Top Ten Least Famous European Countries

I already did one this type of list on asian and african countries. So now we will be looking at the least famous european countries. Without further ado, let's start!
The Top Ten
1 Montenegro

You'd think Kosovo was the least known country in Europe. But honestly that country gets some attention because of its conflict agianst serbians. Montenegro on the other hand is in no conflict whatsoever and is one of the newest countries in the world, the same day as Serbia, but Serbia stole its spotlight

Technically the least voted on this list should be at the top.

Good list idea, I was just about to make this list

2 Andorra Andorra, officially the Principality of Andorra, also called the Principality of the Valleys of Andorra, is a sovereign landlocked microstate in Southwestern Europe, located in the eastern Pyrenees mountains and bordered by Spain and France. Believed to have been created by Charlemagne, Andorra was ruled by the count of Urgell until 988, when it was transferred to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Urgell. The present principality was formed by a charter in 1278. It is headed by two co-princes: the Bishop of Urgell in Catalonia, Spain and the President of France. Its capital and largest city is Andorra la Vella. ...read more.

Andorra, the one country so hard to get in to because of so few roads. A very interesting country I must say, only a third of the population are andorrians strangely enough. It doesn't get the attention it deserves

In my country currently it is well-known because our national team (ashamingly) lost against Andorra in football. There are lots of jokes and memes about that match.

3 Moldova Moldova, officially the Republic of Moldova, is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe. It is bordered by Romania to the west and Ukraine to the north, east, and south. The unrecognised breakaway region of Transnistria lies across the Dniester on the country's eastern border with Ukraine. Moldova's capital and largest city is Chișinău. ...read more.

Of the eastern europe countries Moldova is the least famous easly. I mean compared to the other countries: Belarus is known for being the last dictatorship in Europe, Ukraine has an ongoing conflict with Russia, Romania has the dracula myth and Bulgaria is one of the oldest countries in Europe, and Russia needs no explanation. This one however is squeezed in between Romania and Ukraine and doesn't seem too well-known

Was part of Romania, but in WWII the Russians annexed it to the USSR and people basically forgot about it. After 1991 it became known as that strange little area between Romania and Ukraine that is struggling a bit on its own. People forget it exists all the time.

4 Liechtenstein Liechtenstein is a very tiny country in Europe. It is between Switzerland and Austria. It is known for its mountains. The official language in Liechtenstein is German. On January 23, 1719, Liechtenstein was discovered, and it established independence from the Holy Roman Empire on July 12, 1806. Its biggest ally is Switzerland. It is the 4th smallest country in Europe and has a Royal Family.

A country often stereotyped as german. That's not entirely wrong since it's the official language, plus the name sounds very german. It's also the smallest german speaking country

5 Slovenia Slovenia, officially the Republic of Slovenia, is a country in Central Europe. It is bordered by Italy to the west, Austria to the north, Hungary to the northeast, Croatia to the southeast, and the Adriatic Sea to the southwest. Slovenia has a predominantly continental climate, with the exception of the Slovene Littoral and the Julian Alps. A sub-mediterranean climate reaches to the northern extensions of the Dinaric Alps that traverse ...read more.

The omst northern of the former yugoslavian states and it doesn't have a border with Slovakia despite their names being almost being the exact same (especially in swedish). Both countries are unknown as well

Slovenia is even often confused with Slovakia (not that Slovakia is more known).

On their own language, Slovenia's and Slovakia's name is even more mischievous

It lies at the centre of the Balkans, occupying an area of 10,887 km2 (4,203 sq mi), with a population of 1.8 million; and is bordered by the uncontested territory of Serbia to the north and east, North Macedonia to the southeast, Albania to the southwest, and Montenegro to the west. Most of central Kosovo is dominated by the vast plains and fields of Metohija and Kosovo. The Accursed Mountains and Šar Mountains ...read more.

A country that isn't even reconized as a svereign state by some countries. But it's quite known for that, I mean their conflict with the serbians is quite big. But it's still not that known

Despite actually being the biggest country in the baltic both by size and population, the only thing this country is seemingly known for is its high suicide rate. This actually does kinda offend me because I am half lithuanian, and it's kinda sad, I won't hate the world because of it, but I wish it had more spotlight than Sweden and the other balt countries

The biggest micro-state in Europe (Cyrpus doesn't count since it's asian), but it's yet unknown. Flag is pretty much the same as the Netherlands flag except a much lighter blue so I respect it, it's quite beautiful too

Known for being the richest European country by GDP per capita.

10 Monaco Monaco, officially the Principality of Monaco, is a sovereign city-state and microstate, located on the French Riviera in Western Europe.

Other than being the second smallest country in both the world and Europe, Monaco doesn't get much attention. It's flag is also so similar to Indonesia's so that's probably another reason

Another micro state in Italy to be specific

16 Slovakia

Even though Slovenia is less known, Slovakia isn't that known either. Not even I know that much about Slovakia other than it being part of Czechoslovakia, and even then Prague was the capital of that country and not Bratislava (Slovakia's capital city)
