Top 10 Miami Dolphins Players Going Into the 2025-26 Season

The Dolphins are a weird team to analyze. They should be good enough to make the playoffs on paper. However, they just keep falling short when it matters most.

Seems like they really ride or die with Tua. I think, best-case scenario, they can sneak in the back door and make the wild card. But honestly, it's about time they start showing some results.

Mike McDaniel better hope things work out for him this time because he's got to be on a short leash by now. The list of excuses is running short.

Not sure if I can trust the Dolphins to make the playoffs and do something, but then again, crazier things have happened. It'll all depend on if Tua can stay healthy for once.

The Top Ten
  1. Tyreek Hill

Tyreek Hill (born March 1, 1994) is an American professional football wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL).

He played college football for the Garden City Broncbusters, Oklahoma State Cowboys, and West Alabama Tigers before being selected by the Kansas City... read more

Tyreek Hill may be a diva off the field to an extent, but there's no denying that he's still one of the top wide receivers in the NFL despite a down year in 2024. Some of that can be blamed on Tua missing games. There's a reason he's known as The Cheetah because of his blistering elite speed and agility.

Tyreek Hill can make explosive plays on a moment's notice. On top of making explosive plays, he is proven to be a highly effective and productive player. His 2023 season in particular saw him set career highs in yards (1,799), which led the league, and touchdowns (13), also leading the league.

On top of that, he's an 8-time Pro Bowler and 5-time First Team All-Pro. Even if his 2024 numbers were down significantly, Tyreek is still an elite wide receiver who should bounce back in 2025.

  2. Tua Tagovailoa

Tua is an interesting case. He has the talent to be a top 10 quarterback in the NFL. The biggest issue I have is the history of concussions.

On top of that, he cannot seem to win the big games or win in cold weather conditions. Here's the thing with Tua: he's got a strong cannon arm and is generally pretty accurate. He led the league in passer rating in 2022 and passing yards in 2023.

I still think he can be really good, but he needs to be more consistently healthy and prove he can win when the stakes are highest. Still a valuable player to the Dolphins' overall success. Without him, they are practically useless on offense. He is pretty much the heart and soul of this team.

  3. De’Von Achane

Ever since he emerged onto the scene, De'Von Achane has been a dynamic, versatile, dual-threat running back who can catch passes and run. He can make high-impact, explosive plays and has been a true dominant force for the Dolphins' offense.

He received an 81.6 overall grade by PFF in 2024, ranking 13th overall for his position. He finished with 907 rushing yards and 6 rushing touchdowns. He also had an impressive 592 receiving yards and 6 receiving touchdowns. I'd expect him to have a big 2025 season.

  4. Jalen Ramsey

Jalen Lattrel Ramsey is an American football cornerback who plays for the Los Angeles Rams in the National Football League. He played college football at Florida State University and was drafted fifth overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2016 NFL Draft. Ramsey is widely regarded as one of the top... read more

There's a possibility that Jalen Ramsey gets traded still, but for now he's still with the Dolphins. Ramsey is easily the best player in Miami's secondary, hands down, even if he's not in the peak of his career anymore.

He's not necessarily "washed," but certainly not the same as his Jacksonville days. He's still solid overall. PFF gave him a 76.9 overall grade in 2024, ranking 16th overall among all cornerbacks. He still has an impressive resume with 7 Pro Bowls and 3 First Team All-Pros. He finished 2024 with 2 interceptions, 11 passes deflected, 1 sack, and 60 combined tackles.

  5. Bradley Chubb

Bradley Chubb is an unfortunate case of a player who can't shake the injury bug. When he's healthy, he's still one of the better pass rushers in the league. However, as previously mentioned, he's seemingly always injury prone.

Chubb missed the entire 2024 season due to injury. He had a great 2023 season with 6 forced fumbles, 11 sacks, 73 combined tackles, 45 solo tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and 22 quarterback hits. He's no Von Miller but is still very solid overall and Pro Bowl caliber at best. Honestly, just wish he could stay consistently healthy.

  6. Jordyn Brooks

Jordyn Brooks is generally considered a good linebacker. He's productive and does well in run defense. One of the best defensive players the Dolphins have.

He had a good season in 2024 and was a true "dawg," making a significant impact even if it didn't show up on the stat sheet. He had 86 solo tackles, which ranked top 10 in the league, and 143 combined tackles. Brooks is an underrated linebacker for sure.

  7. Jaylen Waddle

Jaylen Waddle is honestly one of the best WR2s in the league. It's hard to outshine someone like Tyreek Hill, but Waddle is respectable in his own right. He has great speed and route-running abilities and can make big impact plays after the catch, making him a dynamic threat.

2024 was a down year for him statistically, but to be fair, Tua missed most of the season, so it's hard to blame it all entirely on Waddle. Expect him to have a bounce-back season in 2025.

  8. Jonnu Smith

Say what you will, but Jonnu Smith was a reliable go-to safety valve for the Dolphins' offense last year. Sure, he's a seasoned veteran who has bounced around the league, but for the time being, he seems to have found himself a landing spot with Miami.

He finished with 88 receptions for 884 yards and 8 touchdowns in his first season with the Dolphins, earning his first Pro Bowl selection of his career. PFF graded him 78.2 overall, 5th amongst all starting tight ends. He had the 4th most yards and 2nd most touchdowns among all tight ends in the league.

  9. Kenneth Grant

Kenneth Grant was a highly touted draft prospect, and Miami does need all the defensive help they can get.

Grant has great size and strength and should be able to disrupt opposing offensive lines. He's very versatile, has good pass-rushing potential, and is great at stopping the run. He should fit in well and bolster the defensive line, which was a big area of need.

  10. Jason Sanders

Sanders is generally regarded as one of the better kickers in the league. He has a strong leg and has proven accuracy.

Last season, he made 37 of 41 field goals for a 90% accuracy rating and made 26 of 28 extra points for a 92% accuracy rate. His 82.9 PFF grade in 2024 ranks 12th in the league among all kickers. Sanders is pretty consistent and reliable, making him a very valuable asset for the Dolphins to have. A good kicker really can make all the difference, and Sanders is certainly one of the better kickers around.
