Communism originally was supposed to be Anti Nationalist. Marx was anti nationalist, leaders like Mao, The Kims, Laos, The Castros, Ho Chi Minh, and Ceasceau took communism and blended with nationalism. However strict followers of marxism are very anti nationalist.

2 Leon Trotsky Leon Trotsky was a Russian revolutionary, Marxist theorist, and Soviet politician whose particular strain of Marxist thought is known as Trotskyism.

Stalin was a quasi nationalist withe the Soviet Union. It is hard to say whether you can say Stalin was a nationalist or nor, but Trotsky was against those policies of Stalin which is why he was more or less assassinated
