Top 10 Jacksonville Jaguars Players Going Into the 2026-27 NFL Season

The Jaguars had a resurgent season last year under first-year head coach Liam Coen. What a difference a new coach makes, right? They narrowly lost to the Bills in the playoffs, but now they'll look to build on that success.

I have to say that I honestly wasn't a fan of their draft class this year. Maybe I'm wrong, but I see a step-back season coming for Duval.

1. Trevor Lawrence

   

   Who knew a coaching change is all it takes to unlock his true potential? Trevor Lawrence in 2025 looked like himself again. He is incredibly poised with a good arm and good rushing ability he threw for over 4,000 yards leading the Jags to a 13-4 record with 29 touchdowns to 12 picks. He played arguably his best football in 2025 and the Jags had their best season since "Sacksonville" was a thing. He may not be elite but keep in mind up until last season the organization did him no favors whatsoever. I think now we are finally seeing him play like he was advertised when he was at Clemson.

2. Josh Hines-Allen

   

   Josh Hines Allen is the leader of the Jaguars defense. He's an elite EDGE rusher and has been one of the best defensive players in Jaguars history since he was drafted in 2019. He's another one of those guys who never seems to get the recognition he deserves he has a high pressure rate and has had at least 8 sacks in the last 3 years. PFF gave him an 86.8 grade ranking 6th best among Edge Defenders

3. Travon Walker

   

   Travon Walker is solid but not necessarily the elite player he was expected to be as a former #1 overall draft pick. In hindsight he probably wasn't worth the #1 overall pick because so far he hasn't lived up to expectations however that doesn't mean he isn't good. He compliments Josh Hines Allen very well and is an excellent run defender. 2025 was a bit of a down year but I expect him to bounce back to 2024 form this coming season

4. Bhayshul Tuten

   With no Travis Etienne anymore that opens the door for Bhayshul Tuten to be the primary running back in Liam Coen's offense. He's relatively unproven going into his second year he was a 4th round draft pick in 2025 last season he had 83 rushing attempts for 307 yards and 5 touchdowns in 15 games played. Now I expect him to have a much bigger year now that he's been handed the keys to the primary running back role

5. Foyesade Oluokun

   

   People often overlook Foyesade Oluokun but he's quietly been one of the better linebackers in the league and nobody talks about it he led the league in tackles in 2022 and 2023 yet he doesn't have any awards or honors he deserves. He's a consistent and reliable linebacker he finished 2025 with 143 tackles (69 solo tackles) 11 pass deflections 5 tackles for loss 1 sack and 1 interception. It surprises me how little recognition he gets league wide. Put some respect on this man's name

6. Brian Thomas Jr.

   

7. Travis Hunter

   

   Travis Hunter is an interesting case because of his rare two way ability to play offense and defense however after one season he feels like a jack of all trades and master of none. Honestly he'd be better off just sticking with one side or the other he also missed most of the season so it's really hard to accurately judge his stats. He still had 298 yards and 1 TD in limited action he only had 15 tackles on defense. Still seems like a project player that will take time to reap the rewards.

8. Jakobi Meyers

   

   Meyers has been an under the radar go to guy for years now. His role slowly started expanding until his breakout season with the Raiders in 2024. Since being traded in 2025 he has stabilized the Jaguars wide receiver room and quickly established himself as a reliable target for Trevor Lawrence he had 835 yards and 3 touchdowns averaging 11.1 yards per reception in 2025. Not the flashiest guy in the Jags offense but a good option to have

9. Ezra Cleveland

   

   Ezra Cleveland isn't in the upper echelon of offensive linemen but he's at least a reliable starting caliber offensive lineman he's consistent and is respectable at both pass blocking and run blocking. He is above average which is honestly all that you can ask for. He has quietly proven his worth and is a bit of an underrated talent at the end of the day. The Jaguars should give him a contract extension soon.

10. Cam Little

    The fact that Cam Little officially broke the NFL record for longest field goal ever made at 68 yards is impressive on its own. He also hit one from 70 yards in the 2025 Preseason so it doesn't count. Besides being really good at kicking the football really far he is also accurate hitting 30 of 34 field goals on the season or roughly 88% and was 50 of 51 on extra points or 98% he also had 8 field goals made that were at least 50 yards.
