Top 10 Horror Movies that Have Been Banned

Hey, have you ever been terrified by a movie? Well, some of the movies you watch are actually banned around the world. These movies are mostly banned due to their extreme violence, nudity, and other disturbing content.

These films are often considered bizarre. For instance, there are movies that feature nudity involving minors, which is deeply troubling. There are also movies that use real human corpses. So, yes, there are many horror movies that have been banned globally for very disturbing reasons.

I recommend that you avoid watching any of these movies unless they are not banned in your country. Even then, I would still be hesitant to watch them. Do you think these movies were made to scare us, or are the directors mentally unstable and evil? Please leave your answers in the comments.
The Top Ten
Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom

Salò has artistic merit, and all of the graphic content was simulated.

The movie is 100 times milder than the book.

A Serbian Film

I've seen it. There's no gore. I'd say it's the depravity and taboo theme that psychologically disturbs the viewer because it's realistic. We know that all of this is happening somewhere.

The film has been banned in Spain, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Norway, and South Korea. It was investigated for its horrible and disturbing crimes against sexual morals and crimes related to the protection of minors.

The Human Centipede

My sister made me watch the trailer, and I almost vomited. Scratch that, I DID vomit.

Whose brilliant idea was it to make this anyway? How can people enjoy watching other people being attached together in such a disgusting manner? They should've just made a monster with 20 of the same organs covered in blood. It would've been more humane.

A movie about an evil guy who tries to make his fantasy into a reality. The killer wants to attach people's body parts together. I never watched it, but is the movie scary or boring?

So yeah, there is nothing wrong with cutting Johnny's head off and putting it on Timmy's. It's good. That is what true art is. This is the 21st century, lol.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Franchise

This is where I live, so my state has a master serial killer, haha. He is also based on a real serial killer. This movie was banned due to the graphic violence, mainly focused on the girls, and because it had torture porn, which is a person naked being tortured. I've seen it. It's not the best movie but still good. I'll give it 6/10.

The original is a masterpiece!

Cannibal Holocaust

Oh god, this movie is something. It was so horrific that some people actually believed the director killed the actors on stage. Yes, you heard me right - that's how bad this movie was. The director, Ruggero Deodato, was literally almost arrested because people reported that he had killed the actors on stage.

Well, sorry to spoil it, but that's not true. He showed his innocence by asking the actors to testify in court, proving that he didn't kill anyone. But who knows? He probably forced them to testify and told them something really frightening, like, "If you don't say I'm innocent, I will kill your family. Wah ha ha!" I would be like, "Okay then." (Cringe.)

The Last House on the Left (1972)

This movie is amazing. The quality isn't the best, but I love this movie. The plot twist at the end was incredible.

I've watched the 2009 version. It's actually pretty good. Doesn't deserve any hate.

Nekromantik

Yeah, this movie wasn't that scary but weird. I mean, the main character dies at the beginning, and - oh no, no - he still gets screen time. Yup, he is dead, and he is still going to be on screen. How is that possible, you may ask? You might reply that he comes back as a zombie or a mummy or even a skeleton. Well, wrong, wrong, and... correct.

Yes, the main character comes back as a skeleton, but not a fake skeleton - an actual human corpse. Yes, they took it so far that they used an actual corpse and had two actors who love each other have sex with a dead corpse. So, yup, all the screen time on that skeleton is nothing but it being a sex toy. "Wow, that movie is lovely. I would love to have sex with a guy that's been dead for over a hundred years." (I'm being sarcastic.)

Hostel: Part II

Eli Roth never disappoints. There's a reason the Hostel franchise isn't hated and is mainstream - because there's a great balance between the vibrancy of its storyline and horror elements. Great movie!

Saw 4

Yes, we love this movie, but you should have known it was going to be banned around the world. The movie was banned for scenes of brutal, gory violence and torture. Other Saw movies were bad, but not worth mentioning. In my opinion, I can see why Saw is banned. Look at how they are tortured and how they have to harm themselves to survive.

One look at the cover and you'll already know why this was banned.

The Exorcist

Most of the movies on this list are pretty bad. All shock value, and the filmmakers clearly didn't care about the quality of the film they were making. The Exorcist is super scary and still manages to be a well-made film.
It was banned in Singapore upon initial release.

The Newcomers

? Cooties
? Hostel
The Contenders
Where the Dead Go to Die
The Evil Dead 2

I can see why it is a lot scarier than the first one, but it is also better than the first one.

Human Centipede III: Final Sequence
Child's Play
The Evil Dead
Bride of Chucky
Seed of Chucky
