Mustaine is best known as a pioneer in Thrash Metal, being the former lead guitarist of Metallica before his dismissal in 1983, leading to finding and becoming the front man of his own band Megadeth shortly after. Everyone and their brother knows that Dave singing sounded like him trying to pitch a loaf in 80s and 90s. Nowadays, his voice is a lot better and more befitting for the newer Megadeth albums. Klaus Meine is a German vocalist, best known as the lead singer of the hard rock band Scorpions. He and guitarist Rudolf Schenker are the only two members of the group to appear on every Scorpions album. His voice is incredible and aged very good but he hasn't been a metal singer for long time - since the 70s.

1) with aging, he widened his range by widening his highest register (aging usually lowers the singing voices)
2) his voice at the age of 50 still sounded incredibly pristine and clean as if all those 30 years of singing difficult metal material never happened - no unwanted rasp and so on (ex. Miracle Machine by Blind Guardian)
