Top Ten Least Famous Arab Countries

I will be looking at the least famous arab countries in the world, and the countries allowed on the list are countries that are members of the arab league. I've made this type of list with asian, african, oceanian and european countries so I think I'm going to look at the least famous arab countries now. So here's the list!

The Top Ten

1 Comoros The Comoros, officially the Union of the Comoros, is a sovereign archipelago island nation in the Indian Ocean located at the northern end of the Mozambique Channel off the eastern coast of Africa between northeastern Mozambique and northwestern Madagascar.

I'm pretty sure that many people heard of Kuwait, since an invasion from Saddam triggered The Gulf War.

That would be the only thing people would probably know about that country, but it was a while ago as well and not many people have talked about it, but you're right. Which is why it's not in the top two - darthvadern

I only knew this country thanks to Geography Now - DarkBoi-X

I actually knew it way many years before it, but I've seen the episode as well - darthvadern

The comoros take the number #1 spot easly. All of the other arab countries may have been heard at least once by people, but barely any people know about Comoros or have even heard of it. They are the smallest and most southern country in the arab league and are the only arab flag besides Mauretania and Egypt (kinda) to have yellow on their flag. The comoros take the number #1 spot easly - darthvadern

Coming from a person who got 100% on a geography final, I didn't even knew it existed. - MrCoolC

2 Djibouti

Djibouti, is a quite unknown country as well. It's really just known for being Ethiopia's only access to the sea. Despite being located in Africa and being very small, it's way closer to Yemen than say Syria or UAE are, fun fact - darthvadern

The name is hilarious, and the national anthem is a masterpiece. - MrCoolC

3 Bahrain

Another relatively unknown country in the arab world, but actually one of the richer and safer countries in the arab world. It's tiny and often gets overshadowed by it's older brother Qatar which is the richest country in the world and is bigger and isn't an island. Oh yeah, and this is an island nation - darthvadern

4 Kuwait

They are barely known at all and are very small. I'm not sure there's a lot about Kuwait people know and I barely hear people talk about it anyway so it will stay high up in the list - darthvadern

5 Oman Oman, officially the Sultanate of Oman, is an Arab country in the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula.

Known for being one of the more safe arab countries and because Avicci died in the capital city Muskat here. It's the only country in the world which begins on the letter "O" as well - darthvadern

6 Yemen Yemen, officially known as the Republic of Yemen, is an Arab country in Western Asia, occupying the southwestern to the southern end of the Arabian Peninsula.

A lot of people think of Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq and South Sudan when they hear countries at war, but they usually forget the southern country known as Yemen, which is the asian country (excluding Israel) closest to Africa, fun fact. And it's really just known for being in war unfortuanely - darthvadern

I know about Yemen because my friends from childhood were from there. - MrCoolC

Lot's of people know it for war. - DarkBoi-X

7 Lebanon Lebanon was established in 1920 and gained its independence in 1943. For a couple of years it has lacked a president; yet, on October 31st, 2016, it got president Michel Aoun . It is known as the Phoenix of the world since it has sunken under the ocean and has been destroyed by wars 7 times . In advance, more.

One of the best arab countries - DarkBoi-X

Known for being the party capital of the arab world. I believe it's one of the safer arab countries as well. I find it suprising how unknown it is, as Lebanon has among the most interesting and oldest history in the arab world. Very interesting country but unfortuanely unknown - darthvadern

8 Mauritania Mauritania, officially the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, is a country in the Maghreb region of western North Africa.

Known for being one of the most muslim countries in the world and for being one of the few countries were slavery is still practised. It's actually one of the biggest arab countries in size despite being very unknown - darthvadern

9 Gambia Gambia, established in February 18, 1965, is located in western part of Africa. The capital of Gambia is called Banjul, the other major city are Serekunda, Brikama and Bakau which are the three biggest cities in Gambia. more.

The Contenders

11 Guinea

Not arab, at all - darthvadern

12 Algeria Algeria, officially People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, is a sovereign state in North Africa on the Mediterranean coast.

In terms of size, Algeria is the biggest country in both the arab world and the african continent. Despite this they aren't actually that known. They're mostly just known for being a soccer country - darthvadern

13 Tunisia Tunisia, officially the Tunisian Republic or the Republic of Tunisia is the northernmost country in Africa, covering 165,000 square kilometres.

Known for being the most democratic arab country and that's really it, unfortuanely. Heck, a lot of people can't tell the difference between Algeria and Tunisia unfortuanely - darthvadern
