Worst Pokemon CharactersThis list describes the dumbest, most unpopular Pokemon Characters. I totally/partly hate all of these.
Serena is boring. Extremely girly, cooking pastries, into fashion, dressing up, dressing up her Pokemon... I've seen Dawn do this in Sinnoh. What's worse is how her current interest has nothing to do with battling, the core element of Pokemon. Pokemon performers seem really sexist. First of all it's females only. A gender specific competition in Pokemon is odd. Secondly, again, there's no battling. It's like the creators were thinking "Oh. Boys only battle. Girls like to dress up, look cute and dance." Again, somewhat sexist.
Thanks to Chole, I don't see her as the "worst pokemon character" anymore. She's still is a Mary Sue and a huge female stereotype and easily 2nd worst, but there are at least some interesting things about her. Her return also wasn't bad at all. What really hurts her is cruddy boreshipping where she obsess over Ash too much and has no incentive herself and her terrible sexist goal. But it was nice seeing her help Chole and how she developed in Journeys.
In all my years of Pokemon, never have I seen such a useless character. Every one of Ash's companions were unique, and they had original designs and personalities. Serena is just a stereotype barbie doll. All she ever does is think about looking pretty and getting Ash's attention. Everyone says that Dawn and Misty served no purpose and that they were stereotypes. Are you kidding me!? Misty was a cool tomboy who would put on nice clothes every now and then. And sure, Dawn was a girly-girl but unlike a stereotype girly-girl Dawn only put on special clothes to look feminine, not to show off. And unlike the other pokegirls, Serena had no special design. Strawberry blonde hair, blue eyes, sound familiar? Not only that but Serena's goal was super stupid. A Pokemon performer? All they do is dress-up and show-off their Pokemon. They don't even show the true point of the show, battling. If you all noticed, Ash, Brock, Misty, May, Dawn, Iris, and Cilan's goals all had something to do with ...more
For those who wanted me to give Serena a chance, I have, and I still try to like her. I don't care much about Ash, but Serena's crush on him gets me extremely pissed off, especially when she starts blushing and fantasizing about him.
And her character, my goodness, is the biggest female stereotype I have ever seen. She's blonde and into fashion, and only thinks about her appearance and looking pretty.
I also despise how she cut her hair because she lost a contest/showcase/whatever it's called. Cutting your hair doesn't do anything different. Look at Dawn, she lost contests 3 times before succeeding, but she only let it out by crying, and not cutting her hair.
The worst thing about Serena (in my opinion) is that the writers gave her an Eevee.
Good news: Ash is finally leaving the show & taking Pikachu with him. Really, about time. And this should be good news for Ash fans as well. Ash's character was all over the place, escpally in BW and beyond. They needed a newb to build upon, & Ash was going nowhere being forced as a main character each generation. He couldn't really accomplish anything to be main character forever, as what can they have him do after he accomplishes everything? The short series will let him a accomplish everything (hopefully) unlike if he was forced to stay. And in any case, Ash isn't Ash from where he was at the start. Hope new characters aren't just "JN Ash 2.0".
Ash is the koopalings of Pokemon. Both offer the same pathetic thing with just a different look. The koopalings are garbage characters/bosses who do the same "recycle the boss with a different, lame koopaling skin" routine. Ash is a pathetic trainer who does the same thing of struggling to collect the badges, struggling with the same type of Pokemon in fire/grass/water/regional bird/Pikachu and he ultimately loses at the league while wearing a different outfit. Same crap, different look.
The main reason I stopped watching the show. For a series which revolves around evolution and change Ash continues to be an unchanging, stagnant blank.
"He is no match for Ash!"
"She is no match for Ash!"
"They are no match for Ash!"
Oh shut up already!
Your Ash is pathetic when it comes to critical battles, and there were so many times protagonist power has been used to hand him his victory. Pikachu can be strong but he ain't the strongest to beat an over match.
Ash just tells them to believe in friendship and BOOM! It's done.
That's not how you win a battle against a far stronger opponent.
I have seen some non-protagonist character using amazing strategies yet losing to Ash for not being in plot armory.
And sprinkles on onix? Seriously!
Sorry Brock .
Finally, a character who doesn't care about dresses or shopping, and didn't have anger issues. And before you say anything about Misty you have to remember that Misty wasn't really a tomboy. Think about it, Iris enjoyed playing outside, catching strong Pokemon, and competed in a lot of battling tournaments. Misty though, she cared too much about shopping, barely caught any Pokemon, and rarely did any battling whatsoever. Not only that but she always yelled, hit, screamed, and overexaggerated over anything and everything Ash and Brock did. And then you hate Iris just because she called Ash a kid? Well at least she didn't slap him unlike some others.
Iris in the games is cool. Anime Iris is hot garbage. She's obnoxious and rarely worked towards anything. Her Axew spent more time getting itself lost than training and battling. I was glad when Iris was kicked off the show. She sucked.
Iris is hated for calling Ash a kid, Misty is loved despite constantly yelling, complaining about her bike, get violent AND even calling Ash a kid herself. Would you rather be called a kid or be yelled at all the time? People hate Iris for what Misty did too and although Misty called Ash a kid a little less frequently she still did things Iris didn't or barely did. I don't hate Misty, but Iris being underrated and Misty not doesn't even make any sense. Heck, Misty is loved more than Jessie despite not having grown up like the latter and therefore less excuse for her behavior. Jessie actually has a deeper character than Misty and Iris does too. Iris is groomed to be gymleader and has a chill yet with behaviours and she swings on vines, Misty is pretty much where she wants to be and doesn't grow that much. I love Misty too, but her popularity for something other characters are underrated ruins her a bit.
To tell you the truth, Iris isn't really bad character and I find her pretty cool. Everybody's saying Misty's the real tomboy or that she was way better well, Iris just called Ash a little kid as a way of teasing him like friends do. Misty on the other hand was very bossy and mean and would usually hit Ash or Brock and then beg to go shopping. Iris on the other hand would call Ash a kid and then she was through. Misty though, she would thump Ash with a mallet and then hurt his feelings. A real tomboy is someone who likes activities for boys and that's Iris. People like Misty are just prissy.
Misty is the worst character of all. All she does is follow ash around and never does anything productive. If any case ash is always saving her. Come on she claims to be sweet when really she is the meanest person ever. She is always insulting everybody and thinks she is so pretty. Come on can she have some modesty. What really annoyed me was the fact that ash found the togepi egg but misty still persisted in keeping it and pushed ash out of the way when it hatched. She basically stole his Pokemon. Also why does she act like pikachu belongs to her. It doesn't. She is a brat and the worst Pokemon character of all. Why is she so mean to psyduck? A Pokemon trainer loves all their Pokemon and if it wasn't for him misty would have no Pokemon at all.
"All of them are little denigrates."
There is a difference between supporting your opinion and using evidence to back it up, and just forcing one to agree with you because you think your opinion is right. If it was fact, of course we'd believe it, but not everybody has to like Misty. Now although she has admirable qualities, such as confidence and independence, I just never liked Misty. In my opinion she was too aggressive and stubborn and acted the same way some of the girls in my class acted. It would get annoying seeing them try to act all tough and tomboyish and when a boy would hit them, they'd get all defensive. And just because I dislike her, doesn't mean I have get all in your face about it just because you want me to agree with you. And it's awfully funny how nobody insulted or cursed you out because of your train of thoughts. This a website where different people can have different opinions, and that means that we can say what we want to say speak our minds but that ...more
"Oh why did Misty leave, she was awesome! " "The older show is better than the new show! " "Go die in a hole May and Dawn, and other female characters! We hate you! "
Do you know how whiny, bratty, and immature this sounds? I mean, some of the Misty fans are constantly complaining over a cartoon character's departure, and that's stupid. I mean, come on! Not only that, but they want to act like she was a perfect and pretty tomboy and crap like that. Dude, Misty was as far from tomboyish as you can get. She always insisted on going shopping, she was scared of harmless bugs, and she would always pick and choose which Pokemon and humans she was nice to. Are you kidding me? That's not tomboyish, that is snobby and stuck-up. All the other females were original (well, except for Serena) and they had their own qualities that made them very likable. I mean, May was sweet and tomboyish, Dawn was optimistic and playful, and Iris was athletic and headstrong. In other words, they were cool. ...more
Misty acts like she's a perfect tomboy when she's not. A tomboy is a girl who likes sports, dirt, wearing loose clothing, and hanging out with boys. Misty only cared about looking pretty, romance, hitting her friends, and using her sisters as a lame excuse of why she did it. Not only that but she wore too many revealing clothes when she was only ten-years-old. Bikinis, small tank tops, short-shorts? That's not tomboyish, that's just hillbilly. Plus, the most annoying thing about her is that Togepi. Ash nearly got hurt when he found the egg, Brock stayed up day and night to take care of the egg, and even Meowth treated it like a baby before it hatched. What did Misty do? Nothing. She just stole it from them and babied it to death. When Ash got Phanpy it helped it to grow stronger and Brock did the same with Bonslide. And the thing about it is, they kept them in poke balls. Misty on the other hand just carried her baby around so she could look cute. May was sort of tomboyish, Dawn was ...more
All I ever hear is people saying that Paul is such a great rival man he is not. Unlike most of a Ash's rivals, Paul did noting but abuse and abandon is Pokemon because they weren't "good enough". All of Ash's rivals cared for their Pokemon and supported them so they could do their best. And even though Gary would tease Ash a bunch it was just a friendly rivalry to prove who was better and even despite this Gary still loved his Pokemon. Paul on the other just yelled at them to do better, even when they trained their hardest? That's messed up.
I don't understand Paul's (or trip's) character. I'm not talking about how he's mean to his Pokemon, but more as to WHY he's mean to his Pokemon. So he has some older brother complex or something? He somehow thought when he was real young that his brother didn't treat his Pokemon poorly enough for some reason? What kind of screwed up thinking made Paul equate his brother losing to the pyramid dude with THREE LEGENDARIES, as to be strong trainer you must treat Pokemon like lesser beings even though they can easily tear you apart? Ash's rivalry may be interesting to see how they clashed, but he was an awful character who made zero sense.
Is Paul really that self-centered and cruel?!?!? Out of all the rivals he is definitely the worst one. All he cares about is power and he shows no respect to his own Pokemon (especially Chimchar) or to other people like Ash and his friends. He's always calling others and Pokemon "pathetic", doesn't care about friendship or kindness, and he cares about nobody but himself! Also, because of the way he treats his own Pokemon with such disrespect how dare he calls himself a trainer! If he's always going to be scolding his own Pokemon for thinking they are weak, worthless, and useless then I don't think he deserves to be a Pokémon trainer!
Paul should be the number one most hateable Pokemon character because he was nothing but an abuser!
He never treated his Pokemon as friends! Only objects of power... which is a shame.
And every time when ash says something nice and positive about Pokemon being friends, he just says the word Pathetic! That always gets on my nerve!
But of course, there are moments that totally gave us satisfaction, like paul loosing a battle against the awesome powerful Cynthia
And what about the battle of paul against the pyramid king? That battle was just satisfying! Paul loosing while the pyramid king hasn't lost any Pokemon.
But yet ash feels bad for paul. I didn't even felt bad for him, HE DESERVED TO LOOSE!
Revenge over a stupid cookie is one thing, but to hold a grudge over years and taking it out on a girl who only looked like the one who stole it? Talk about pathetic. All he does is get butt-hurt over May beating him, and no matter how many times May is willing to forgive him, he NEVER can. He's so sad that he dresses up as a little girl. Really, a baby outfit would be a better suit for him since that's what he all acted like. It's surprising he even had a friend (Solidad) from how huge of a self-centered prick he was.
I don't like this guy at all. He's a weirdo & he holds petty grudges against May. Plus he always goes out his way to humiliate her & get her to feel miserable. He gets butt hurt when May defeats him & he also does the most for attention. He sucks so much that I like Iris & Serena better than him.
Harley is one of the most manipulative egotistical self-centered guys I have ever seen. Trying to sabotage may in her contests over a damn cookie is just wrong. You know if he was half the man that I don't think he is he wiuld bury the hatchet sith may and just tell her that he's sorry for what he did.
Harley acts like a whiny bratty toddler, He wanted to do revenge to poor May over a stupid dumb cookie. He throws tantrums when he gets to his house, #HarleyFromPokemonIsAWhinyBaby. I feel bad for May that she has to put up with this idiot. Jar Jar Binks is way better than Harley.
Cilan may be annoying, but hating him because he replaced Brock is stupid. We all know Brock had to leave but it wasn't just because he stayed so long, it's because of Ash. Why I say that is because Ash is the only child, and he lives alone with his mother so he had no father figure whatsoever. But after he met Brock, Ash kinda started depending on Brock for everything. He looked up to him as a role model and even began taking on some of his personality traits. Eventually though, Ash started to mature, and then grew into his own character which stated giving him not much of big need to depend on him. So he left not only to become a Pokemon doctor but also because he knew Ash could handle things on his own unless he met new friends. And besides, when Ash met Cilan, Cilan didn't really act as a brother or father but more of a close friend. He may have not have as big of a relationship, but he was still important to the plot. And if they hadn't created Cilan, the viewers would've gotten ...more
There is no redeeming qualities in this poor excuse of a traveling companion. It baffles me why this turd even needed to exist because later on he was replaced by somebody who is actually a bit entertaining. If the Pokemon Producers could improve on this insulting piece of fecal matter why did Cilan even need to exist? Oh wait, a piece of fecal matter would probably be offended by that remark! Final verdict, Cilan needs to burn in hell because he is easily the worst travel companion ever thought up. Sweet lord, did they really need to scrape the bottom of the barrel like this?
Conessuier, the worst goal in all existence. Not only does it require to act like a know-it-all jerk... just what the heck is the point of it? Just looking back on what he's said about Ash's Pokemon in their first battle, I wouldn't be surprised that he said those mean things to Burgundy's Pokemon. All this kid does is OBSESS over every little thing, because his real goal is that bland. Dudes worse than most fangirls of anything.
And the awful "Evaluation time! " or whatever... Is this show trying to get 5 year olds interested or something?
It's actually funny how the Striaton gym leaders are named after various foods. Cilan: cilantro.
Chili: chili pepper.
These are all ingredients in Mexican food, fitting for their spicy personality in the games. The anime... not so much.
This brat should be higher! She's so annoying. She yells in practically every line she is in, & sometimes adds French into her sentences at the end! What is the French equivalent for webaboo? That's her! She's so pathetic she follows Cilan just to try & harass & upset him, but she fails at doing that. That's not all she fails at though. She sucks as a trainer, never winning a battle. BW ash may be bad at battles, but he has a way better track record than 0 wins 10 loses. She should release all her Pokemon, not ash. He's a way better trainer than she is, & she sucks at being a connawhater too!
Why is Georgia even friends with her?! She's so annoying! She thinks she is so strong while it's quite obvious she's the weakest trainer of all time. She also thinks she's too good for everyone, even herself. All these tiny elements are what makes her annoying. Also, she lost to Trip's Serperior, with two moves, one of them being an attack that is not very effective on it. She needs to stop entering tournaments and actually get better!
Burgundy is your typical French person. Snobby arrogant annoying and just can't win any battles. How much of a loser can uou be the only trainer she ever beat was chilly and he ain't much himself. Burgundy find something else to do like cook French fries because honestly you can't make it as a trainer
This character ruined the show for me. She has no accomplishments other than becoming a C class cona-whatever and earning a trio badge. Now, her entire purpose for being a Pokemon trainer is just so she can beat Cilan. What a lame excuse for a character.
"I'd say she's a breath of fresh air compared to know-it-all whiny brat Max"
I'd say it's the other way if around you ask me. I mean, sure Max is annoying but at least he was kind of nice and not so hyperactive all the time. Bonnie on the other hand acted wild and stupid. I know she's just a little kid but that's no excuse. They act like they have to make the series about stereotypical females. All the other years we had a competitive tomboy, sweet coordinator, cheerful girly-girl, and a wild jungle girl. In other words, unique females. Now, we have a ten-year-old barbie doll, and pint sized idiot.
I adore Bonnie, (not to mention her "catching" is extremely important to the plotline).
She is nothing like Max, which is ok, Max was annoying and rude and he was extremely smart and sarcastic, but we also get to see his nice side where he cares for his sister and his friends, and we get to see him grown to love Pokemon instead of just strategies
Bonnie is adorable, she's the voice of all the viewers, an adorable narrator to Serena's (annoying) monologue's about Ash. Bonnie's a child, and we see her learn about Pokemon more and more.
to be honest having a child in the show is always entertaining and undoubtedly adorable
To me Bonnie is just so annoying I can see everyone's point but even if she is young at least try to act even the slightest bit of mature like max. I just really hate this character who literally contributes nothing to the show all she does is the same thing over again saying "can you take care of my brother" and "a pokemon wow let me take care of it." Her voice to me is very annoying and is very predictable sometimes I even wish team rocket would kidnap her then lose her in some forest where she could never be found and I hope that there will never be a character like her again in the pokemon series.
How dense can you people get, what has bonnie ever done to ever get on the list. She expresses her love for Pokemon and you think that it's a bad thing. If you want to keep a kid from the Pokemon series on here look no further than that stuck up little no it all brat max he'd be a perfect candidate for this list but take bonnie of this list cause she has no reason to be on it.
Ok... I don't know who put him on here? I had no problem with him after I admit I wasn't a big fan of Pokemon anime as a kid... Sorry Gary's hater but I would be opposite of shipping of Ash and Misty since I'm not big fan of them since I'm neutral. I'd rather see him getting humiliation or tease from his favorite pesky girl Leaf Green or seeing Gary and Leaf Green would be paired up like a childhood love and hate together! It's like she would've been a nerdy and his personality because of bunch of cheerleader and a cocky all because he brags he's way ahead of you that he has bunch of badges would have been turned real if GameFreak should've done opportunity this! Leaf Green would be a cure for breaking Gary Oak ego and a playboy. Also it would be funny if Gary ego player would start caring about Leaf throughout Kanto and Johto! Too bad GameFreak missed opportunity... It would've becoming so real! :( If they were had time to add female counterpart for Red & Green and Gary's real ...more
I have no problem with gary what so ever. There's nothing wrong with a friendly rivalry. And him and ash are prime examples. Now look at him he's a Pokemon researcher now and I think it's pretty cool. I couldn't think of anyone better that would be a cooler researcher than gary.
Gary, Misty, and Brock shouldn't be on here. And come on guys, give Team Rocket a little credit. They've been after Pikachu for 17 years and still haven't given up. At least be impressed by their determination.
Gary is the worst character ever. Seriously, before, all he would do was follow Ash and his friends and call them losers.
I'm so glad Leon wrecked his stupid charizard-x. Alain was basically Leon in XYZ. He also had any character to him. I heard people say it would've been better if Tobias got curbstompped. Please, you XY(Z) fans just overhype anything from that series. Alien sucked as a character almost as much as Tobias did, but at least we didn't have to waste 5 episodes of Tobias being a Gary Stu & forcing a bond with some younger trainer.
He's more competent than Ash as a trainer but he is so BORING TO WATCH. He's so dull, bland, and predictable because you know the outcome of pretty much all of battles. He wins. That's it. That's all you get. He only lost like 2 times I think and if he beats Ash, then that would make things worse for him. He's such a Gary Stu, the Tobias 2.0 if you want to get real of how much he easily defeats almost everyone he makes eye contact with. Ash if you have to lose to Alain because the writers don't want you to win leagues most of the time, don't beat only 2 of his Pokemon. I beg of yo u.. y ou can do better.
Even though I hate Serena more than Alain, I still hate that guy quite a lot! And no, I'm not gonna go easy on him and try to find positive aspects of his character like one of my favorite anime characters who I will not disclose the name of in fear of people comparing Alain to him. Anyways, if you wanna know how much people hate Alain, I looked at a forum on MyAnimeList.net discussing episode 38 of Pokemon XY&Z, and when I tried looking at the poll results for the episode, a huge majority rated it a 1 out of 5. BY A LANDSLIDE! No higher scoring had as much votes as the 1 out of 5 rating! 2 out of 5 was just the runner-up! Yup. Lots of people hated this episode because of Alain.
The only thing that... Kind of annoyed me was that Ash lost the League while they made it look like he would win this time. But other than that, I don't hate Alain. And still better than Tobias, at least Alain was introduced before, was more than just the guy whom Ash lost to at the League and didn't have a Darkrai and a Latios...
Everyone compares Jessie to Misty when the two are actually different. Yeah, they are both tsunderes but, unlike Misty, Jessie had a bad life. And I know what you're saying "They both had terrible lives." Actually no, Misty just grew up with sisters who teased her every now and then. I mean, I know how it feels but that's no excuse to go around beating people up. Jessie on the other hand grew up in an orphanage and was forced to eat snow and mess like this. Not only that, but Jessie's a villain, which doesn't make her personality that strange. But Misty, you're a hero, so act like it!
I don't agree, Jessie had a bad life, I'm pretty sure her dad died and her mom disappeared trying to catch Mew. She was taken into an orphanage that was so broke she ate snow. She grew up and wanted to be a nurse but failed cause the school was for Chanseys. She meet James at Pokemon tech and got the worst score ever (with James. ) She is also mistreated by guys. She had a awful life that made her the way she is today, her and Misty is the most realistic.
*chokes* No! Not my lovely Jessie! She is my favourite female character, possibly my favourite overall! I just love her so much and I can believe people actually hate on her. Yes sometimes she can come across as snobby or rude but she's really a good person with feelings and at times it might not seem like it but she really cares about James, Meowth and her Pokemon. I'm also a hardcore Rocketshipper. (Seriously Holy Matrimony, watch it now)
In short, I adore Jessie and she definitely does not deserve to be on this list!
Jessie is the only female character on this show I dislike. Sure you may say "but Dawn and Iris are annoying! " Those two may be annoying, but Jessie definitely takes the cake. She's rude, bossy, and completely domineering towards her teammates James and Meowth. She may be the reason why I don't like watching the Team Rocket trio that much.
This girl is annoying as hell. She's rude and eats other people's food. She's like a cross between Harley and Ursula, she become a "Dragon Buster" just because she got beaten in a land where dragon Pokemon live. Please. And then every time she loses a match she'll be like "It's not a dragon type so it doesn't count." That girl is freakishly obsessing over dragon type Pokemon
The thing that mostly annoys me about Georgia is how little sense her character makes. She got defeated by a Dragon Pokémon once, so now she dedicated her life to beating dragon trainers?
Then she runs her big mouth every time and demands to fight against dragon types only, WITH her super effective ice type Pokémon. And whenever she's up to fight against a pokémon that her Beartic is not super effective against it's "not worth her time".
Demanding you only fight pokémon when you have a type advantage seems pretty cowardly to me.
And besides that she's basically the same person as Burgundy. One of them was already plenty annoying, why the writers decided to introduce one for Iris AND Cilan is beyond me.
This girl can be a little annoying, but I appreciate that they gave Iris a rival instead of not giving her any like Misty. But I wish she was... Better? She is kind of weak, useless and forgettable honestly.
Oh my good, you always say that your going to beat Iris, but you never do! You always talking, but your so weak that you get out on the first round in every battle tournament!
Really? I know TRio has lost their charm over the years and are just useless nowadays, but seriously he's nowhere near the worst get him off here!
Stupid voice, stupid personality, he's terrible. He's not even a villain, he's just there for little six year olds to point him out a how stupid he is.
I just feel poor for this guy. He deserves better than to be used as an annoying character for Team Rocket.
James is a low class slob who came to my office looking for consulting work and I had zero interest.
It depends which Bianca we are talking about. Game Bianca is awesome, really loved her character a lot. Anime Bianca, however... Yes she was funny at times. I didn't hate seeing her or roll my eyes when she appeared or anything. The episode with her father made me kinda emotional, and she is nowhere near the worst or most annoying character the anime has to offer, at all. But honestly, sometimes, she was meh, like wanting to trade her Emboar, her first Pokemon and supposed best friend, for a cute Pokemon she just met. Makes one wonder whether she truly cares for her Emboar - or other Pokemon. Also she made this Zorua so uncomfortable. I get it, Zorua is adorable, but 1/ it doesn't want to hug you and 2/ don't trade your best friend for it just because it's cute! That's what kinda bothered me about her. She came off as uncaring at times. But otherwise I don't hate her
God, I despise her. In the original games and the sequels, she's annoying. In the original Black and White, she's not ready to be a Trainer! She always has her dad hovering over her, including the run-in with her dad in Nimbasa City! Eventually, Elesa barges in, and resolves the situation. Good. She would be better off without her dad, anyway. Stupid daddy's girl. In the sequels, she's improved greatly, but she's still annoying. Especially the parts in Reversal Mountain where she follows you behind your back. And she always tries to be a smart person, but just comes off as a smart aleck! She's basically the Seymour Skinner of the Pokemon franchise.
Oh come this girl shouldn't even be on this list. She needs to have her one website about how stupid and annoying she is. But then her stupidity would probably cause the Internet to crash. Bianca grow up and then you can be a trainer but you have a mind of a five year old but then again a five year old is probably smarter than you.
From this character to up, they are all good (in my opinion). Sure, Bianca can be a little annoying, but she still is unique from all other characters. And yes, Ash may be the worst trainer ever, but he still cares for pokemon. I'm not even sure why everyone else Bianca and above is hated. They are all good characters.
He left his Charmander alone. Need I say more? This guy is very egotistical and douchy. He should be in the top 10 at least. Lana isn't that bad.
He was such a douche. Well, I guess that was his character purpose. But he's still a trashy person like Paul.
The worst piece of filth to ever grace the screen of T.V.. His hilarious accent is the only thing likable about this douchebag.
An @$$! poor charmander.
Personally, I remember despising Dawn at first. And why was that? Stupid propaganda and shippers that's what. With everyone commenting on how /awful/ and /useless/ Dawn was, I didn't really know any better and I agreed. It wasn't until I started watching the DP series that I understood how not awful and useless Dawn was.
Dawn is one of my favorite Pokemon characters up to date. And no, it wasn't because she was pretty or anything, but it was the character development she's been through. Unlike May, who managed to succeed in everything last minute (forgive me if I'm wrong, it's been a while since I watched the advanced gen, and I do like May thank you very much), I loved how Dawn was pretty much set to fail during the beginning. It showed that contests weren't easy. You had to work hard to reach your goals. And I believe that the writers did a great job with that for Dawn. During the beginning of her journey Dawn was overly confident, and determined to be a Top Coordinator. She ...more
It saddens me how Dawn is so high up on this list just because she's girly and beat May and does contests just like May too. I love May, but just because she was the first coordinator does not mean Dawn is automatically worse than her or a horrible character. Unlike Serena she did not cry over her first loss. After losing three times she cried but quickly got back up because she realized that it would not change anything and that she needs to work hard and be determined. This is character development. After realizing what she was doing wrong, she learned from her mistakes and was able to beat May using that knowledge. At least she did not cut her hair and change her whole look thinking that will change everything (which by the way it does not) I also don't like the fact that people hate on her because of her style of clothing. Like have you seen Misty in some episodes? She shows more than Dawn ever had but no everyone still thinks it's fine for her to wear more revealing clothes BUT ...more
To be honest, Dawn was the first poke girl I saw on T.V., I did later watch all the episodes from Misty & May and liked all three of them. Yes they're different, seeing Misty as a Tomboy, May as a mix, and Dawn as complete girly girl but I don't understand all the hate. The hate should be on SERENA rather than dawn.
Dawn is my favorite but not because she was pretty, it was her personality and character. She was so likable and had that journey type story with wins and loses. She learned a lot from Ash while also being a super great friend to him. I couldn't see them as a couple that much because I knew Ash was going to leave to another region but she literally looks great with anyone. I think she and Kenny fit the best but there are tons of ships out there. Personally, Dawn is a great friend and character and the writers did an outstanding job but now are trying to make Serena a Dawn replacement.
Dawn was one of my favorite Pokemon characters. She was so sweet and bubbly, and a great support to Ash. Everyone says she is a terrible character just because she lost in a couple contests. Hello? Nobody's perfect. You don't just try and succeed. You have to work hard. And that's just what she did. And not only that but it's pretty stupid how everyone talked about liking Misty better. Well Dawn only bickered with Ash sometimes not all the time. And unlike Misty, Dawn never hit or slapped Ash for saying one little thing. Besides, Dawn matured while Misty only got worse.
Are you serious, charizard should not even be on this list. Ok charizard didn't exactly listen to ash at first but that was due to ash's lack of experience at the time. Now he and charizard are almost as close as he and pichachu are. So in my opinion charizard on this list is like saying that a magikarp is the most powerful Pokemon of all time. Seriously this is worst choice on this list that I have seen
I sense something, "overrated" Pokemon are universally hated while "underrated" ones are loved. Don't find any overrated, just had to say this. Also, if it wasn't for the anime, Charizard wouldn't be my #1 favorite Pokemon, though still top 10 worthy. Felt so sorry for him that even when he went Maverick, I still felt upset.
Heh, I bet the people who put Charizard on this list never watched past season 1. Charizard is definitely one of Ash's best and most reliable Pokemon these days, he shouldn't be here.
Charizard is so lazy. I'm surprise it doesn't have the ability "truant". He also makes Ash lose the lead in the first season. No wonder why Ash got rid of him.
How is he not already on this list? And how is Dawn on this list and not Kenny? Oh, right. I guess it's because he is so forgettable! I always hated the way he treated Dawn like a trophy, and was jealous of her and Ash's friendship. He is also the reason she was traumatized by Plusle and Minen. He always talked down to her and NEVER cared about HER feelings! He " wanted" her because he had a crush on her but doesn't care about her as a person. He has NO good qualities whatsoever. He's so pathetic that I almost feel sorry for him. Almost.
Kenny is a little prick, that is what he is. I hated him since I first saw him in the anime. His first appearance was making fun of Dawn in front of her new friends (Ash and Brock) by telling them embarrassing childhood stories about her. And we have to believe he wants to be with her? He doesn't respect her. You know what he deserves? Dawn to drop kick him right in the face.
I hated the way he treated Dawn in the series. How are you supposed to be in love with her when all you do is put her down? That's like saying "a boy picks on you because He loves you" Even though that's not love. It never is and shouldn't be. He was the cause of her trauma, because HE WAS THE ONE WHO STARTED CALLING HER DIAMOND DANDRUFF. Who does that to a person they love?! Then he got the nerve to have a battle with ash to determine who Dawn gets to travel with as if she's property. Dawn can make her own decisions. I'm glad she went with Ash. And when the series end, I hope she ends up with that other trainer who liked her. At least he was trying to impress her and not put her down. I don't care what dawn does in her future as long as he's not in it.
I have a brother named Kenny, and he is such an ass! If you ever meet him, would you kill him for me?
Cameron is an idiot, because he was always assuming things. He ASSUMED that trainers only need seven badges, because he thought the eighth badge was only awarded to the champion. He ASSUMED that he did not need to register for the league and almost did not qualify. And he ASSUMED that a full Pokémon battle only consisted of five Pokémon. And yet, he still defeated Ash. What the hell!
I mean, it's like if some lazy college student never went to class, played video games most of the time, ASSUMED when his assignments are due and ASSUMED what day exams are held and somehow gets A+. What a load of bull!
Always and forever annoying! I hate him, not only did he become the worst characters in the BW anime, he is (kind of) like a cheater, he stretches his headband, and it lets go of it so he can have an idea. What is that stupid headband made out of that gives him a damn idea? A buzzer?! Buzzjoy! Nope, not only that, I just can't stand him any More. He's the worst of all out of the other characters, but not as awful as that hypocritical bastard, Stueben, I don't care what's his name or how is it pronounced.
What can you say about Cameron he's as idiotic as they come. I mean he doesn't know that you have to have 8 gym badges to get in the Pokemon league and that a full battle consists of six Pokemon. He ain't no trainer he's a laughing stock. But I gotta say he does add a lot of character to the show. He just needs to figure out how to use it right.
Cameron was a quirky kind of rival. Not the best of rivals and not the most skilled. He's goofy and kinda scatterbrained, but can be funny. But my hatred of him comes from the league. He's a lot worse than Ash in skill, he got lucky because the writers wanted him to lose. It would've been better Ash lost to Virgil in my opinion
When Ash finally beats Paul, gets out of the Top 8 position, and is this close to winning the league, this guy comes in. No, not with your average Raichu or Caterpie, but with a bunch of stinkin' legendary Pokemon. And in the end, he creams all 6 of Ash's Pokemon with 2 and becomes the victor. Either the writers wanted to make Ash seem cooler, or they tried to give us another so-called rival we wanted Ash to wipe the floor with.
In a way, Sinnoh's League loss wasn't as disgraceful as the Unova or Kanto one. Beating two legendary Pokemon after a fierce battle allowed Ash to go out in a blaze of glory rather than losing to an idiot and his overpowered Lucario, or losing to a Charmander and a Pikachu because he couldn't train his Charizard properly.
However, that doesn't mean Tobias isn't the most blatant incarnation of "we will never let Ash win a League (at the time, before Alola) that isn't the special Orange Islands' one, Ash this season battles strategically and has good Pokemon, but we will introduce this character at the last minute just to show that we won't accept for him to win" mentality the writers had. And it was even worse that he didn't have any other moment or was introduced beforehand, like even Cameron was introduced before the League and had some moments before defeating Ash and same for the other people who defeated him in Leagues, but this guy does not. He just shows up with his ...more
If Tobias didn't have those legendary Pokemon by his side it would have been a lot more competitive between him and his opponents so him being on the show is a complete rip off to the other characters on the show. When he won the sinnoh league they should have ended the series right there because he had the most unfair battles in the entire series.
Meanwhile at the writers' desks...
"We can't have Ash win the Sinnoh League! We need the series to go on further! Ash can't win until the franchise ends! "
"I know. Let's have a Gary Stu walk in with two event-exclusive legendaries that Ash never bothered to catch, and have him throw the boy out of the tournament! "
"Excellent idea! Then we can go to Unova without Ash ending his journey! "
I don't like her she's annoying, causes drama for no particular reason the only thing that makes me only dislike her instead hate her is because she looks like Teto.. Yeah I know stupid reason but come on! Who could hate teto?
Is just jerk to cause drama. No personality besides being a sore loser and she had no reason to be so cruel to Dawn.
She's such a diva and drama queen. She snotty sassy and snobby. She's like Harley in a dress and pigtails.
She's way better than Dawn, Dawn has only defeated her out of sheer luck.
Of course, he's the one who made Zebstrika use normal-type moves when it's pure electric-type. This idiot should have known better.
No one cares about what your name is Stephen! You say you want to change your name but if you do, it will still be spelled the same way! It will still be pronounced wrong! Get over it!
I guess all of you who voted for him hate Butch too, huh?
Well, nothing about him really makes me dislike his character. But since he stopped Cilan's "EVALUATING TIME! " I kinda respect the man! Right on, Stephen <3 Favorite B/W character due to that.
I don't mind Stephan. At least I know how to say his name right. At least he is better than Ash and Serena. He is like Ira Gamagori from Kill la Kill.
Who put Clement on this list?!?!?! Clement is the BEST traveling companion out of all of Ash's XY companions. Sure, he has a bit of annoying catchphrase in my opinion but he totally makes up for it when the invention he makes explodes, it's just hilarious! That doesn't mean all his inventions are totally useless, he just needs to practice more!
I've always found him to be so annoying.
"Oh look at me I have sciency stuff hurrdurrhaha now let my glasses give off a stupid flash while I fail for comic relief."
Slap-stick, the true pinacle of humour!
I've always found his inventions to be stupid, unrealistic and impractical. Plus the fact he won't shut his mouth about them always pisses me off.
Annoying voice, annoying attitude.
Seriously, he whines all the time, and with the voice actor sucking so bad it makes it worse. Also his whole repeating "The future is now thanks to science" is already more drawn out than Team rocket's daily intro.
Of course I've a remake with a black hair and his name is... JOSE SANTAMARIA, based on Sergey Surkov, who in real is current top Professional Latin dancers!
In Anime itself, I've never see this boy as a good replacement of Brock (And that's why I've never remade Brock)
Hey Tracey doesn't deserve to be on this list. Sure, he replaced Brock, but that was only temporary, we got Brock back. He may not be as interesting as Brock or Clemont, but at least he doesn't have some annoying catchphase or act like a complete fangirl when he finds things he loves, like cough *Cilan* cough.
Who in the world could just sit there and take pictures all day seriously I would be bored out of my mind trying to do that tracey doesn't seem to be living a very interesting life by doing that.
Tracey is worst character! He is so annoying! And he replaced Brock!?!?!?! What! Brock was one of the best characters! I hate him and everyone else does too!
He's not THAT good in my opinion (but he's WAY better than Sophocles), but did you HAVE to have him almost replace Brock. He isn't funny as Brock, Cilan (yes I like Cilan) and Clemont. But he is better than Kiawe, Sophocles and Lana.
