1. Only a few people actually care about you

   That is an inevitability we all must face. Chances are, almost everyone who surrounds you does not have your best interests in mind.

   When times are difficult, seek out your blood, your family. It's there that you're most likely to find those who truly care about you.

2. Money can buy happiness

   To a point, I would agree. There are those among us who are just unhappy.

   In the U.S., it's never been more apparent than now. There's a clear separation between those with power and money, and those without. Then there's the group that believes they have power, but in reality, they do not.

   I guess from a statistical view, this is as near to a certainty as you can get.

   But take Sir Isaac Newton, for instance. In his time, I really doubt there was any human around who possessed his knowledge. But does that ensure that Isaac Newton was the "best" human being of his time?

    On this one, I'd offer up my love for my children as being as close as it's going to get. But love cannot be measured.

    If someone were to ask if you love your parents, the overwhelming response would be yes, or very much. So prove it... You can't. It's yours and yours alone, and that's the beauty of it.
