Top 10 Weirdest Pokédex Entries
This one says: "Forests where Shiinotic live are treacherous to enter at night. People confused by its strange lights can never find their way home again." Not really that weird. But here is one from Ultra Sun: "It puts its prey to sleep and siphons off their vitality through the tip of its arms. If one of its kind is weakened, it helps by sending it vitality." That's a bit weirder.
"Singing in eerie voices, they wander town streets on the night of the new moon. Anyone who hears their song is cursed." Scary.
Here is the one for Pokémon Emerald: "After spending thousands of years in harsh deserts, its blood transformed into the same substance as sand. It is nocturnal, so it hunts at night." Kind of weird with the whole blood-becoming-sand part.
Now here is HeartGold/SoulSilver: "Packs of them follow travelers through the desert until the travelers can no longer move." God, that is creepy.
Here is the first one: "When it finds humans or Pokémon it likes, it freezes them and takes them to its chilly den, where they become decorations." That's very weird.
Here is the second one: "It freezes hikers who have come to climb snowy mountains and carries them back to its home. It only goes after men it thinks are handsome." That one should be number one.
Ok, next one: "Darumaka's droppings are hot, so people used to put them in their clothes to keep themselves warm." Ok, that's very weird. Who uses poop as a heat source?
Being the good person I am, I will type the entries for each one. Here is Yamask's: "The spirit of a person from a bygone age became this Pokémon. It rambles through ruins, searching for someone who knows its face." That is actually a bit creepy.
Here is Lampent's: "It lurks in cities, pretending to be a lamp. Once it finds someone whose death is near, it will trail quietly after them." Not as scary as Yamask's, but still a little creepy.
Pokémon Y: "According to old tales, these Pokémon are stumps possessed by the spirits of children who died while lost in the forest." That's a bit creepy.
Pokémon Ultra Sun: "By imitating the voice of a child, it causes people to get hopelessly lost deep in the forest. It's trying to make friends with them." What kind of Pokémon would get people lost to make friends with them?
Here are the last two: "It's a stuffed toy that was thrown away and became possessed, ever searching for the one who threw it away so it can exact its revenge." Not really weird. I think this is the one that takes it though: "Resentment at being cast off made it spring into being. Some say that treating it well will satisfy it, and it will once more become a stuffed toy."
And the last one: "It is whispered that any child who mistakes Drifloon for a balloon and holds on to it could wind up missing." Eh, not too weird.
