It has amazing vocals and the style is just so unique and intriguing. It's impossible to listen to this and not want to sing along!

In my opinion this song beats all the others in originality, it was brilliant by Freddy Mercury to mix opera and rock and make it sound awesome, it's been an inspiration to the next generations. Number one for me.
