Top Ten Ways Tests Are Stupid

My biggest complaint about tests is easily that I am no longer graded on how well I know what I learned, but on how well I can perform on a one-time test. I can convey otherwise that I know this material, and I often have arbitrary points taken off on tests even when the teacher knew I knew what I was talking about.

So true for math tests! And yes, there are teachers out there, that, even if you show work on the question, they won't give you credit because you didn't do it "their way".

If your teacher is narrow-minded, you can't help it but have a heated fight with the teacher forever.

I mean, sometimes, you have to turn them in a bin so that the teacher can grade them. That’s technically showing your work too.
