64 Metallica - Death Magnetic

I forgave Metallica for st anger when I heard this - Trivium

The production on this albums is dreadful and the guitar tone is pretty bad also. I do think it's the best Metallica album since justice but I can't stand listening to this horribly produced mess. Though I do love the way all nightmare long and some other sounds sound live I can't say this album is good.

It completely slaughters all other albums... why isn't rust in peace on the list, what about the divine reign in blood, the Metallica album surely deserves to be there more than ride the lightning

Metallica is the best Of all time. They made this after their prime and made this great album

65 Tool - Aenima

Tool are one of the greatest bands ever and this is by far their best album! The vocals and lyrics or so unique in every song and rocking out to their music just comes so naturally. Plus they have the best music videos ever! When it comes to best albums, it has to be Aenima. Extremely underrated.

It is the only album that equals Master of Puppets in my opinion. I have just never considered them to have ever been a metal band, but a heavy progressive rock band.

I think this is one of the best progressive metal albums

Third eye, aenima, pushit

66 Tool - Lateralus

Schism is my favourite song by Tool. - IronSabbathPriest

Tool's Black album. And that is a tremendous acknowledgement by MJK to show how much he likes bands who switch it up. The outer-sleeve is black. Sublime Tool.

67 Slayer - South of Heaven

Slayer at their most diverse, technical, and best.

Lombardo's all over this one like a rash.

68 Lamb of God - As the Palaces Burn V 1 Comment
69 Black Sabbath - We Sold Our Souls for Rock 'n' Roll

That's on Soulfly's average Archangel album. Is it a cover or a coinkidink?

70 No Time to Bleed - Suicide Silence
71 Iced Earth - Something Wicked This Way Comes

Their second best in my opinion. I think if you had a 'Best Of' collection of Iced Earth songs, from all eras and incarnations, you'd need a 1TB HD to fit them on.

72 Maudlin of the Well - Bath
73 Guns N' Roses - Appetite For Destruction

Again, they've always been a metal band here. Metal-lite perhaps, but a rocking metal band nevertheless.

Classic! Although I would say it's more hard rock than metal...
Great sound, powerful songs, the two guitars harmonize beautifully and slash's solos on this album are legendary!
Too many great songs to make a toplist on this one
