Top 10 Worst Albums by Good Rock Bands
Shenanigans is still better than most of the stuff that they've put out in the past 10 years.
Just over all a disappointment American Idiot was a better follow up though.
Techincally, this is a compilation album. So, I would probably not put this on the list.
Disappointing
Do you think God stays in heaven because he lives in fear what he created? Well, if I was with Metallica, I would’ve stayed in the studio in fear of what I had created.
Metallica was already on thin ice with fans after going mainstream with the Black Album, Load, and Re-Load. They became even more hated in 2000 when they, lead by drummer Lars Ulrich, sued peer-to-peer file sharing site Napster when a leaked, unfinished version of their song ‘I Disappear’ from the Mission: Impossible 2 soundtrack was found on the site.
Finally, there was St. Anger. In an attempt to make them sound like garage rock, they toned back on the solos and went with a (now infamous) snare drum lead sound.
The whole album was lyrically weak, uninspired, and extremely annoying. By this point, it seemed like Metallica had lost it.
In fact, on a YouTube channel called Rocked, the host went into a joke conspiracy theory that Metallica knew St. Anger sucked and only went after ...more
This is pretty bad.
Like this band but dear god this album sucks!
Miley Cyrus is on it. Enough said...
Worst rock album ever made such a shame because A7X is a good band but this is all of their worst songs in one album
My biggest problem with this album is that Tyler Connolly doesn't even sound like himself for most of the songs except for Angel. And the lyrics are just... horrendous!
As someone that has listened to Hybrid Theory, Meteora and Minutes to Midnight I got to say this album sucks. It sounds so not Linkin Park like that it hurts. This was the album that made LP use a lot of auto tune and electronic garbage. This album was so bad that I couldn't listen to the whole album and stopped by track 8. However in all honesty Living Things is 10x worse.
