Actually, 6 million people only accounts for the Jewish population exterminated during the Holocaust. That's not even taking into account Polish and Soviet prisoners of war, as well as gypsies, homosexuals, disabled people, and other minority groups. It's actually estimated that over 60 million people were killed as the result of the Second World War (ten times more than just 6 million), which was directly caused by the Nazi regime in Germany with their invasion of Poland. So yeah, the Nazis were NOT nice people. Undoubtedly one of the most evil countries that have existed in history, and the fact that it happened so recently makes it this all the worse, since it is fresh in our memories.
Killed, imprisoned, brainwashed, and discriminated against more people than Nazi Germany and lasted much longer. Caused horrid broken systems of communism and socialism to rip apart countries all over the world with economic downfall and starvation. Even infiltrated western education and convinced the youth that it and its ideology weren't terrible. From Lenin to Gorbachev their own leaders were a bunch of oppressive mass murderers. Nazi Germany is close, but their popularity is the only thing they have over the Soviets.
