Best Fast Food Chains in Canada
This list compiles the fast food chains in Canada that us Canadians love the most. There might not be a single Canadian that dislikes this chain. You wait and see, USA, you'll soon understand the love we have for this place.
This is epic. I love it so much and it's way better than Starbucks, where you have to pay so much for the same thing. But it's better at Tim Hortons.
I love it more than anything else. Their food isn't greasy like the rest. They are fast with their service and Canadian.
It's been a staple in many households in our province and in my house for many years. From birthdays to date nights to just a regular Tuesday when you're too tired to cook. It's locally owned and that's reason enough to win my vote.
There's no comparison when they are using this much bigger fresh product compared to the other guys' little obviously frozen pieces. You can feed your whole family a lot cheaper and with better food than the burger joints.
Mary Brown's has the juiciest and tastiest chicken I have ever had! And I've tried a LOT of others! I drove 2 hours just to get their chicken. It's the first one here on Vancouver Island. I was so excited! And I have no problem making the trek again and again.
They say "Harvey's makes your hamburger a beautiful thing", and we aren't disagreeing one bit.
My family and I go to Harvey's all the time and we can't get enough.
Man, I'd sure love to move to Canada after reading this list.
How is this not number one? It's tasty and way better than McDonald's. The baby burgers are so good. Their new Call of Duty burger is so good! It's purely Newfoundland Call of Duty, unlike McDonald's. It's really wild-caught! In America, A&W is just root beer. In Canada, it's both root beer made by real cane sugar and tasty Alberta beef burgers. The only thing is that the A&W root beer in the USA is made with vanilla, and I actually like it.
Not a lot of people really know that A&W Canada is a completely separate company from the American A&W. They were once part of one company but split sometime during the later part of the last century. All I know now is that we had "The Great Root Bear" and "The Burger Family" (Papa Burger, etc.) first, and the U.S. company borrowed them from us.
The oddest thing about NYF is how its claim to fame is its poutine, which isn't even from New York (or the U.S. for that matter). The great and mighty Canadian poutine remains as an essential part of every balanced Canadian diet (not really) and is truly a national treasure. Seriously, U.S., give this stuff a try.
I can't get there very often but it's so much better than other options.
"4 3 9 OH OH OH OH Pizza Nova!" If that line doesn't sound familiar to you, then you haven't experienced the great pizza chain that is Pizza Nova.
Mind you, it's primarily found around Toronto and Hamilton, so only a limited number of people have had the chance to try it.
Known also by its former official name, 'Mr. Submarine', Mr. Sub manages to survive against the colossal sandwich giant, Subway, and keeps its Canadian customers happy with good food and fair prices.
A better sub than the competitors.
Like a better, Canadian Subway.
If Pizza Pizza ever lowered their prices, I would be a much more frequent customer. For me, if you can make pizza with excellent crust, you've won me over, and this place certainly has. This chain's existence kept the Canadian branch of Little Caesars Pizza from using the line as their catchphrase. Instead, they simply use the line "Hot 'N Ready!" in their television ads.
I love their pepperoni especially, should definitely order that more often. My only concern is that it's kind of pricey. Really good food but you're going to need much more than $20 if you're going to order from this place.
There are a lot of these around the Greater Toronto Area and boy, are their burgers ever tasty. Beats McDonald's any day.
I'm not even from Canada but I ate here about 10,000 times and counting. Some of the best burgers in my city.
Best post-Toronto Marathon veggie burger.
I've only been there a handful of times. Sadly, this type of fast food chain seems to struggle to reach popularity and familiarity. If there were more locations, I'd go to them more. It sure is healthier.
I love the filling choices, not your same old, same old. Not a huge bun to smother your fillings. It's better for you, with great service at all locations I've been to.
Very healthy options. Something for everyone's taste preferences. Smoothies are awesome. So is the service. Very clean place.
They have the best burgers and a great selection of drinks. It deserves number 1.
Whenever I see a candidate has McDonald's training, I always interview them. And to be honest, I usually hire them because they have been trained properly.
McDonald's isn't Canadian, it's American. It's a good fast food place, but still.
I mean... it's McDonald's. It speaks for itself.
It will always be my favorite. It has the best chicken in the history of Earth.
Greco makes a good pizza. It's great for takeout.
One of Canada's most loved dessert chains, they strive to make sure that each customer comes out feeling way more full than they are used to. Pam and Grant Hooker began serving BeaverTails pastries in 1978 at the Killaloe Fair, west of Ottawa, Ontario. Soon after, in the late 70s and early 80s, stores were popping up left and right.
I haven't had one of these in years but oh my goodness, they're so good.
I love Pizza Delight pizza. There's nothing else like it.
I would eat this for the rest of my life without complaining or getting sick of it. It is so delicious.
Consistently good burgers, huge. Share the small fries. Nice staff.
This is one of the best breakfasts you will ever have. Extra plates were necessary for the sides with my omelet.
If you want true Neapolitan pizza, this is the best place to go, next to having it in Italy. St. John's, Halifax, Charlottetown, Moncton, Cambridge, and Cavendish are all Canadian locations.
