Top 10 Best Duos in Animated Disney Movies

Animated Disney movies have given us some of the most unforgettable partnerships of all time. These dynamic duos bring heart, humor, and unforgettable moments to the stories we love. Some of them are the best of friends, while others have a more… unique way of working together. Whether they're saving the day, cracking jokes, or learning important lessons, these pairs make every scene they're in more exciting, hilarious, or heartfelt.
The Top Ten
Aladdin and Genie (Aladdin)

Aladdin and Genie are such a hilarious duo! These two first met in the Cave of Wonders after Aladdin rubbed a magic lamp, causing Genie to come out. Even though he's a genie and is forced to grant three wishes to whomever holds the lamp, Aladdin and Genie ended up becoming best friends. Aladdin promised Genie that he would use his last wish to set him free, which he ended up doing. This shows that Aladdin really cares for Genie.

The excellent performances by Scott Weinger and Robin Williams really make us feel their friendship! Another reason why Aladdin is one of the best Disney movies ever!

Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps (Zootopia)

Was there ever any doubt that Zootopia would win the Golden Globe? Of course, there was because Kubo was also nominated, and that movie is better, in my opinion! But at least Kubo lost to THIS movie!

The best thing about this movie is Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps! They make such a great team! Who knew that a fox and a rabbit would become friends? Nick was basically forced to help Judy solve the case of a missing otter, but along the way, they get to know each other and understand each other's problems. At the end, Nick also becomes a cop so they can work together!

I really want to see a TV show about these two if we don't get a sequel!

Timon and Pumbaa (The Lion King)

Hakuna Matata! Timon and Pumbaa make such a hilarious duo! These two give The Lion King the right kind of humor it needs! And they act like great parents for Simba. So does that make them a gay couple? Anyway, we get to see more of their friendship in The Lion King 1½. We even see how they first met.

They always have each other's back when one of them is in trouble! Such a great pair!

Yzma and Kronk (The Emperor's New Groove)

By far, the best villainous duo in any movie ever! These two really stand out as hilarious villains! They're my favorite thing about The Emperor's New Groove. Yzma is the mastermind who comes up with the evil plans, while Kronk helps out in hilarious ways!

This is a very hilarious pairing, and Eartha Kitt and Patrick Warburton really have a lot of fun voicing these characters! I still crack up at the "pull the lever" scene!

Lilo and Stitch (Lilo & Stitch)

Lilo lived a very lonely and boring life with her sister Nani. But then her life changed when she met Stitch! This led to her finally making a friend, and they went on adventures together! In the first movie, Lilo teaches Stitch how to be a "model citizen." She has problems while doing this, but she didn't give up on him! They occasionally get into fights, especially in Lilo & Stitch 2, but they are still very great friends!

Ralph and Vanellope (Wreck-It Ralph)

Ralph and Vanellope are characters from two different arcade games who hated each other at first but then ended up becoming friends while Ralph helps Vanellope win a race! Their relationship works very well because they were both treated poorly in their own games, so they have something in common! Sure, there was the scene where Ralph destroys Vanellope's race car, but he only did that to protect her. He really cared about her.

They are perfect as friends! Can't wait to see more of them in next year's sequel!

Woody and Buzz Lightyear (Toy Story)
Moana and Maui (Moana)

Auli'I Cravalho and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson make such an excellent team! Moana forces Maui to travel across the sea with her to restore the heart of Te Fiti. They didn't really like each other at first, but along the way, they became friends. Something they both have in common is that they're both trying to accept their identities.

My only problem with this duo, however, is the scene where they argue after Maui's hook gets cracked. In my opinion, that's the worst scene in the movie. But I still think Moana and Maui work well together!

Sebastian and Flounder (The Little Mermaid)

Basically, every character in this movie is likeable! Except for Ariel! My two favorite characters in The Little Mermaid are Sebastian and Flounder. They're both Ariel's sidekicks, and yes, I count them as a duo since they are seen together a lot.

I feel like without Flounder, Sebastian wouldn't be as likeable. Sebastian can be seen as mean at times, while Flounder is really nice! So it balances! They are great characters! Unlike Ariel!

Belle and the Beast (Beauty and the Beast)
The Contenders
Rapunzel and Pascal (Tangled)

It must be difficult living in a tower all alone with no one to talk to. Good thing Rapunzel has Pascal! If Pascal wasn't there, then Rapunzel wouldn't have anyone to share her thoughts with while Gothel is away! It would be awkward if she was talking to herself the entire time. So it's a good thing Pascal is her friend! And he's also very helpful! Chameleons are awesome!

Dumbo and Timothy Q. Mouse (Dumbo)
Lightning McQueen and Mater (Cars)

Lightning McQueen and Mater are such good friends! If Lightning hadn't accidentally ended up in Radiator Springs, he wouldn't have met Mater. Their friendship feels very realistic, which is ironic since they're cars. This is something that Pixar does best.

Cars is an alright movie, but Lightning and Mater are very enjoyable as a great duo! As for Cars 2, well, I'm planning on making a worst Disney animated movie duos list, so... yeah! That's not my next list, by the way. I'll probably do it next month or something.

Duchess and Thomas O'Malley (The Aristocats)
Tod and Copper (The Fox and the Hound)

Oliver and Dodger (Oliver & Company)
