Top 10 Jacksonville Jaguars Players Going Into the 2026-27 NFL Season

The Jaguars had a resurgent season last year under first-year head coach Liam Coen. What a difference a new coach makes, right? They narrowly lost to the Bills in the playoffs, but now they'll look to build on that success.

I have to say that I honestly wasn't a fan of their draft class this year. Maybe I'm wrong, but I see a step-back season coming for Duval.

Trevor Lawrence

Who knew a coaching change was all it took to unlock his true potential? Trevor Lawrence looked like himself again in 2025. He was incredibly poised, with a good arm and good rushing ability. He threw for over 4,000 yards and led the Jags to a 13-4 record, with 29 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
He played arguably his best football in 2025, and the Jags had their best season since "Sacksonville" was a thing. He may not be elite, but keep in mind that, up until last season, the organization did him no favors whatsoever. I think we are finally seeing him play like he was advertised when he was at Clemson.
Josh Hines-Allen

Josh Hines-Allen is the leader of the Jaguars' defense. He's an elite edge rusher and has been one of the best defensive players in Jaguars history since he was drafted in 2019.
He's another one of those guys who never seems to get the recognition he deserves. He has a high pressure rate and has recorded at least eight sacks in each of the last three years. PFF gave him an 86.8 grade, ranking him sixth among edge defenders.
Travon Walker

Travon Walker is solid, but not necessarily the elite player he was expected to be as a former No. 1 overall draft pick. In hindsight, he probably wasn't worth the No. 1 overall pick because, so far, he hasn't lived up to expectations. However, that doesn't mean he isn't good.
He complements Josh Hines-Allen very well and is an excellent run defender. 2025 was a bit of a down year, but I expect him to bounce back to his 2024 form this coming season.
Bhayshul Tuten

With Travis Etienne no longer on the team, the door is open for Bhayshul Tuten to be the primary running back in Liam Coen's offense. He's relatively unproven going into his second year. He was a fourth-round draft pick in 2025, and last season he had 83 rushing attempts for 307 yards and five touchdowns in 15 games.
I expect him to have a much bigger year now that he's been handed the keys to the primary running back role.
Foyesade Oluokun

People often overlook Foyesade Oluokun, but he's quietly been one of the better linebackers in the league, and nobody talks about it. He led the league in tackles in 2022 and 2023, yet he doesn't have any of the awards or honors he deserves.
He's a consistent and reliable linebacker. He finished 2025 with 143 tackles, including 69 solo tackles, 11 pass deflections, five tackles for loss, one sack, and one interception. It surprises me how little recognition he gets league-wide. Put some respect on this man's name.
Brian Thomas Jr.

Brian Thomas Jr. was the subject of trade rumors during the offseason. His production has been somewhat volatile so far. He had an impressive rookie season, and he's a good deep threat who clearly has talent, based on his 2024 Pro Bowl rookie season.
However, 2025 was a massive letdown in every aspect because of a combination of injuries and a reduced target share. His chemistry with Lawrence just felt off. I'm assuming he has a bounce-back year, but don't be surprised if he gets traded at some point.
Travis Hunter

Travis Hunter is an interesting case because of his rare two-way ability to play offense and defense. However, after one season, he feels like a jack of all trades and master of none. Honestly, he'd be better off sticking with one side or the other. He also missed most of the season, so it's really hard to accurately judge his stats.
He still had 298 yards and one touchdown in limited action, but he only had 15 tackles on defense. He still seems like a project player who will take time to reap the rewards.
Jakobi Meyers

Meyers has been an under-the-radar, go-to guy for years now. His role slowly started expanding until his breakout season with the Raiders in 2024. Since being traded in 2025, he has stabilized the Jaguars' wide receiver room and quickly established himself as a reliable target for Trevor Lawrence.
He had 835 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 11.1 yards per reception in 2025. He's not the flashiest guy in the Jags' offense, but he's a good option to have.
Ezra Cleveland

Ezra Cleveland isn't in the upper echelon of offensive linemen, but he's at least a reliable, starting-caliber player. He's consistent and respectable at both pass blocking and run blocking. He is above average, which is honestly all that you can ask for.
He has quietly proven his worth and is a bit of an underrated talent at the end of the day. The Jaguars should give him a contract extension soon.
Cam Little

The fact that Cam Little officially broke the NFL record for the longest field goal ever made, at 68 yards, is impressive on its own. He also hit one from 70 yards in the 2025 preseason, but it doesn't count.
Besides being really good at kicking the football far, he is also accurate. He hit 30 of 34 field goals on the season, or roughly 88%, and 50 of 51 extra points, or 98%. He also made eight field goals from at least 50 yards.
